Looks good. However, by the space agencies of the world, do you mean they all worked together? Because seeing as just about every power in the world was at each others throats, id say thats unlikely. You could just say it was a russian or american agency.

Well, together and not so together. It was more of a "I can do it better than you" kind of showy contest. They did the same thing, but competing with eachother. Like the space race of the cold war. The sabotage could've happened. I'll edit the name of the medical officer to sound american rather than Russian to point towards the fact and i'll add that extra info. I'll also mention his mother was an expat.Done.
