"All in good time, my student..." said the old man as he backed away from Yomi and nodded. He reached out with his free hand while the other rested on his walking stick, which was really a sheath for his own sword - but only Yomi and Kaori knew that. Suddenly, a dark purple aura flared up around Yomi, and around Hiro at the same time. The loyal retainers to the Shogun and his mistress prepared to fight, but they quickly backed down upon realising there was no visible problem with the.. real magic.

"My eyes are playing tricks on me... Right?" Kaori whispered to herself as Yomi and his apparent father were.. purpled? What exactly was the old guy doing?

After a while trapped in their magic auras, the two shined bright gold and all light ceased again. Smiling to himself, the old man rested his free hand back on the walking stick. And, quite simply, "It is the truth, student. Your blood is Tokugawa, and your father is indeed the shogun - you are, essentially, the prince, Tokugawa Takashi."

Kaori looked over at Yomi after the glowing ended and shrugged casually, "I don't know how he did that or if it really worked, but I'm under your own orders to treat you like Yomi. So don't worry about me." she chuckled.

Yomi was silent. Not just in shock from the magic... Or the fact that he was the son of a Shogun. But... He had parents now. Where he was once a lowly street urchin, now he was essentially royalty.

"Oh Takashi my son. It's so good to have you back in my arms." Kasumi practically tackled Yomi, who managed to hold his ground. Though the sudden outburst of affection did bring him back to his senses. "W-wait... Hold on..." He mumbled trying to escape her surprisingly tight grip. His father was, by now, patting his back. "I knew it. And I'm never wrong." The shogun barked in a laugh. Though when it came to arguments and on anything where he disagreed with his wife he was always wrong. Even when he was right he was wrong against her. And if he were proved right he would still act as if she'd been the winner. Because he was wrong! (XD)

Yomi's mumbles could barely be heard over the two's outburst of happiness. However, the mumbles grew louder and louder until... "STOOOOOOP IIIIIT!!!!" He shouted causing the two to release him a bit startled. He was panting. That had taken a bit more out of him than he thought. From waking up this morning with one realization to the current event... Hopefully life isn't always this complicated. He thought before opening his mouth. "I'm glad to have a mother and father. I'm glad to be who I am. But who I am is not Takashi Tokugawa. For most of my life I have been Yomi. And I still am. My life has simply improved even more so than it had the day I tried to rob Kaori and met her." He said with a smile.

Kasumi and Hiro looked at each other and smiled. "Very well son." Kasumi said. "I couldn't be prouder of the kind of man you've grown to be Yomi." Hiro said. However, Kasumi stopped for a moment. "What's this about you trying to rob your friend?" There was a slightly darker aura around her. The kind of a mother set to punish her son. Within seconds Yomi was behind Kaori. How? Hiro thought in shock. "Kaori... If you have any shred of care for me you won't cold hearted step out of the way." He said said acting a bit more child like. Geez... Things were going to get way more interesting from now on. Especially since magic was apparently a thing now.

(Phone is being uncooperative, limiting posting ability >.>!)

"Actually he tried to rob me before we became friends, so technically he just tried to rob some randomer!" Kaori chirped, "...said randomer then proceeded to put him in his place," she continued, tapping the tip of her boot against the wooden floor. Oh that painful moment for poor Yomi... Hey, she still hadn't said he was innocent! Was she on the mother's side?!

The old man waved dismissfully at everyone after Kaori reminded his student of that.. harsh punishment. "Now now, settle down. My student was but a street thug when this nonsense happened. Surely his new Samurai status means he's put all of this behind him?" he said mostly to Yomi, ...and kind of trying to take everyone's minds off of magic. At least Kasumi was already doing a good job of that! Little did he know, Kaori for one intended to hound him for answers once this business with the Shogun was over. She wanted to keep herself sharp, ...and very much far sharper than her partner. Yomi being stronger would just piss her off to no end.

(It was RPG, not the phone XD)

Yomi laughed a bit nervously as Kaori spoke. "Gee... Thanks..." He spoke in a somewhat sarcastic manner. Soon though Hiro, the Shogun cleared his throat. As much as I would love to continue our celebration, Kasumi and I do have other business to attend to. We'll be holding a feast later. You two may go to be fitted for somewhat more formal wear whenever you're ready. Just don't be late later on." He said calmly. "Of course, I hope you'll join us as well." Kasumi spoke to the old man with a slight bow. "Now you may all go. I hope to see you all later." Hiro said with a smile. "Let's go kaori..." Yomi said quickly in a hushed tone of voice.

"Wait, 'get fitted'? Formal wear, in the Shogun's citadel?!" Kaori suddenly looked at Yomi with stars in her eyes, "I'm going to look like a princess~! Let's go let's go!! I can't wait! Can I get a flower in my hair too?" she kept nagging Yomi as they exited the Shogun's chamber.

"Childen..." Yomi's master would roll his eyes, if he ever opened them. Or see with them for that matter. Kaori was a promising warrior, yet she still retained some child-like innocence which showed at times. The blind man took a polite bow before the others, and went on his way without another word.

"Wai... Hold... Kaori..." Yomi attempted to stop his partner as she practically pulled him out of the room in order to possibly speak with his master more as he realized that he had almost forgotten about the magic. However, it was too late and Kaori had successfully dragged him away. "Geez... Since when do you care about how you look?" He asked the female samurai as he actually got himself into a comfortable walking rhythm again.

"Since the moment the Shogun and Lady Kasumi asked us to feast with them. I mean if you wanna make this your home, you can do that any day you want. You'd just have to invite me too!" Kaori chattered along with excitement on their way out of the citadel. The tailors workshop was close by the main structure for ease of access to the lords, ladies and Shogun, so it's not like Yomi would spend too much of his day with the wannabe princess hanging on his arm. Only a few hours, that is if he didn't just pick two outfits and ditch the place!

"well who said I wanna make this my home?" Yomi asked simply. Just before they reached the tailor workshop. "I mean it's not like I'm not happy to have parents but if I'm gonna have to be cooped up here than... I don't know Kaori. Everything's changing real fast." He sighed before entering the place. "Alright let's worry about that later and worry about clothes now. Get a little extra. Just in case. Never know when you'll get this shot again." He finally said chuckling as he stepped away from her to begin getting measured, fitted, having clothes made, etc.
