Viral wasn’t sure how he’d handle the food but he knew Vegeta was probably going to end up getting fed up with him and end up trying to force the food down his throat using psychological terms. He was probably struggling more with trying to show he could do it to someone and would probably be alright trying to eat if he was by himself, but then again last time he ate by himself he might as well have had a collar on him and be tied to a post. “Hmmm reject? I don’t think I’m going to have much of a chance if that happens…” At worst his body would completely shut down and his struggle against the illness would continue to persist, only making things even worse and possibly ending in his body completely shutting down. He was pretty worried he would never be able to find a way to return to his normal state, whatever that was like again. He couldn’t remember what it was like to feel ‘normal’, worrying him greatly every day. Reaching over to the food he picked up a piece of meat, staring at it for a moment before looking to Vegeta. “…I’m sure you’re hungry too…so you should eat as well. Maybe I’ll be encouraged by you eating along with me…”

Krom was already starting to think through what he would be doing later on for Takeshi’s training, seeing how he was the one who was already making the most progress. Those twin Saiyans seemed to have a technique down so that was all fine for them, then there was also the Elite noble they had. If anything the noble could learn how to utilise his full Saiyan strength since he had a tail still, unlike Takeshi who seemed to had lost his a while ago and still hadn’t shown any signs of wanting it back. “The future of your race means nothing to you? Without a figure to look up to, havoc ensues. They are already struggling to survive enough as it is, don’t you want a future for them or do you want to ditch responsibility constantly?” Takeshi just showed absolutely no desire to help the Saiyans despite them being his own race. His race needed protecting and someone to look up to, but Takeshi seemed to disregard all of that and act selfishly. Grunting when Takeshi decided to snap at him he gave him a sharp look, staring at him before sighing. “Well I don’t know! Why don’t you go talk to Aito about it instead?? He knows about the kid’s problems, it’s just a matter of you helping him with them considering he’s your brother! You’re going to have to be the one to help him, especially after you nearly pissed your pants just because he was sat beside you…”

Shu gave Yumi a staring at as she explained how to fight the large and muscular, finding it informative even if a little difficult to imagine. It was the hitting them down that stumped him considering if he couldn’t hit them hard enough they wouldn’t be defeated. “Ooh, just got to work out how to hit them all the way down after that, huh?” While he wasn’t sure how strong he would need to be to defeat someone by using his speed he was pretty certain he wasn’t anywhere near that kind of strength anyway, seeing how weak he was really. While he wasn’t supposed to be concerned with how strong he actually was he certainly did wonder how he’d do with training with Yumi, hearing her suggestion. “You will? Ooh! Maybe show how to be fast! Not been fast enough to catch Krom yet…” While that all could wait, now was the time for him to be trying this play therapy thing Aito was wanting him to do. Feeling slightly overwhelmed by the toy chest he looked back to Yumi at her suggestion, his eyes quickly going back to the chest. “Favourites? Oooohhh but there’s so many!” Sitting down in front of the chest he quickly started to look through it, trying to find toys that appealed to him. Giving everything a good analysis whenever he picked out a toy, he started to place them in a little pile consisting of a few plush toys of various cartoon animals of Uunoue and a few action figures of some strange aliens, most likely heroes from other planets. “These fine! These do? Hopefully they okay!”

Perhaps he ought to stop with the hypothetical and just eat, seeing as Viral wasn't eating one way or another. It would be a shame if they got nothing out of this and the Beastman refused to eat; with the improvements he had seen as of late, one would think Viral would feel at least well enough to attempt a small meal. "You want me to eat as well...? Okay then," Vegeta said as he sliced some steak for himself, popping the food in his mouth without second thought, "It's not poisoned, in case you were wondering. Tastes fine if bland." But then he wasn't terribly hungry anyways, so it wasn't as though his meal had been ruined as a result. If a few bites on his part got Viral to eat then he'd gladly chow down on the meal before them. "You know... I've been thinking lately," he began, pausing briefly to place another bite in his mouth, "How much things have changed for us. I mean think about it, we were simply living on Earth just over a year and a half ago by now, and here we are, traveling the galaxy and seeing things most could only ever dream of." Frowning as he sampled the fish and found it to be just too fishy in taste, Vegeta set down his serving of that and instead returned to the steak, still not having the faintest idea what animal they were eating. "Kind of amazing to think about, how drastic that change is. And I've got the feeling we won't be heading back for a while yet."

"Why should I care? The time I spent with my race was lousy, and until recently I thought they were genocidal maniacs. Someone else can lead them, I want nothing to do with that," Takeshi retorted before giving a shake of his head, "Besides I'll even say it myself, I'm not leader material. You really think I'm gonna lead some planet?" Most days he couldn't even get his friends to do as he asked of them, how was he going to do something on that huge of a scale? For all he cared Krom could just take over, or his father could even stay in power if he gave up the whole ruling the galaxy deal. That still sat funny with him, thinking what his father had done had been for good; Shu and Viral would hardly agree to that sentiment, and their pain was plenty reason enough for him to remain skeptical. "I know I gotta help him, I don't know how though! If I did then I woulda ages ago!" Takeshi snapped again before scuffing his shoe against the floor, folding his arms and letting out an audible sigh, "I get it, I get it, I made things worse freaking out. Not my fault though... Last time it happened he attacked me too, and the time before that he tore off my tail..." His reaction wasn't that wrong then was it? "But fine, I'll go and see him. You just... Uh... You know, I really don't care. Do whatever, not my problem," he added, giving a dismissive wave before moving to leave the room as well.

Just because someone was larger than you didn't mean you couldn't beat them, Yumi knew that plenty from personal experience. While being outsized and physically weaker certainly made it tougher all you needed was a bit of know-how to bring someone down. "Yeah, exactly. If you can get them off balance, for instance, make them miss a punch, then all it takes is one good hit from you to knock them over," she explained with a grin, thrilled that Shu seemed to be getting it bit by bit, "See, you and I are lucky because we're fast. All we have to do is avoid getting hit until we can do something, understand?" They could work on it later today even, and if they could find someone to play the part of the big-bad guy then all the better; Aito wasn't really that bulky, but he did tower over Shu, maybe he'd be willing to play the dummy for their sake? Giving Shu a little push to pick out his toys, she watched as he picked out a good many from the chests, piling them up one by one until he had a sizable bunch of them. "Those will be perfect, good choices Shu," she said as she grabbed herself one of the toys, smiling as she waggled it in his face, "Hi there Shu, ready to play with me?"

The fact that eating had been a success with Viral was a large milestone. No sudden transformations or becoming ill, he'd eaten a decent portion of what had been provided and seemed no worse for wear now. Such news had both Vegeta and Aito beyond excited, as this meant that his physical symptoms at least should begin to recede, and with that the mental aspects ought to improve. They would still need to guide him through that though, provide therapy as needed and perhaps even change their approach to suit what was bothering him at the time. In all though it was very promising, and it would only continue to improve from there. So confident that Viral was in good health they had even moved him from a more secure place to a normal residence, albeit one that was sparsely populated. In favor of the indoor arboretum or a medical facility, he now enjoyed the equivalent of a small home of his own, off of the rebel facility and more towards the edges of the city. Medical personnel would still make occasional rounds to replenish medicines or bring equipment by, but in large he would now be left to do as he pleased, in what they hoped would be a more comfortable environment.

"Everything is coming back with promising results, this is good," Vegeta said, unable to hide his delight as a smile sat plain on his face, "Your genes have begun to repair themselves, the injections of proteins is seeing to that, and your weight is increasing as well thanks to muscle mass rebuilding. You're no longer at risk for unwarranted transformations, and are perfectly capable of moving about on your own accord. We're slowly but surely getting there." All that remained now was to make sure he kept up on his nutrition, gradual as it may be, and to continue therapy until he was in a more comfortable state of mind. All told there was no definitive timeline for what was left, but compared to just how long he'd suffered for, a week or even a month wouldn't be too bad. Placing down the documents on the coffee table, Vegeta sank back into an armchair and raised his arms up in a stretch, yawning before rubbing at his face. "Hm... I think this means too we can get back to training, if you'd like. I considered us exercising like before, but if we're both perfectly capable of fighting then why not train?"

Play therapy hadn't been quite what Yumi expected, though it seemed to have gone well. All she had done was pretend to be any various member of their group and play with Shu, some of which she'd done better than others. The purpose of such an exercise was lost on her even now, but seeing Aito constantly jotting down notes and nodding in approval had been good signs. The little boy had since gone off to be with Takeshi again, which left her with time to visit T'charrl; their friend had finally been given a clear bill of health and released from the hospital, and with only sparse visitors with everyone being busy she figured he'd be happy to have her. It took a bit of questioning of the staff to even track him down, but eventually she'd managed to find him. "There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!" Yumi called as she smiled, waving to T'charrl, "You look much better now, I'm glad. How do you feel though, still sore?"

