Ray spun around pokeball and pokedex still bundled up in his arms, nearly forgotten as he almost dropped them. The voice belonged to somebody he never seen before, but seemed a confident guy to say the least. Ray nodded as he recollected what was said, that the Professor's name: Willow. Time passed and Ray kind of just stood back and listened. Ray was always a clever kid, sometimes too clever, and so as things continued to happen, he picked up on certain conversational clues you might say. The latest arrival or mystery man had a Jolteon. He learned that after eavesdropping on Elliot trying out his dex. A couple other things Ray discovered about this older trainer with the brown eyes-He knew the Professor-He has been a trainer for a good while. Good things to note, My goal is to be a strong trainer, so I have to watch out for all these new people and find out what I can. I'll also have to keep an eye out for an expert, that way I can learn fast and have an edge over everybody else. He then blinked a few times, coming out of his thoughts, as he saw Elliot release his pokemon. It looked like a turtle and Ray guessed that it was a water type. "Cool, I'll show my starter." Pressing the button on the pokeball, a red light shot out of it, and Totodile was sent out. Immediately it started dancing on the spot putting one foot in the air and then the other, with a wide mouth smile on its face. Ray grinned. "Well, at least it's happy." Things seemed to calm down for a few minutes and Ray took a little time to take a look at the cleanliness and professional organization of the Laboratory. It impressed him. Abruptly a man rushed in, and apologized to the prof. A minute later, Ray learned the dude is named Flora and a Mentor to us, our own expert. My own expert. Ray wanted exclusivity to this guy's time. Thus he proposed a deal to him as he approached Flora, "Hey Flora, if you only mentor me-I'll make sure to impress everyone with my trainer skills."
