"All in good time, my student..." said the old man as he backed away from Yomi and nodded. He reached out with his free hand while the other rested on his walking stick, which was really a sheath for his own sword - but only Yomi and Kaori knew that. Suddenly, a dark purple aura flared up around Yomi, and around Hiro at the same time. The loyal retainers to the Shogun and his mistress prepared to fight, but they quickly backed down upon realising there was no visible problem with the.. real magic.
"My eyes are playing tricks on me... Right?" Kaori whispered to herself as Yomi and his apparent father were.. purpled? What exactly was the old guy doing?
After a while trapped in their magic auras, the two shined bright gold and all light ceased again. Smiling to himself, the old man rested his free hand back on the walking stick. And, quite simply, "It is the truth, student. Your blood is Tokugawa, and your father is indeed the shogun - you are, essentially, the prince, Tokugawa Takashi."
Kaori looked over at Yomi after the glowing ended and shrugged casually, "I don't know how he did that or if it really worked, but I'm under your own orders to treat you like Yomi. So don't worry about me." she chuckled.