Takeshi had known for a while he needed to do something for Shu but he'd neglected it. In some ways he had done so in hopes of Vegeta or someone else stepping up, feeling poorly equipped to even begin to try helping his brother. There had been a very foolish part of him to that had hoped the kid's problems may just fade with time, that he'd get better on his own and not even need the help. It was obvious now it had to fall to him, and as Krom had pointed out it should be him to do it anyways. Having since come to terms with taking that responsibility there was still the matter of how to actually help Shu. Transforming in his brother's case always seemed to be emotional, and goodness knows he was the last person who ought to be telling someone how to keep their cool. If he found a way to help Shu then he'd probably do it himself too, but that was a big if. "So uh... Training with Krom was interesting. Turns out he's a hell of a lot stronger than I thought," Takeshi began, smiling sheepishly as he itched at his nose. Before he could even consider treating Shu's problem of transforming, he first thought he should put it out there just how his condition was. In hopes of keeping the younger boy calmer he'd brought him out to the woods, and even had a small packed lunch for them to share, just the two of them. "He and I kinda talked about a lot of stuff, some of it was kind of weird, and other stuff was uh... Well tough to talk about," he continued, glancing over at Shu as he nudged him in the shoulder, "We talked about you too, buddy."

Viral was still struggling to try and combat his fear of eating, especially when it was complete unnecessary at this point. He had the serum if he ever did show signs of attacking and if things were to go wrong like he would get sick then there was surely some medicine for that too. Maybe he just feared being all weak and brittle, like it could be avoided if the very thing that could make him potentially ill was never given to him. He was going to be weak and brittle without food, but even if he tried to think through that his mind continued to subconsciously go to being paranoid over the food over thinking he might get better. Watching Vegeta eat so effortlessly made him a little mad, but it wasn’t as if he could get around that kind of thought pattern when being able to eat without a second thought was something he couldn’t do quite yet. Sighing as he looked down at the plate again he slowly picked up a piece of steak, holding it in his claws as he frowned. “The galaxy isn’t all it’s cut out to be, though. You are all in so much more danger than you would otherwise be on Earth”. It was his fault essentially for trying to spare them the horrors of further attacks on Earth, but dragged them into it too. The moment he was out of Saiyan control Yumi ended up paying the price as Earth was attacked, his deal with them being broken. So much trouble he had caused. Closing his eyes momentarily he let out a groan, eventually opening his mouth and tossing the piece of meat in. Swallowing the chunk as soon as it hit the back of his throat, coughing aloud afterwards. That felt generally pretty awful and was certainly able to make him feel a little sickly, but he had to keep going for his own sake.

Krom let out a groan, disliking how little regard Takeshi had for others. He was acting like a proper baby about it too, seeing how he was all mopey and grumpy over the very thought of helping his people get through hard times. The Saiyans were not a massive group, there was very few left and they always looked up to a proper leader, even if Yamate’s family was practically elected into royalty because of status. “Are you really scared of a challenge like leadership? Or do you just want people to suffer? There’s children who could use a role model to look up to who is not Yamate, someone who is not a ruthless warrior”. Krom knew he wasn’t that kind of material, especially for children who are being forced to grow up the same way he grew up with. Maybe Takeshi will eventually see the Saiyans needed someone who was different, maybe to encourage a healthier lifestyle. Hearing Takeshi finally make a decision on what he should do for Shu he folded his arms, sighing lightly. “Your tail is not your leg. If you’re determined enough to have a tail again, it will grow back…but, seeing how you don’t really care, you shouldn’t care about that too”, he sighed, looking away to the broken door, “It is your friend’s turn to be trained, seeing how your brother ran off with that doctor…”

----

Viral was feeling pretty terrible for a fairly long time after eating that food, probably due to worry above anything else. He didn’t know what he was supposed to feel after all of that but it was certainly not a pleasant feeling for a very long time. Without anything happening to him and with Vegeta and Aito happy that he had managed to eat he could only hope he wasn’t going to have to put up with anything else that was going to end him through stress. Sitting around in a bit of a mood he looked to Vegeta who reassured him nothing bad had happened, giving a grunt in response. He was certainly a little moody but that was because of how long it took him to get over the stress of eating. Sighing lightly, he slouched before his attention was taken to Vegeta who made a further suggestion, staring at him for a moment before looking off to the side. “Hmm training? You are certainly confident in me, huh…” he sighed, scratching his cheek, “If…you truly are confident in me and not pulling my leg…then fine, I’ll try some training, seeing how I stomached that food you gave me…”

After spending so long in the hospital T’charrl was quite frankly feeling terrible, even if they had done their best to make him feel better. The nurses had done their best to make him comfortable and with him being the last one to be released they were certainly worrying over him quite a lot as time went on. He had taken quite a hit back on the other planet, so much so that he had used a lot of the energy he had gathered during the battle to keep himself alive. That building would’ve killed him otherwise so he was lucky to even be alive. Despite being released he was still feeling pretty terrible and everyone was busy so that didn’t help his mental state. Sitting down near a small garden patch he stared at the flowers, feeling particularly lonely before gasping when he heard someone calling out. Looking up and around he spotted Yumi, staring at her as she gave him a wave. “…Oh, uhh Yumi! Yumi…I-I’m feeling better, yeah”, he spoke, rubbing his claws together briefly before he gave a little smile, “I am feeling sore, yeah. They didn’t really know how to treat me properly because of what I am, so it was hard…”

Shu thought he had done alright with that play therapy Aito set him up with but he didn’t know what he was supposed to do fully quite yet. He was feeling unsure about his current progress in play therapy typically because he got carried away when trying to play out what he did with his brother, but there was a lot that he was hesitant about. Shu was pretty certain he would get better at the play therapy, but he didn’t know what was in store for him either. While Aito had stopped his play therapy for this time on Takeshi’s request he didn’t understand what he was supposed to be doing, wondering whether Takeshi just wanted to train with him or if they were going on some sort of adventure. Feeling a little nervous even if it was Takeshi he stared at the ground as Takeshi spoke, his eyes soon wandering to the trees. “Oooh, umm…training with Krom? He always been strong, though. Only reason he left us alone last time was…umm…a few things…” He knew it was because of him changing and Viral getting taken away that Krom had left them alone, but he didn’t feel comfortable mentioning them. Feeling pretty curious about this whole trip he stared at the trees, squeaking when Takeshi gave him a nudge before he turned to him. “Huh? Tough? Me? I don’t understand what to talk about, though. Is it because of me trying to train…? I tried, I did…really did…”

They had made amazing progress as of late, and from here on out it was only up for Viral. So long as they didn't try too much at once or force anything he should do just fine with the various treatments. His overall demeanor may not have changed much, but that too was bound to budge sooner or later. Things were so much better now in fact that he was confident they could train together again, and not just in the sense of sparring; Viral should be well enough to do some pressing training, even if he didn't feel like it. "Of course I'm confident in you, and you should be able to see why. Your body is healing, you're no longer at risk, and the only thing left now is to help with what's in here," the Saiyan listed off, tapping the side of his head with a fingertip, "Which father and I will do soon enough. But good, I'm glad you're willing to try it." Nothing to lose at this point right? Even in his muddled mind Viral had to acknowledge he was getting better, even if he didn't necessarily want to admit it to himself. That would come in time though, once he was able to appreciate the positives he'd be able to see just how far he had come. "Well then let's get to it, hm? No sense in waiting around any longer than we have to," Vegeta decided as he stood up, nodding his head towards the rear of the house, "We've got plenty of space out there, and we're the only home for some time, so we can let loose and not have to worry."

Everyone had varying trying stays here at the hospital, but none more so than T'charrl. Even Viral with his numerous problems was better off, able to walk around and enjoy the city and the sights, but not T'charrl. Now that she had some free time to herself Yumi hoped to fix that and find something for the two of them to do together. Finding him sitting among a bed of flowers she called out to him with a warm smile, earnestly glad to see he was up and well again. "You're feeling better? Great, I'm glad to hear!" she responded, taking a seat at his side and crossing her legs beneath herself, "That stinks, but you're better all the same. And the soreness will go away eventually if you just take it easy. Either that or we can try finding something for it." What was good for sore muscles? A massage was never a terrible thing, to loosen up taught bits and roll the stress out as it were; without knowing just how T'charrl's body worked though it would be tricky guessing where to apply pressure to. A visit to a spring would be nice as well, except she recalled he didn't really care for water. Smiling thoughtfully she leaned down and plucked a single flower up and offered it to T'charrl, hoping he'd like to have it for himself. "Is there anything you'd like to do now that you're out? I'd be happy to join you." Training was likely out of the question so soon after leaving the hospital, but Yumi would bet T'charrl would be happy to go out for a while. Maybe enjoy the sights the city had to offer, or travel to the nearby forests and enjoy simply being out and about, whatever he wanted really.

