[indent]Since a young age, Andrea has developed beyond her years. Her great-grandparent were Polish immigrants escaping the economic pitfall in Europe only to find more of the same in the United States. The years have since improved for the Pasternack family, allowing Andrea to develop in a healthy, shapely young woman. She stand taller than many woman, and even other boys her age at just an inch shy of six feet, but is a lightweight, 119 lbs. Long, naturally wave bright blond hair is often done up with a curler iron, and is further accentuated by hazel blue eyes and pale skin, often done up with makeup so that her skin appears to possess an even skin tone, without the underlying blood creating pictures on her skin. Her complexion is clear! No scars on her face or freckles to speak of, and a little button nose, the left nostril of which is adorned by a piercing with the littlest diamond you ever did see. Her lips are a rich pink if not covered in makeup, full and plush. She also has earring studs, one on each lobe. Other adornments include red polish on her neatly trimmed fingernails and toenails.

Her frame is petite and slender, with breasts at 28E, legs for days - it's plain to see she has won a genetic lottery, but that said, she doesn't really work out. She lacks enough strength to be even remotely threatening, and while she can carry most of the stuff she'll ever need to carry, nobody will be asking her to do the lifting for them. Most of her workout routine is concerned about jogging and yoga. It keeps her cardio up and figure right, but not much more than that. Despite her looks and body type, she doesn't dress provocatively at all and so she is spared from first-glance sexualization, but she might dress in sexier clothing behind clothes door if she's just doing it for herself and doesn't plan on going out. However, on her first day in coming to the prestigious academy she chooses to dress herself in a fitted white blouse top, short sleeved, v-necked, and has a strap with a buckle going around her waist. It's tucked into a black lace pencil skirt. Underneath, she is wearing black leggings, and she prefers to wear shoes or boots with thick cuban heels.[/indent]
[b]Skills/Talents:[/b] 
[indent]She lives the stereotype of a privileged girl living in a house with a white picket fence. She sings to herself and with friends often, and she has a harmonic voice that could be made into quite the talent if she worked at it and pursued a career in music. Neither is her of acting poor, and has even made a couple cameos in commercials. Perhaps she might yet build a career out of either of these, but as of right now, she was going to school studying law to be an attorney. As a result, she is fairly well read on the law and has a couple of its loopholes worked out. She has picked up some dance practice for prom back in the day.[/indent]
[b]Brief Backstory:[/b]
[indent]Andrea is completely unaware of her own privileged life, and how lucky she has been for the majority of it. Born to a high-middle class family in California, being able to afford good schools, started working early, learned how to drive by the time she was sixteen, won her high school's pageant and became prom queen, had boyfriends, had multiple opportunities made available to her such as offers for placement in a couple commercials by this one producer, and a scholarship to attend Stanford. Amidst all this fortune and the popularity she had in school, it didn't do much to alter her nature. She's naturally been a sweet-tempered and reasonable girl, if a bit naive of her place and the place of others in the world. She denies the existence of her privilege and fortunate, and insists that she has worked hard to earn what she has – which may be true to some degree, as she is no stranger to responsibility, but it's clear that a lot of things in her life has been handed to her, and she is currently on the beginning of a long road in grasping and understanding her good fortune. 

Her metahuman power had arisen halfway through high school – it was incredibly horrifying given the nature of her power, and was easily the most stressful moment of her life, but she was soon educated on the matter and received a great deal of support from her family and baby sister. She registered with NEST, and she signed on to go to Academy 218 in Alaska, where she'll be taking on what lessons they'll be providing there on top of the Stanford work she'll be taking with her on her laptop – while, certainly, she knew she was going to learn more about herself and her power there, that hasn't stopped her from learning more about it on her own, and has picked up a couple things. She has learned to grow comfortable around her apparitions.[/indent]

[indent]Andrea is capable of seeing another plane, so to speak, which exists within our own as an additional dimension of space. Within this plane exists corporeal entities and apparitions. These "spirits" are relatively passive in nature and accepts Andrea's presence, as though he were always there. This can give her the appearance of looking schizophrenic, always darting back and forth and talking to people that aren't there. While the apparitions are incapable of speech and verbal communication, as well as intangible with three dimensional objects, they are capable of carrying out simple tasks and understanding her communication. This includes scouting out a particular area and retrieving information that Andrea can utilize as he sees fit; this gives him the appearance of a pseudo-omnipresence in his environment. To a certain degree, Andrea is even able to control them, or at least influence them and their decisions, via a mental link to make those kinds of demands. This mental link also grants him a form of protection from some psychic and telepathic abilities. When telepathy is used on her or if anyone is infiltrating her mind in any way, the apparitions sense another presence in Andrea, and therefore becomes hostile at the alien presence in their environment. Deafening shrieking and wailing provides  a defense mechanism that will hurt and hopefully ward away the invader, but at the same time, will also harm Andrea in the process. The screaming is so loud and endless and chaotic, that people's ears will begin bleeding in mere seconds.

The nature of the apparitions are unique. They exist as a streaming consciousness existing within a polydimensional temporal plane, and between units of time – thusly invisible to anyone else. Perhaps the true power is the ability to see them and the mental link Andrea shares with them, but the apparitions are no less incredible. Made of anti-matter, and its high-energy collisions having something to do with their state of being. They are made of an electrically active gas, and while mostly inert, are inexplicably bonded together ionically – it held up that this high-energy being was able to pass information along so easily, as though they were made up of neurons.

The apparitions possess incredible cerebral-type powers, from telekinesis to telepathy, and even mind-linking. Andrea can do that by using the third party apparition to be a chain connecting two people together, and transfer thoughts back and forth. This also means they can insert thoughts into people's heads. Perhaps the most significant power is to phase into our three dimensional world and directly make contact. This is usually only done in order to protect Andrea and fully utilize their power, when it has the strongest direct connection. If half a dozen of them do this and use telekinesis on one target, that thing or person will likely be launched through the air in an instant, almost fast as lightning. The apparitions can move through walls, and through people without them ever knowing it. Part of her Andrea's bond to the apparitions include luminescent eyes that glow in the dark. What else these apparitions could do is a mystery to her.[/indent]
[b]Limits:[/b]
[indent]Andrea herself is not really a psychic. She relies on a third party to perform tasks for her, so however small, there is a delay. There is also the matter of a limited supply of these apparitions. While she can find them anywhere and everywhere, the apparitions are only so concentrated in one location, and are spread evenly across whatever area. Her resources are not unlimited. Furthermore, when apparitions phases into our plane, the air around them will warp and blur, with the sound of chiming. They are only available in this state for a few seconds.[/indent]
[b]Weaknesses/Drawbacks:[/b] 
[indent]Following up on the limits, phasing also has a drawback. After returning to their plane, the apparitions are unable to phase back until the dimensional tear fixes itself. This could take as long as a couple of minutes. They are also unable to receive commands for a couple seconds after disappearing, since they are still in the process of reappearing in their own plane. As a pseudo gaseous entity, they need to rebuild. Their telepathic defense also has a severe drawback to Andrea. While yes, the invader is harmed and warded off, it comes with a detriment Andrea's health – the apparitions are attacking the intruder through her. So she feels as much pain as the person trying to read her mind.[/indent]

Part of her arc will involve struggling with the idea that her life has been handing to her and coming to terms with her privilege and figuring out how to better herself as a person.
