Just throwing some ideas out there, but for the sake of keeping things Christmas and/or winter themed, how does the group getting stranded at an airport during a freak snowstorm sound? Or you know, it could be a ski resort or literally anywhere else, really, maybe even an RV. A bunch of people getting stuck in a confined space for extended periods of time always ends in shenanigans. And who doesn't love shenanigans?