"Yeah, I know... A lot of stuff happened then, kind of crazy to think about it even now," Takeshi mumbled, not wanting to get too into detail either. Everyone knew what happened without having to go over it and nobody wanted to make Shu have to relive it all. Besides there was other stuff to get to anyways, stuff still concerning Shu that could just as well end up upsetting him. He had no desire to do this, but if his little brother was ever going to have some peace of mind then it had to be said. "Heh... No, not exactly. We know you tried buddy, but you were going about it all wrong," Takeshi began, smiling apologetically as he rubbed at his neck, "And that's my fault. I... I've been teaching you wrong, you know? I hate to admit it, but Krom was right, I was just trying to power my way through things, you know? But it takes a lot more than that, and because of that I sort of set you up to fail, so... I'm sorry." And that wasn't all he had to share, as if being told everything you had done up until now wasn't bad enough. Stopping in his tracks after a moment he could feel a panic rising in his chest, doing his best to settle it before he even dared to speak; Krom had mentioned something about staying calm too, as his panic would only be Shu's panic in turn. Letting out a sigh he walked over and place an arm around his brother's shoulders, pulling him closer as he offered him a little smile. "And about your transforming, well... You know how you transform, into that big monkey thing? Uh... That's normal, I mean it's normal for you. That's just your Oozaru, and because it's different from other people's doesn't mean it's bad or wrong, understand? The fact you change isn't bad either..."

Viral didn’t know how much further he could take his recovery at this point, whether he would be able to go all the way or if there was going to be a certain point where it would completely stop and he’d be stuck in a constant state of illness like he apparently had been for the last couple decades or so. He didn’t know whether he was going to notice a difference or if everybody else would be the ones to call it out for him. Not really agreeing with what Vegeta believed he frowned, staring down at himself for a moment before sighing and folding his arms. “I just need to be able to eat and sleep properly again and I’m fine. I don’t need much else done for me when the rest isn’t a big deal…” he sighed, not really agreeing that the priority should be everything as soon as possible. He was a little tired of all this medicine and these treatments were where were truly stressing him out. Looking off to the back of the house he frowned slightly, his eyes going back to Vegeta before he decided to head on to the clearer space. “I doubt you’d have to worry about me ‘letting loose’ my strength, anyway, nor will I be firing my attacks so the most damage I can probably do is throw you into something…unless you decide to fire stuff at me, instead…”

T’charrl had been wondering when he was going to get some company again and no sooner had Yumi approached him was he feeling better again. He was still pretty sore and not completely better, but to have someone to talk to made him feel warmer inside. Smiling as she sat beside him he quickly looked back to the flowers, raising his shoulders slightly. “Y-Yeah…I mean, I was given some medicine, so I should be better soon even without help”. He didn’t have his medicine with him, it was all the way back in his room but he had taken some recently and wasn’t in need of any more anytime soon. Feeling a little nervous he gasped when Yumi offered him a flower, taking it with the tips of his claws as he turned to look at her, curious to what she was asking of him. “You want to…hang out with me?” he asked, soon smiling, “Y-Yeah! I mean…I would like to do something, if that’s alright with you. I don’t know where to go here or what to do, I might end up getting in trouble here. I heard there’s a lot of monsters out there who might want to eat someone like me and to go by myself seems a little risky. I remember when we came here I went to a flower field, but I don’t really remember where it is very well. I mean…it’s hard to remember things like that when a building falls on you”.

Shu gave a little nervous giggle before looking away hastily, not sure what he was supposed to say. To talk about Krom and anything relating to him was a little tough and he did know he was supposed to be thinking positive, but it was always hard regarding Krom and anything that he was essentially failing at. Sighing lightly when Takeshi tackled the subject of him doing badly as well he lowered his head, wondering if he had failed Takeshi by making him feel as if he was the one who failed. It wasn’t fair to force that kind of thought onto him, seeing how he was the one who had been jumping around all stupidly. “No! You no did the wrong thing! Not know either! Learning would had been good for me to do so there would be no failing, yes? To learn how to fight good…” Not really knowing what he could say to defend himself he stopped when Takeshi did, staring at him for a moment before looking around as if wondering if this was where they were destined to stop for just now or if Takeshi had spotted something of concern. Not really finding his answer he squeaked when he was brought closer to Takeshi, staring up at him. He didn’t really know how to feel about Takeshi talking about his transforming, considering the fact he was talking about when he got really big. “Umm, I-I haven’t done that in a very long time. Not even look at moon just in case it full…” he spoke, not feeling entirely sure where he was going with this, “My Oozaru isn’t bad or wrong because-…because I fluffy? I don’t understand. Is there full moon coming soon?”

"Well you already managed a meal without much in the way of adverse effects, and sleep will come in time. We don't need medicine for your transformations any longer, nor do we need medicine to help your moods or to encourage an appetite, that's all coming to you naturally now. You've seen yourself just how far you've come, surely by now you acknowledge you're getting better?" The evidence was in plain sight, no longer were the improvements incremental at best; Viral had gone from spending time in healing tanks to being perfectly mobile and even capable of training, that comparison was like night and day in its extreme. Their secluded location here at the house provided an excellent spot to train in as well, with a back yard just large enough to accommodate them. Ushering Viral towards the rear of the house, Vegeta looked back over his shoulder and smiled slightly at the Beastman's retort. "I'm not Takeshi, I don't abuse Ki in a simple training session," he answered with a chuckle, pulling open the screen door and letting Viral out in front, "We'll simply rely on our own physical prowess, that's it. No sense in ruining this by pulling any cheap tricks, now is there?"

It was nice to see T'charrl having recovered, even if he still had a little ways to go until he was fully healthy again. The fact that he wasn't being given help by the sounds of it was a bit irksome, yet he seemed to be getting on just fine even without that. "Well I'm glad, I knew you'd make a fast recovery," Yumi mentioned as she plucked a flower, offering it over to T'charrl with a smile, "And of course I do! We're friends, and we haven't had the chance to in a while." Everyone had been all cooped up in the hospital or elsewhere, so now that people were out and about again she hoped to make rounds and say hello to her friends. "Nothing is going to eat you, I'll see to that," Yumi said confidently as she beamed, giving T'charrl a reassuring thumbs up, "And we can go find you that flower bed! I bet there's plenty of them in the forest, how about we go look for one? There won't be any falling buildings, promise." Chuckling she rose back to her feet, placing one hand behind her back as she offered the other to T'charrl, tilting her head to the side with a smile, "Come on then, we should go while it's still daytime! Let's make good use of your first day out!"

Yeah, he kind of figured bringing up training was going to bother Shu. Takeshi was just trying to avoid the topics he came here to discuss, but in doing so he was making it worse on his brother. Not only did he have to say he was wrong on a lot, but he also had to tell Shu a good bit that he probably wasn't going to want to hear. "No Shu, I taught you wrong, that's all there is to it," the older boy reiterated, smiling slightly as he spoke, "But... I can fix it, you know? I know what we need to do now, so I'll fix it. Then you'll feel better about yourself and you'll get really strong." Stopping in his tracks he let out a sigh and closed his eyes briefly, gathering himself up before placing an arm around Shu's shoulders and pulling him in close. "No... I mean... Jeez what do I mean?" he asked himself, rubbing at the back of his head as he looked skyward for a moment, "Look... When Saiyans change like that, I mean become Oozaru, a lot of them do things they wouldn't normally, understand? It's normal for that to happen, there's nothing wrong with you because of it. And... And I thought it was the opposite, and I made you think there was something wrong, but there isn't. And to make things even worse I don't know what I can do to help it..." He'd never really struggled with transformations himself, having knowledge enough to avoid any full moons growing up. Shu didn't have that luxury though, and it wasn't like they could just remove his tail and leave it at that. "Like I said though buddy, I'll figure out how to help, somehow. We'll make it so you don't gotta worry about it, okay?" Takeshi added, smiling as he released Shu only to place a hand on his head, giving his hair a light ruffle, "All I ask is you keep trusting me, and I swear I'll do better."

Viral let out a grumble, not looking entirely sure as to what the answer could be to that. “Only you can tell me if I’ve gotten better, you know. I wouldn’t know when all I’ve been experiencing lately is this illness and being unable to conquer it”. He really didn’t know what it was like to feel better and definitely didn’t know if he was going to be fully aware of his good health. It was difficult to imagine what it was like nevermind whether he was going to be feeling good compared to how he usually felt when he thought he felt good. Following along with Vegeta he shrugged, shaking his head. “You Saiyans are still all alike, even if your genes are watered down”, he spoke, not feeling too convinced, “You’re not really all that different sometimes”. Heading outside he looked to Vegeta, making sure to keep away from the house. “Well, no doubt this will go the usual way…which is badly. I may had been on near equal grounds with you on Earth, but this might be a bit boring for you now”.

