Colossus is an X-Man from Russia who's been a member for quite some time, also joining in the Giant Sized X-Men issue. He's most known for being the quiet artist of the Xavier School, as well as having an on again off again relationship with Shadowcat. He died curing the Legacy Virus with Beast, and then somehow returned. More recently he was a member of the Phoenix Five who're not cannon in this particular story, and he was a member of the X-Force team that went after mutant threats that was more or less a black ops team.

I've altered Banshee's history quite a bit because his early years were so convoluted, so whatever you have to do will be fine.
