[u][b]Description of Culture:[/b][/u] The Matwe people are not specifically religious, but there culture is rich with the influences of animism, ancestor worship and the natural world; all of which is reflected in everything from art to warfare.

Rapidly advancing. Modern Matwe forces rely solely on weapons from other countries. The average Matwe warrior is armed with simple rifles, sabers or swords-but more often with bows, slings and spears. They have never engaged in an open battle, relying on ambush tactics, subterfuge, and sabatoge. 
[u][b]History:[/b][/u] The Matwe people are a collection of dozens of tribes in the mountainous eastern coastlands. With a history beginning approximately 10,000 years ago, the tribes originallly varied greatly but over the millenia have centered in (pseudo-virginia) around the mythological Matwe Family. All kings of the Matwe are called Matwe, giving up their birth name upon taking the throne. Before their was a king, the tribes either fought endlessly or completely ignored each other. 
Other:
 The Matwe see the (pseudo-europeans) as potential allies. They seek technology that they do not fully understand (they have no idea what blue coal is) to rapidly modernize. The king of Matwe does not fully understand the political and societal issues that are about to happen...