T’charrl was pretty sure he was well enough to be travelling, but he didn’t trust being by himself. He was a little nervous about leaving the compound by himself just in case something happened to him like he was attacked or disabled badly. His wings were still growing back and still practicing flying with Ki he wasn’t sure if he would be able to react quick enough to get out of danger. Staring at Yumi he smiled back, feeling rather happy that she was calling him a friend even though it should be pretty obvious. “Oh, you’re so kind to me”, he spoke, holding the flower close, “I thought for sure I wasn’t going to see anybody today. Everyone’s so busy with everything else lately so it has been a little difficult to keep track of everything. I’ve had nothing to do other than sit out here”. Smiling as he took hold of her hand he slowly stood up, looking a little wobbly at first before managing to hold his ground. “I’m not afraid of falling buildings, I mean…I’ve never had a building fall on me apart from that one time. I’m quite happy with not having a problem with falling buildings”. Slowly he started hovering in the air, looking a little uneasy at first before giving a smile. “I’ve still got it, it seems. I’ve been needing to use my energy for getting better”.

Shu wasn’t sure what he was supposed to think and was genuinely confused, his eyes showing little sign of understanding Takeshi. He didn’t know what he was supposed to understand from that or if there really was a full moon coming on this planet, but either way he was a little worried that something was wrong. Staring at him he slowly tilted his head, watching him curiously before looking down, feeling confused. “Umm…you really sure it wrong? But…I guess if you think it wrong, then maybe it wrong…?” Not really understanding him or feeling sure as to what he should believe in he pressed his fingers together, feeling a little worried that he had done something bad. As Takeshi started to explain the Oozaru quality of him he looked back up, staring at him for a moment before looking back at his tail. So he didn’t really have any means to control himself from the sounds of that, worried that he was making Takeshi all stressed because he was expecting him to fix it all for him. Raising his shoulders when Takeshi ruffled his hair he looked up after, staring at him with a frown. “How long will it take to figure out? It been forever and it’s getting worse”, he spoke, looking back down to the ground, “I don’t want to hurt you or my friends, but it not even when I get angry, but when I get scared too. I don’t want to be scared, I don’t know what to do anymore…”

"But the severity of your illness has lessened, you must be able to tell that much surely? Just think of where you were two weeks ago and compare it to now, isn't there a drastic change?" Vegeta pushed further, "In contrast to then you're comparatively in perfect health, it's that much of an improvement. And yes, we still have a ways to go, but we're getting there quickly, don't you see?" Again there must be some level in which the Beastman acknowledged his health, even if he wasn't outright showing it. Just the fact he was out and about was a marked changed from earlier, never mind the monumental changes of no longer transforming suddenly, or no longer losing muscle mass; now that he was eating again and doing so without trouble, Viral's body would begin to replenish lost mass and his mood may even improve for it. "Maybe we are, perhaps I can't escape what I am genetically," Vegeta mused with a shrug, stopping in the middle of the yard before turning around, "Or perhaps I'll throw convention in the trash and do things my way, not the Saiyan way. And I sincerely doubt this will bore me, but then there's only one way to find out, isn't there?" Smiling slightly he assumed a battle ready stance again, raising his arms up as he bent his knees and spread his legs apart for balance, tilting his head to signal for Viral to start.

Yumi was positive T'charrl would be glad to leave, not having had a chance to be out since they had arrived. Even better too they could go into the forests for a while and enjoy the outdoors, something which she was sure he sorely missed from home. "I try to be kind to all my friends, and that includes you," she answered playfully, smiling as she took T'charrl's claw and helped him to his feet. "Everyone is a bit busy, but they'll make time to come by. I'm sure the others are all eager to see how you're doing too." Easing herself up into the air she glanced at the open sky above, eager to be able to fly around leisurely again. There hadn't really been a time since Earth that she'd gotten to fly for fun, and she sorely missed doing so whenever she had the chance. Laughing at his comment on buildings she grinned then as he rose into the air, thrilled he too could use Ki to fly. "Good, though you have your wings too if you need them! Now let's go find somewhere fun to relax!" Spinning herself around she crouched slightly in mid-air before bolting up into the sky, smiling widely as she rose high above the buildings. "Woooohooo, I missed this!" Yumi shouted, twirling once with her arms extended at her sides, glancing down at T'charrl as he rose to meet her, "Which way do we go from here?"

"Uh... I mean it's good to be strong, but just being strong isn't all you need, you know?" Takeshi asked rhetorically as he still struggled to find the right words, "And I can be wrong buddy, I am a lot. Not a bad idea to ask our friends about stuff too, they might have better answers than I do on some stuff." There he went again trying to put the responsibility on someone else other than himself, immediately doubling back when he realized as much. "Though... I can ask them too and teach you that way, if you wanna just hear it from me." With how many questions Shu had about things back on Earth he could only imagine what he might be stuck explaining out here; with so many alien worlds and new experiences he was expecting them to get back to their routine of non-stop questions awfully soon. Ruffling Shu's hair to try and show him things were okay, the older boy smiled slightly when he began asking about getting better. "Huh... Angry and scared? I mean... It sounds kind of like your power's really tied to emotions, you know? And when your power gets to be too much you turn all monkey on us. So... Maybe we should try figuring that out? How to help you stay calm, that is." Or at least separate his emotions from his power, if that was possible. Though... Krom was sort of teaching him the same thing, wasn't he? Huh, maybe there was something there for him to use. "Shu? I wanna try something with you real quick, we're gonna have a fake fight. You okay with that?"

“I don’t constantly feel terrible, you know. I feel normal a lot of the time, or at least what feels like normal…” Viral spoke, eventually grumbling, “It’s very hard telling when you’re not well after so long, you know. I can’t tell whether I am okay just from feeling okay. To ‘look’ okay is probably more encouraging than trying to feel it out and discovering you’re doing pretty badly despite feeling like everything’s going fine”. It was difficult telling whether he was okay or not when he was not willing to see what he looked like, his problem being he didn’t want to see and then be shocked at how much he had changed. It was probably by a terrible amount, especially considering the clothes size he often wore had become loose. He was already pretty lean beforehand, but he must’ve dropped by a lot of weight if his clothes were practically falling off him. “I doubt you will. You’re still as competitive as ever”. Watching as Vegeta got himself ready he sighed, eventually moving his feet before simply going straight for Vegeta with fists swinging, looking like he was truly trying to do a lot of harm to Vegeta if he got in the way of his punches.

T’charrl did wonder where everyone was but with Yumi here he probably shouldn’t care. He knew the ones who were alright had been training or something, but even then he wouldn’t had minded where and if he was able to watch during this time. The others probably didn’t know he was out, but that shouldn’t be a concern for them either considering it was just him and nobody really special. When Yumi decided to encourage him not to give up hope that they would want to see him he gave a smile, looking down. “I’m not sure about that. There’s lots more to worry about other than me when I’m not going anywhere”. While he wasn’t completely confident with flying he was still going to try, seeing how it was the only way he would be able to get around. Watching Yumi get all excited about flying he smiled nervously, wondering if she wasn’t going to end up flying away all crazily while he tried to keep up. “I don’t know which way to go. My wings are pretty ruined so I can’t use them if using energy became too difficult. I remember going the way the morning came…I think. I’m not sure what way to go”.

Shu wasn’t understanding what was going on or if he was wrong for being how he was. He didn’t know what he was supposed to feel on the matter and didn’t know if he was supposed to be happy that Takeshi was offering to help him some more. It didn’t really help when Takeshi said he was going to help him but hadn’t yet, now he was saying it again as if he forgot he told him in the first place. He didn’t want to keep pressing Takeshi with the matter, especially when he was the one offering help all the time. Feeling a little nervous and worried he looked up at Takeshi after his hair was ruffled, staring at him before looking away. “Is it even a power or is it something that’s wrong with me? What if it’s a bad thing that’s happening because of Saiyan? I’m confused…” He usually thought of power as something that was grand and under your control, but this was completely out of his control and he was just as bad for it as a monster was. Frowning, Shu stared at Takeshi as he was offered something else. “Huh? Fake fight? Umm, okay…umm, what do in fake fight? Why?”

"Ah... You know you don't feel terrible all the time, yet you don't know if you've gotten better or not?" Vegeta repeated slyly, a small smile passing his lips, "If you don't awful constantly then that implies your health has improved, right? As in, you don't need someone telling you how you're doing? And looking healthy is fine and all, but we're more concerned with you actually feeling healthy. Looks do you relatively little good in the long run." He was having a little fun with Viral, just trying to be more lighthearted and show him there wasn't reason to be so concerned; with how well the Beastman was doing recently there was little cause for worry, and he was only going to get better from here on. Shrugging as Viral called him competitive, the Saiyan simply got into a prepared stance and waited for Viral to make the first move, letting him think whatever he wanted going into this. Curiously enough he went straight for a frontal attack, swinging his fists with plenty of purpose as they smashed into his arms, nearly breaking through once or twice. Hm, how to counter this? Dodge a big attack, use the momentum to put Viral off balance and send him flying, that seemed easiest. "Awfully reminiscent of Takeshi's combat style, charging straight in," he commented, smirking as he had to use both hands to block an incoming punch, "Paying homage to your friends, are we?"

