"Another new trainer? Come get your starter?" He said in a chipper manner. Flora was severely different from Professor Willow, welcoming, kind and eager to interact with the new trainers. Flora was a trained expert on pokemon as well as pokemon battling. Even though he didn't look like it, he was incredibly witty and challenging as an opponent. The young, odd-haired man moved his gaze along the many faces in the laboratory, noticing David quickly. "Hello there! How is the Pokemon League these days? Get any promising challengers?" He inquired from the Elite Four member. "Ah! Hello!" Flora jolted back into attention as Ray walked up to him, thoroughly interested in what the trainer would have to say to him. "There's a fire in your eyes! It's promising; I like it!" He complimented Ray with a soft smile. But after Ray spoke, he tipped his head to the side. "I'm terribly sorry, young man. But I can't. It's in my responsibility to help all of the new trainers--although don't worry!" He winked at Ray. "Since you're so eager, I'll give you this!" From his coat pocket, he procured an odd, white Pokeball. "I tend to have gifts for all new trainers... But you'll have to do with this for now. It's a Premier Ball, one of the rarer pokeballs." "Not to mention, you all start with five to begin with." Flora moved his gaze to Professor Willow curiously. Noting it, the Professor wordlessly walked into a dark back room and came back, with a large, cardboard box. He set the box down and opened it, revealing it to be full of Pokeballs. "Five each." The Professor permitted stoically. Flora, however, brightened. "Thanks! For the beginning lesson, I'll be teaching you all to have pokemon battles--as well as how to catch a Pokemon!" He announced. "Two of you will face off against each other in a demonstration." He told all of the new trainers in an eager tone of voice. "I'll do it!" Immediately, Sterling straightened out his back. He wished to get a taste of how being a trainer would be, firsthand. There was no room for dawdling! With a wide grin, he released his starter--a rather large Piplup, who immediately turned to peer up at his trainer. "Hello! ...How are you?" He questioned the water type, who seemed pleased and chirped merrily. "I should give you a name..." Sterling hummed thoughtfully. "I like Brody. Do you like Brody?" The Pipulp seemed thoughtful for a moment, before nodding. "Brody it is! Let us march into battle, Brody!" The two proceeded to pose dynamically.
