In my opinion, it’s best to let the story play out as things occur. Using the canon rigidly once the RP starts makes it difficult to follow eventually. I mean, it’s not like we’ll end up at the Red Wedding or anything… but what if we [i]do[/i]? It might be a good idea to think openly once things get rolling since we’re likely to get thrown into some sort of Riverlands army (and I have ties to the Brackens, who get largely wrecked by the Lannister army) so I’m trying to gauge the “long term” if you will.

Throwing flavorful AU events might not be a bad idea, either.