Yumi was just as excited as T'charrl to be out and about, not having had much of a chance to explore as of late. Uuonoe seemed like a nice world and she was eager to see more of it, and now she had someone to come along with her and keep her company. They would need to be mindful of course, seeing T'charrl had only just gotten out of the hospital, but she'd not crawl along for his sake either. "So? You're not a show T'charrl, or some exhibit, people don't need a reason to stop by to see you," Yumi retorted as she rose up, smiling as she waved her friend to follow, "They'll come just because they want to see you, it's as simple as that." Shooting off briefly as she climbed higher and higher, Yumi quickly stopped herself as not to press T'charrl, waiting for him to join her before shrugging in response to his comment. "Neither do I, that's half the fun of exploring though. So let's just go..." she began, turning around and tapping her chin briefly, then pointing off in a northerly direction, "There! Come on!" Yumi took off again, albeit at a slower speed this time, looking down at the city and smiling as she saw its residents still busy at work, trying to finish their homes.

"No, it's uh... Well Krom said that the stuff they were doing to you, it was to try and help you. I know it seems crazy, but it kinda makes sense if you think about it. And, uh... The best way I can say it I guess is that it's normal for you to lose a little control when you change, that happens to a lot of Saiyans before they master it, you know? What's not so normal is changing so quickly, but we can fix that if we work at it. So... The stuff that happens when you change happens to all Saiyans at some point, but how you change doesn't really, get it?" So if they could just work on how he changed, or just keep him from changing in the first place, then he'd be in much better standing. That only left the small matter of figuring out how to exactly go about that, something which Takeshi couldn't even begin to guess at. If he changed when he got scared or angry in a fight, then maybe teaching him how to not let that happen would do it? "You know... If you changing is the problem, then we gotta work on stopping that, right? You get scared, your power grows and you change, that's what's going on right now. If we can figure out how to keep your power from going up though then no more problem. Just need to learn how to stay a little calm during a battle, that's all. Think you're willing to try that? After we can go ahead and have our food."

Viral didn’t know what Vegeta was trying to say regarding his condition, his facial expression making him feel a little edgy as he spoke. He didn’t like it when he wasn’t getting clear answers or looked at like he was an idiot for feeling that way. “More like I didn’t know I was ill until I was constantly being told I was! To live normally and then suddenly you’re deemed damaged? But what would you know, it’s not like you’ve ever felt like this before”. While Viral was annoyed at Vegeta he was going to give him a chance and see if he could do the training without actually being a jerk about it, like maybe he knew he wasn’t feeling better. He would see whether he was going to be okay in this training first, going straight into it without hesitation. Swinging his fists he moved fairly quick but was still being caught by Vegeta, his fists merely slamming into Vegeta’s arms before he was straight up insulted. “What?? Don’t you dare compare me to him!” he snapped, swinging his leg around with a speedy kick before trying to throw his fist down at Vegeta, “Would you rather I used my claws instead??”

T’charrl really was happy to have some company after so long, seeing how little people visited him in the hospital. He understood they were busy and all that, but he still got lonely and was scared that they had been scared off by what he was again. He didn’t like being alienated so much, even if he was an alien to them. “To see me? Oh, but why would people come to see me if they have nothing to say to me? That sounds strange to me”. While he didn’t really know many social cues he had his friends to help him through that luckily, telling him often how wrong he was for thinking such things. Maybe they would eventually hang out with him again, even if they didn’t really do that much before. Smiling at Yumi as she gave the order to follow he flew on behind her, looking down at the city as well. He didn’t really look last time, probably because he was not going this slow last time. “This is a nice place, even if a little beat up. I feel very heavy on this planet, though”.

Shu stared at Takeshi, feeling rather worried about himself. He didn’t like how he was sounding, like everything the Saiyans had been doing to him was necessary. Raising his shoulders as Takeshi continued to talk about it he soon frowned, lowering his head as he rubbed his hands together. “Doesn’t really…? Umm, not normal…?” he muttered, staring down at the ground. It made him sound like he really was a freak. If Takeshi didn’t know how to fix it then he wouldn’t be able to be considered safe to be around at all and so far Takeshi hadn’t been successful. Slowly raising his hands and rubbing his head he looked up to Takeshi, frowning at his explanation. “Uhh! I can try…I can try…” he spoke, sounding incredibly unsure about the possibilities of that, “Ohhhh no. I’m not calm! I’m not calm, though…ooohhh, what if bad thing happen and we never get food? Not so normal and it hard to think…”

"Hm... I suppose not, I've never been in the state you were. But then I've had my fair share of troubles and I know how much it sucks to have someone telling you that you're not right," Vegeta answered with a grim smile, "Believe me, I've felt plenty of pain before, from multiple sources, pain that would put you in a frenzy, anyone really. But that's neither here nor there now is it?" They were here to train, not to see who had the harder life. Viral had been up for training and they would do just that, not waste time bickering and trying to outdo one another with their strife. Blocking the incoming strikes, the Saiyan threw in a taunt for good measure to test Viral's temperament, not all too surprised when he became angry. Throwing both arms up he blocked the kick and braced himself for it as well, barely moving from the strike. The punch however he took head on, nearly being knocked over as he leaned to the left before chuckling. "No, I'd rather you show me how strong you are, that you're still an able warrior," Vegeta answered, and on that he took one swift step forward and threw an open palm out at Viral's chest, trying to knock him back and wind him. "Don't leave yourself open."

It was sad that people needed a reason to see T'charrl, or that he thought they did. Friends didn't always need a particular reason to visit one another, they just did it. "Who said they need a reason? Just being with someone you care about is reason enough," Yumi answered with a kind smile, "You'll see, the best of friends can sit in silence and be perfectly happy, sometimes you don't even have to talk at all." Though considering who their friends were she sincerely doubted there would ever be a moment of silence; Shu was usually too energetic to be silent, Takeshi was busy picking fights with his own shadow, and the others all had their own quirks that would keep them talking. Not that she was any better, she constantly tried keeping up conversation in favor of silence herself. "It is, and they're fixing it, so it's going to look wonderful again," Yumi mused thoughtfully, keen on seeing Uuonoe in its glory soon. Glancing back at T'charrl as they flew she tilted her head slightly, wondering why he might be feeling heavy. "Well... The gravity here is probably different than your home, and you're recovering. Maybe those are making it harder on you?" she asked, looking ahead before smiling, "I'll go slow though so you're not straining, okay?"

There was nothing more annoying then knowing what you had to say and not knowing how to say it. He and Krom had a discussion about this not two days earlier, and now he was completely ruining the entire thing. As he tried to convey what had been discussed he could see Shu becoming more and more uncomfortable, his efforts clearly back firing on him. "If I had my tail Shu then I'd probably have the same problem you do, it's something that happens to Saiyans like us," Takeshi added quickly, hoping to clarify things a little. "You know... Saiyans from Earth. We get a lot of power from emotions, more than a normal Saiyan does, and when a Saiyan's power goes up quickly they might change, if they don't know how to stop it. So... It's normal that you change into what you do, and it's normal for you to change just in general, but... We gotta work on what makes you change, understand?" He hoped Shu did because that was the best explanation he could come up with, and if that fell through then the little guy was on his own with it. Letting out a sigh at Shu's reluctance to fight, and his own idiocy for even suggesting it, the older boy raised a hand to stop him before smiling apologetically. "Actually fighting would be stupid, there's nothing we can get from that we can't get other ways. How about we go ahead and just chow down for now, huh?" Taking a seat right in the grass he pat the spot beside him, smiling up at Shu as he held up the container of fruits and other foods.

Viral didn’t know anything about his health unless he was aware of it, his general mentality being so long as he could move around he was fine most of the time. He didn’t know he was ever ill until he was told and this had been his life now. “I have been speared! What would you know about pain like that?” Vegeta sometimes annoyed him when he turned everything like that into a competition, even if he was trying to brush it off as nothing. It was rather annoying to say the least that Vegeta would even think he hadn’t felt incredible pain before. Throwing his leg around in a kick he threw his fist at Vegeta close to the same time, having the strike hit but not really do much to Vegeta even after that. Taking only a split second’s stop he was caught slightly off-guard by Vegeta’s insinuation, as if this was a test to see if he was a capable fighter anymore. His slight moment caused him to get caught by Vegeta as he was pushed by a sudden slap in the chest, causing him to stumble as he held onto his chest. Now he was getting angry, feeling mocked by Vegeta more than anything. “…I am not leaving myself open! I know what I’m doing!” Immediately going back in he started throwing fairly violent punches, trying to swing in from both sides with his back arched to keep his momentum forward. “You’re just jerking me around!”

