Ulrik is an extremely cool headed person, looking at most situations with a shrewd, logical approach. He values his work more than anything, and he doesn’t allow anyone to touch any of his belongings. Due to his occupation, he has become extremely meticulous. But this doesn’t mean that he’s an uptight person. Outside of work he is quite easy going. He's quite open about his occupation and magic, but this often leads to a feeling of uncertainty from others.

[b]History:[/b]
Ulrik was brought up in a large foster home run by a couple of the Ebonknights. They took in many orphans from around the region to ensure that they had a place to live until they grew up. Ulrik was quite a studious child. Spending most of his time reading books within the Ebonfort libraries. He had taken special interest in medicine and philtering, which led him to asking for random medical ingredients from random people that were around at the time.

By the time he turned 13, he was taken in as a Page or assistant for the medical department, due to his interest in the field. His knowledge and interest was fully recognized by one of the doctors when they caught him attempting to alter one of the Philters that they had been working on, effectively correcting the formula. He was then taken in as an Apprentice under one of the more experienced Doctors in the department.

In the year he reached the age of 25, he had learnt enough about Medicine and Philtering to become a fully fledged doctor. This is when he started to notice talk of magic. This sparked his curiosity into researching magic and a way to implement it into Philtering. Amongst the dusty, ancient magic books of the library, he found a book about Alchemy. His knowledge of philtering; his curiosity into magic and his desire to mix the two disciplines lead to his eventual attainment of the magic that is Alchemy.

Now, he serves as the sole Alchemist in the Ebonfort Magic Company (Under the command of Captain Theren.), supplying soldiers with weak, but effective magical philters to aid them in combat, and continuing research into different magicks and their properties.