T’charrl experienced a lot of the same when he was on the ship so it was probably nothing new to him, but he did wonder sometimes what kind of company he was supposed to have normally when he had friends. He had been contemplating that thought for some time and with Takeshi always getting scared of him and his appearance changing so often it was no wonder people didn’t want to go near him in case something further happened to him while they were with him. He was a little bit of a freak when it came down to it, but that kind of thought wasn’t lost on him either considering he had thought it for a long time as he was growing up. “Oh uhh, just sit with me and be happy? That sounds highly unusual. I thought they would just leave”. He didn’t really want to question whether the others thought of him as a friend in that sense, but at least Shu and Yumi seemed perfectly happy to try and find him to be with him for a little bit. While it did make him feel a little concerned he tried to shake that thought off so that he might be happy. “Oh, I see. It must had been bad for it to end up like this. Too much stone for me to be of any help, though”, he sighed, staring at it for a moment before looking up to Yumi again. “Oh! I’m sorry if I’m slowing you down. Maybe it’s also because I am not used to flying without my wings, just…using my energy like this…”

Shu didn’t know what he was supposed to feel of if he was really not normal, but what was worse was everything made sense when he thought about it. He hadn’t seen any other Saiyan change like he did and he was taken in for experimentation by the Saiyans like he was some sort of freak. Letting out a light groan he lowered his head, not really finding what Takeshi was saying to be helping him all that much. “Umm…so…me not being very good with emotions means I am not very good to be around? But…I don’t know how to change that to help understand how to stop it”, he spoke, lowering his head again, “I thought it would be getting better after we stop here, but not better at all if not sure how to work on not changing…” Feeling rather insecure about his own power he looked to Takeshi again at the suggestion of food, frowning a little before watching him sit down. He was hungry, but he was also feeling a little depressed with his hunger being countered by it. Even his body didn’t know what to do, nevermind his mentality. Slowly sitting down with Takeshi he took the container, staring at it for a moment before raising his shoulders. “Do you…know where to start with getting better…? I don’t know what I should do…”

"There are different kinds of pain, not everything is always physical. But nevermind, it's silly for us to argue like this," Vegeta said dismissively, trying to drop the subject. They really were siblings, weren't they? No one else did he find himself having these sort of petty arguments, only with Viral. Either that or something between them always brought out some odd competition, with him trying to meet Viral and the Beastman always claiming to be above it. It wasn't as though he was saying Viral had never felt pain before either, he'd witnessed plenty of it firsthand and knew just what he'd been through. Taking a hit to the head he used it to counter and slammed an open palm into the Beastman's chest, watching as he stumbled back. "You do, do you? That's good to hear," the Saiyan answered with a smirk, throwing up his guard as he was set upon once more. Each fist slammed into his forearm or shoulder and hit awfully hard, no doubt he was going to be sore after this. The blows were quick too, he was having to be as swift as possible to block them. "So you know that and yet I'm getting to you?" Vegeta asked, ducking under a punch and trying to sweep a leg around to knock Viral down, "Stop letting me jerk you around if you know I'm doing it."

To Yumi it almost seemed like T'charrl didn't know how to be with friends, like he'd never done it before. Hadn't he said once he'd never really had friends before them? If that was the case then it was a lonely reality, yet it was one they could hopefully change now. "Well yeah, it's not what you do that makes people want to hang around you always, it's who you are... If that makes sense. If people like you then they'll spend time with you, that's just how it is." Which seemed a bit contradictory, seeing as the others hadn't gotten around to T'charrl just yet. She understood though, as she hoped he did, that they had their own business too, and may not necessarily be as free as she was for time. "Oh don't worry about it, we're helping just by being here I think. People seem happy that we're back on Uuonoe," Yumi answered back, smiling as she looked to T'charrl again, "And don't apologize either, you're not moving too slow at all. Besides, we're here already." They were at the edge of the forests anyways, and with that they could set down and figure out what they were doing with themselves. Descending from her spot, Yumi set down and waited for T'charrl to do the same, itching at one of her ears with a smile. "This seems nice, don't you think? We can just walk around here for as long as we want."

"No, you're fine to be around, you are. It's just in fights when things get a little risky," Takeshi responded, growing rather uncertain by the second. Leaving it up to him to help Shu really wasn't the best idea, he didn't know what to say to make things better for his brother. Feeling a bit dejected seeing his sibling become upset, the older boy debated on just leaving and finding Krom, albeit terribly reluctant to involve anyone here, let alone the Elite. Maybe they should just eat now, worry about the problem after a good meal. Taking a seat in the grass he motioned for Shu to do the same, opening up the container to begin dividing out their meals. "Well... The best thing I can think of is to... Learn how to stay calm. Or at least don't get too emotional in a fight, you know? Krom is trying to teach me the same thing, so maybe we should try that for you," he offered hopefully, a small smile crossing his lips as he offered a small purple fruit to Shu, "Yeah, that should work. It's okay to get emotional when stuff happens, you know? But we gotta make it so things don't get outta hand, and that should be easy. How about we just enjoy this meal, and I'll think about it while we eat, okay?" No sense in ruining the little guys appetite because he wasn't doing as good a job as he ought to be.

“Hmph what, like killing your parents? Because you can’t possibly mean anything else…” Viral was not happy with Vegeta talking so much when there was so much else he could be saying like maybe some proper encouragement, but of course he wasn’t going to be getting any of that while trying to show he was still good enough to fight. Vegeta probably wouldn’t know how he was feeling right now anyway, but it probably didn’t matter anyway considering he seemed happier to try and beat him up and tell him how terrible he was at fighting now. Getting rather irritated by how he was being spoken to he growled as he threw his fist, only to miss Vegeta and end up having his feet pulled right off the ground, landing on his arm. Growling angrily he looked up at Vegeta, getting rather annoyed with him. “What? You’re the one who keeps talking while I’m trying to hit you!” Getting rather angry at this point he immediately spun himself around, trying to kick out at Vegeta as he jumped back to his feet before throwing his fists at him in rapid succession.

T’charrl wondered if he was going to be able to figure out the whole friendship thing soon, but he was thankful he was going to be able to hang out with Yumi and practice some more when he hadn’t really had all that much practice previously. She certainly did tell him the truth a lot and didn’t appear to be scared of him so that was a good start. Smiling at her as she spoke he rubbed his claws together as he flew along, still feeling a little anxious. “They will? I wonder how much they like me then if they only hang out with me sometimes”, he spoke before sighing, “I mean, I’m not sure what I do wrong, otherwise. If they don’t like hanging out with me, then it’s usually because of me. I don’t think they wouldn’t want to be with me if it was something they were at fault with”. Once they finally arrived he looked to Yumi quickly before following her down, sighing as he gradually touched down on the ground too. He had to be gentle with his movements so that he didn’t hurt himself, or at least he had been advised to. “That would be nice, I mean…I haven’t just walked around in a while. Do you know where the flowers might be from here? I can’t smell them very well with my antennae being sore”.

Shu didn’t know how he was going to manage if he could barely stay calm, knowing he was supposed to have some sort of way to do so but he hadn’t had time to learn it. Nobody would tell him how to other than breathing or something, but he couldn’t exactly do that in the middle of battle. There had to be something that could help him, but he was too scared all the time of hurting someone or suddenly having a spike of fear and immediately changing before he even realised what happened. It was probably those surprise attacks that scared him the most, his fear of having no control over himself getting in the way of his fighting abilities. Sighing lightly he looked to the fruit Takeshi was giving him, taking it from him before staring at it as Takeshi spoke. “But…it’s not very easy to. I don’t know how to be calm, but even if I learn I don’t know if I will still change”. Feeling a little saddened by the progress he had been making he pulled his container close and started to eat, staring at the food as he munched. While it was tasty food, he still couldn’t figure out a good way around his emotions which was really distracting him from appreciating the tastes. It was difficult to understand what he might have to do other than become completely emotionless and he knew he couldn’t be something like that. He just wish he knew what the solution was, but instead he was greeted to a rather confusing state that he didn’t even know what he was nevermind how to fix it.

It seemed like he shouldn't bother testing Viral just now, as the Beastman was missing the point entirely. The taunting and the rhetoric was all to see how well he could keep a level head in the heat of battle, something which he appeared to be failing to do right now. If he couldn't separate noise from the fight and keep his cool then they had some work to do yet. Ducking beneath a fist Vegeta kicked out and managed to take Viral off his feet, watching as the Beastman didn't quite fall to the ground and instead caught himself. "Drown me out or shut me up, I'm trying to make this harder on you," the Saiyan shot back, having to jump back to avoid being kicked. In a fraction of a second Viral was on him again, a fist narrowly missing his head as it flew by, his cheek being nicked by the rough skin of his paws in the process. Leaning back to avoid a second punch he threw his own fist forward to block another, grunting and using his forearm to intercept yet another. "You've got a lot of strength again, blocking you hurts like hell," Vegeta laughed, pushing off of the arm he'd blocked and falling to the side to avoid another strike. Catching himself on one hand he leaned over and brought his legs up, spinning and trying to kick Viral not once but twice, checking to see his reaction time.

"You don't do anything, that's not it. Friends don't have to spend every waking moment with each other after all," Yumi said as she turned back to speak to T'charrl, "Really good friends can go days even without talking, and when they see each other they're still on good terms. So just because you haven't seen some of them in a while doesn't mean they're any less your friend." Sometimes distance even made seeing the person again all the better, she certainly knew that to be true with Shu. It did help to want to see the friend in the first place too, and even with Takeshi's phobia she couldn't think of a single person genuinely uninterested in seeing T'charrl. Well he'd just have to see for himself, Yumi was certain she'd just found someone who could prove her point. Descending from the sky she eased herself down and waited for T'charrl to as well, smiling as he set down on his feet. "Hm, flowers? Let me take a look," she answered, lifting her head and closing her eyes as she sniffed the air. She could smell some flowers to be sure, but also Shu's scent, something she'd become familiar with just the other day especially. "Hm... Yep, found some. Follow me!" With her back to her friend she started in the direction of Shu and Takeshi, a sly smile spread across her face. They would be so excited to see their friend, she just knew it.

"I know it's not easy buddy, I know, but... We'll figure it out, okay? I'll think of something," Takeshi said as he handed over the food, moving closer to his brother. Smiling sympathetically he started to pick at his own meal, both of them getting a small box of fruits and assorted meats to fill them up. Not the largest of meals, but then they had something planned later in the evening anyways so no sense in filling up now. As the brothers ate they were graced with an unusual silence, one which any other time the older boy might have enjoyed. However with good food to eat and being in a nice place Shu ought to be chatting incessantly, not sitting there all mopey and quiet. "Hey... Know what might be fun after this? If you teach me how to swing from trees again," Takeshi began, smirking as he leaned over and bumped into Shu playfully, "I know we tried before and it didn't really work, but I'm willing to give it another go. Think you're up for showing me how to do it buddy?"

Viral was not having a good time trying to stave off the negativity from Vegeta, even if he was putting it on. He didn’t have the mental capacity to ignore it while he was trying to show he was still capable of fighting. He was trying hard to show he was capable when this was essentially his first test after showing he was going to be able to recover from this illness of his. While he had been struck down by the kick he wasn’t going to see it as a failure, instead picking himself up and immediately going after Vegeta again, throwing his legs around as he got up before dashing at Vegeta to try and beat him. Throwing his fists at Vegeta furiously he didn’t really get anywhere, taking a moment to listen to Vegeta before giving him an angry glare and throwing another strike at him. “Oh good! At least I have that going for me!” As he was trying to hit Vegeta, rather than successfully landing another punch as the inevitable block he found that Vegeta had instead dropped down and was immediately kicking out at him. While he did make an attempt to move he found himself falling anyway, landing on his side but wasted no time pushing himself off the ground again and immediately dashing at Vegeta while he was down, trying to make an attempt to pin him.

Staring at Yumi, T’charrl felt a little unsure to how he should feel about her explanation of friendship, finding it all so confusing still but understanding it little by little. He knew they didn’t have to spend time always together too. “Uhh, well I know…but I did scare Takeshi pretty badly and he’s not really talked to me properly since. I didn’t mean anything bad, just that’s how it ended up and now I’m worried that I did something wrong somehow. That’s all”. He wasn’t entirely sure about any of it but he was pretty sure scaring someone that badly meant they probably didn’t want to be around you anymore. He had been a little lonely lately if not for Haku but even then he wasn’t entirely sure about his location or whether he still wanted to hang out with him too. Sighing lightly, he looked to Yumi to see if she could find what he wanted, his antennae barely able to twitch so that he may do the same thing too. Smiling when she seemed to find some he followed on after her, looking back briefly. “That’s great! I am a little hungry”.

Shu didn’t know what he was supposed to do with himself seeing how many problems he now had and was presenting to his friends. He was dangerous to them and even though he didn’t change when there was no fighting he was still afraid that the day may come where he would and would end up hurting his friends accidentally. He didn’t know if he had to be careful because of that and try and limit contact with everyone or if he just had to pretend everything was normal. He was so confused and scared, worried that he was going to end up becoming an animal permanently one day just like that evil clan when he was growing up. Gasping as his eating time was interrupted by Takeshi’s nudge he looked up to the trees, staring at them before lowering his gaze and raising his shoulders. “Ooh, I don’t know. I mean…need be more like normal people and normal people don’t swing in trees”, he muttered, rubbing his feet together, “At least not what been seen. Shu never did see anybody swing from trees, so maybe it not like normal to do that”.

"Hey, take pride in that! You said you felt physically weak," Vegeta continued on, smirking as he ducked under another strike, "Yet you're bruising me with each blow! That's an enormous improvement, wouldn't you say?" It was further proof that Viral's condition, at least his physical condition, had grown better astronomically. Now all that remained seemed to be the more psychological aspects, something which he wasn't quite as keen to tackle. But with the Beastman's problems becoming lesser by the day now was not the time to back off, they had to persist and finish his treatment. After dropping down to avoid a high punch he swung out both legs and tried kicking Viral away, missing but making his friend fall in the process. Before he could collect himself and get back up however he was set upon, being tackled down and pinned beneath Viral's paws. Well this was a predicament, and while he could break free he was more interested to see how the Beastman might react to this situation. Even so, he had to have a little fun with it. "Viral... This is so sudden," Vegeta joked as he looked away, feigning embarrassment, "What will father say?" Surprise surprise, he had a sense of humor, if somewhat perverse.

"I imagine father would be taking photos right about now." Well this must be terribly awkward for Vegeta now. Sitting up in a tree with a mug of coffee in hand was Aito, crouched down on one of the limbs. Sipping at his drink casually he tilted his head seeing his son's face turn red, dropping down and sliding his free hand into his pocket. "Sorry to interrupt whatever this is, but I'm not overly keen on my sons eloping," he joked, turning Vegeta into a stammering mess trying to defend his choice of words. Smirking behind the brim of his mug the doctor took another sip, standing over the boys and arching an eyebrow curiously. "I come over to check and find you two like this, I can only hope you were doing some kind of training prior to... Whatever this is," Aito continued, glancing then at Viral, "You seem to be feeling better, I'm glad. If I wasn't here on business then I'd ask for a turn, but I really can't be wasting time playing right now. How're you feeling, by the way? I mean emotionally right now, just off the top of your head?" It was a sudden question and he knew it, but he was curious to see what Viral might say, and more importantly how he'd even respond to such a question.

Yumi supposed it might be difficult making friends if you'd never had them before, and doubly so keeping them. While they all assumed he was fine by acting friendly with him he might not get that was what friends did. The time they spent together, hanging out and training and exploring the galaxy, those were all normal things for friends to do; exploring the galaxy might not be classified as normal, but it counted for them. "Oh he'll be fine, you know how he is. Chances are he feels bad and he's too embarrassed to face up to it, so he's avoiding that, not you," Yumi said in amusement, "In fact, I bet he'd be happy to hang out with you now that you're out of the hospital. Shu too." They would find out anyways, if she was picking up the right scents that is. He was hungry too? Even better, she was certain she smelled some food, albeit that could be just here in the woods too. Keeping silent on the subject she hummed to herself, eager to surprise T'charrl with this. As they closed in she became more certain that it was indeed their friends, and she'd wager they hadn't noticed anyone approaching just yet. "I think I found some fruit for you to snack on, but that's not all..." Yumi said quietly, glancing back and winking before pointing ahead, spotting the brothers ahead, "Shall we surprise them?"

So clearly Shu's problems were going to take more thought than he'd given it, which was to say very little. After having had his conversation with Krom, Takeshi had decided to come out and talk with Shu with no particular course of action in mind. A silly thing to do? Clearly now it was as he was left without anything to say, leaving Shu upset and himself at a loss. Maybe he could just focus on cheering his sibling up for the time being and look more into helping his problems later. But what might make Shu happy? Playing usually did, but what if they did something he really enjoyed? "Says who? I don't even know what normal people are," Takeshi responded, smirking as he bit off a chunk of meat, "Shu, you gotta realize that 'normal' is different for everyone. For Saiyans it's normal to fight for everything, for Uuonians it's normal to build stuff, and it's probably normal for Leto's people to all be idiots. My point is there's no one who can tell you to be normal, because there is no normal, you know? It's people trying to make you act like them, that's all. And guess what squirt? The way you act is fine, but if you wanna learn to do some other stuff then that's cool too." If the little guy for instance wanted to do stuff like read or write then he could, but not reading or writing was fine too, it was whatever he wanted to do. Takeshi had never really wasted much time on education and for him that was normal, and he was fine with it.

"Wow... That was surprisingly inspired coming from you!" Yumi interjected suddenly, smirking as Takeshi abruptly jumped to his feet, fists raised. Heh, he'd been so busy going on and on that he hadn't noticed her sneak up and crouch beside him, and now he looked awfully silly preparing to fight her. "Look at you all up and at 'em! With that reaction time you could give a dead cat a run for its money!" Grinning when he became embarrassed and sat back down she took a seat as well, glancing over her shoulder to where T'charrl was waiting, waving him in. Hopefully they weren't going to mind his being here too much, she knew they had tried coming out here for some privacy, and yet here she and T'charrl were crashing the party. "Look who I brought with me!"

Viral didn’t see anything to be proud about when it came to something like that, just because he was managing to hurt him while not actually getting through the blocks. He wasn’t exactly improving if he was unable to get through any punches like he might’ve been able to do before. “Now maybe if I can punch your face, I’d feel a lot better!” Despite all his efforts he soon found himself on the ground, but he wasn’t going to give up then when he was instead placed at an advantage point. Growling, he made a mad lunge at Vegeta, managing to pin him in the process. Staring down at him with an angry glare, hearing the awful comment he made before he immediately raised his claws, looking ready to slice open Vegeta’s face before the sudden voice distracted him.

It seemed Aito had been watching them the entire time, his eyes immediately darting over to him with his claws still raised before he immediately withdrew them as he clambered away from Vegeta. How dare Aito spy on them like this, like he didn’t even trust him with Vegeta. Now he was feeling uneasy, giving Aito a rather angry glare before he looked away, rubbing his fist. “I’m furious! You dare spy on me while I make a fool of myself??” Standing up fairly quickly he dusted himself down, looking about ready to go after Aito instead. “We were testing my skills in combat! Don’t you dare treat it like a joke, especially after this idiot! This is very important for me!”

T’charrl was really bad at being friends it seemed, but trying to understand what made a friend a ‘friend’ was something he continued to quiz over. He wanted to be with them and talk with them, but to have his problems all getting in the way of talking and being with them it made it harder to understand. If only he had friends growing up, or at least friends who weren’t dead or trees. He didn’t understand the dead here and the trees spoke a strange language compared to the ones he was used to, probably a language spoken by the natives before they adopted the one he’s learning. “You think…you think they will want to?” he asked up, smiling a bit, “It would be nice to have some company outside the hospital”. He was quite happy at this point, knowing he might have some company with them so long as Takeshi wasn’t scared. He would think what happened at the fight might’ve scared him a little bit, but it wasn’t as if he meant to change like that. Following after Yumi he stopped quickly when Yumi gave a quick prompt, looking ahead in confusion before spotting them up ahead. “Oh…was this planned…? Is this okay?”

Shu didn’t know what he was supposed to feel right now and was certain he couldn’t do any of this, even without all the help he was receiving. If he really was that strange of a case then who knew when he’d finally get fixed up and not have to feel afraid of himself and of hurting everyone around him. He had a fair amount of destructive power inside him and while Takeshi could concentrate that and do good with it, there was no way he could ever do such a thing. Sighing lightly when Takeshi tried to give him a talking to he slowly looked up to him, staring at him for a moment before frowning, looking down at his food. “But then people make fun of me and think I’m strange. They think you’re fine and isn’t strange, so I don’t want to make you strange too just to make me feel better”.

Feeling a little confused over himself and what he might be able to do to feel better about everything that was happening he raised his shoulders when a sudden voice came out from nowhere, looking up immediately at the source. It seemed Yumi had found them somehow, managing to scare him a little and making him feel uneasy. He didn’t like it when people got too close without his knowledge, even if it was Yumi. Putting down his lunch he slowly turned towards her, staring at her before looking to see what she was staring at. Squeaking a little at the sight of T’charrl peering over at them he bounced off in his direction, squeaking as he went on all fours before coming to a halt about halfway. Lowering himself down he stared up at T’charrl, grabbing hold of his tail. “Friend! Shu happy to see…didn’t mean to harm! Oooohhh, Friend all hurt still. Shu was bad, didn’t mean the bad…didn’t mean any of the bad…”

T’charrl was a little uneasy with interrupting what looked like family time but when Shu bounced on over to him he stared at him curiously, wondering what he was supposed to do about him starting to ramble like that. It seemed Shu was rather stressed out about something, given his body language was like a guilty pet of some kind. Shaking his head a little he frowned, staring down at Shu before giving a quick look to the others as if asking for some assistance. “Uhh, you were aiming for the bad guy. He did the harm by having me in the way”, he said, thinking that’s what happened considering he could only remember bits and pieces of the battle, “I wanted to fight too, so I tried to do that and that happened. I don’t know what I could had done to change any of that too, anyway…”

"Well my face is open, hit it all you'd like," Vegeta shot back, deflecting another strike with his forearm. So Viral could still be spurred on into a fury it seemed, meaning there was a potential for him to pull a Takeshi and fight blindly; the fact that the Beastman hadn't changed out of anger though was promising, it ensured that his body was through shifting sporadically as it had been. After knocking his brother down to the ground he was surprised to be tackled in turn, making light of the situation right up until he saw the claws raise. Perhaps his anger problems hadn't subsided quite as much as he'd hoped. Preparing to dash away if need be, both of them froze up when Aito's voice chimed in, flustering Vegeta in the process as he glanced up to see their father perched in a tree. Just how long had he been there?

Well this was an interesting situation to come back to, just what had he interrupted? Sipping at his coffee casually as the pair of boys broke up their fight, Aito arched an eyebrow when Viral accused him of spying. "Me? I only just got here, I saw you two sparring and didn't want to interrupt," he replied, smirking then as he swirled the liquid about in his mug, "But I couldn't help myself there, I had to say something. So... Sorry about that?" Seemed like someone was righteously furious right now, was it truly so bad to have their session interrupted? It wasn't as if they couldn't resume now that he was here, unless they preferred the privacy of just the two of them? "I know it is, and I didn't mean to make light of it, I apologize," Aito responded as he sipped away the last of his drink, frowning as he turned the mug over and tried shaking out a few drops. Finding nothing left he shrugged and set the mug at his feet, looking up at Viral approvingly. "So how about it then? You and I spar, let's give Vegeta a break, hm? I doubt he'll mind terribly, right?"

"Er... Not at all, be my guest," Vegeta answered, stepping back and waving Aito on to go ahead. Why did Aito want to spar? Had he noticed something too just a moment ago?

"Wonderful, then I'll be your opponent for the time being," Aito declared, smiling as he held out his arms, inviting Viral in to make the first strike, "I heard you pack quite a punch, let me see just how strong you are!"

While it was clear T'charrl didn't quite understand what friendship was he'd at least come to a good person to have it explained. No one had been as close to her over the years as those around them now were, but Yumi had her own experiences she could draw from. To her what made a friend a friend seemed obvious, and it was only a matter of sharing that with T'charrl. "Wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it! I know they'll be happy that you're out and feeling better," she answered cheerfully, glancing back and smirking knowingly, "In fact, I think you can even ask them yourself now!" Putting a finger to her lips she ducked into some of the bushes nearby, sneaking through them and circling around to where Takeshi and Shu were. Hearing them busy with a conversation she took a seat beside the older boy, suppressing laughter when he freaked out after realizing she was there. She'd spooked Shu as well, and gave the little boy an apologetic smile before watching him bound off to meet T'charrl. He was still really upset over that wasn't he? Poor Shu...

"He's right Shu, it wasn't your fault," Yumi chimed in, coming up behind the boy and stroking his hair as she leaned down, "Krom held T'charrl and used him as a shield, now that I think about it. Head's still a little fuzzy from back then, but that's what I think I saw. Right Takeshi?"

Huh? They were asking him? Pointing to himself for confirmation he sighed when Yumi nodded, rubbing at his neck and looking away, "I mean... I think that's what happened? I didn't really see it too well, I figured maybe our old man did it. Or..." Was it their father, or had it been Shu? Hm, he remembered T'charrl being hit and Krom being there, but not the specifics. Side effect of being in a blind rage he supposed. Wracking his brain for a clearer picture he glanced back at Shu and saw his uneasy expression, smiling and giving him a thumbs up. "That sounds right, I just needed something to jolt my memory. It's Krom's fault, he put T'charrl in harm's way, you know?"

"Exactly, so it isn't your fault for what happened, you're innocent," Yumi reiterated, standing back upright and placing her hands on her hips, "And we're all still friends, that didn't change either. Mistakes happen and we've got to learn to move past them, that's all. So no reason to beat yourself up over it Shu." He would probably feel guilty for a while yet, but she hoped shedding some light, however hazy it may be, on the situation relieved some of that. Hopeful to put that behind them at this point, Yumi grabbed hold of Shu's hand and tried getting him to his feet, placing a hand both on his back and T'charrl's. "Now that we cleared that up, how about we all have a fun day together? It's beautiful outside and we've got all day to do whatever we want!"
