Basic Information
Name: Copen Aders Age: 17 Gender: Male Appearance & Attire: Copen is quite an attractive young man. He is tall at 6’2”, and lithely muscular. His skin is pale and free from blemishes. He has honey-blond hair that sticks up in points when not styled (which takes him a bit of time; he’s fairly vain) and pale blue eyes. His eyebrows and eyelashes are a slightly darker shade of blond. Copen is European (German), and his features are sharp in his longer-than-average face. His nose is straight, with no bend to it, and his pale pink lips are thin. He has a sharp jawline that is slightly squared. Copen’s best feature is probably his smile – not necessarily because his teeth are white, but due to its easygoing nature and appearance that matches his. His preferred sense of fashion is a little older than him, and he has a preference for dark jeans and button-up shirts with desert boots. He carries himself slightly stiffly, with a straight back and purposeful stride. Copen is usually ever-smiling and laughing – quite the happy chappie. Skills/Talents: Copen is fairly influential and flirtatious. He is especially skilled at persuading women, knowing how to work his baby blues and winning smile. He is comfortable in more formal settings and is knowledgeable about etiquette due to his upbringing. He used to be a track and field competitor, until high school (where girls became far, far more interesting and gym was more beneficial to him). His best events were the high and long jump, due to his height. He speaks German and English fluently, and also has a good grasp on French. Copen can play the piano. Brief Backstory: Copen was born into a wealthy German family in Berlin. He grew up very privileged in large homes, and was taught etiquette and manners from an early age. He was an only child and spoiled rotten by his parents – he went through a particularly bratty stage in middle school, but grew out of it and into a well-mannered young man. At the age of 14, his family moved to the United States in order to further his father’s business (technology for hospitals). Although he was good at English in his class in Germany, it was a large culture shock. He had to persevere to become fluent in English, but it paid off eventually. He discovered his powers at age 16, while drinking underage with some friends (he’d developed a taste for it at a young age; his parents had allowed him small sips of beer from their glasses when he was young). The beer wasn’t seeming to have an effect on him anymore. Being an idiot of a teenage boy (as usual), he decided instead to pretend to be drunk. While stumbling about in the penthouse in New York, he tripped – and fell through the window. It wasn’t a tall building, but there was still a distinct splat, crack, and screams when he hit the ground. His skulls broke open and his face was smashed, and he laid there for a good ten minutes while he thought he was dying. But as the ambulances arrived, they found him in a pool of blood – yet miraculously unharmed. The onlookers started buzzing about how he was a Metahuman, and he was whisked away after a check-up by his father’s PR team. This couldn’t happen again. He became rebellious toward people, eventually lashing out and clocking a bodyguard that wouldn’t leave him alone. He realized his strength when his punch made a small crater in the man’s head. Being soft-hearted, he immediately froze up and started screaming for help. NEST whisked him away after determining him to be a danger, and the man did not make a complete recovery, suffering brain damage. He suffered extreme guilt due to this, and begged to be trained to master the monster he saw inside of him.
Power Information
Power Class: Super System Power: ~ Regeneration – Copen can heal from injuries sustained. This takes a varying amount of time, depending on the injury – a scratch might take a few seconds, while a stab wound could take several minutes. It takes energy from him to do so (and can make him very hungry). Wounds still hurt like hell, and he hasn’t used the ability very often in his life (he doesn’t think it’s very useful). ~ Super Strength – Copen has a higher muscle density than most people, meaning that his lean muscle is far more effective than that of typical people. He is extremely strong, and often doesn’t know his strength. His strength even extends to his grip, and the force with which he walks (sometimes he kicks up a bit of sand, his only indication of too strong a stride). Limits: Copen’s regeneration is not very quick. If his injuries are severe, he runs the risk of losing too much blood before the wound closes. He also cannot regenerate a lost limb. His strength is stronger than that of an average gym-goer, probably in line with most Olympians, but not inhumanly so. It is more of an enhancement than a super power, and other people could reach his level with extreme dedication and practice. He can lift up to around 150kg. Weaknesses/Drawbacks: Copen’s regeneration renders normal medicine weak. When he gets sick, he usually has to get better by himself – although his body might heal the damage, it doesn’t get rid of the sniffles or coughs or nausea. He once suffered a three month long flu, before proceeding to down three whole bottles of medicine every day for a week after snapping. It worked. Copen is not violent by nature, and is unlikely to enter into conflict unless forced by superiors or circumstance. This means that he might not use the power very often. In addition, his healing is slow – he could lose too much blood before the wound closes. Copen is often unaware of his super strength. Despite being a very touchy-feely person who loves hugs, he forgets about his power and can unintentionally hurt people (he once cracked a friend’s ribs, for example). This makes him very unhappy as he hates hurting those he loves. As mentioned above, he is also quite a pacifist and doesn’t like to use his strength to hurt people if he doesn’t have to. When he remembers his strength, he can be scared or hesitant to touch others. This is especially true when it comes to girls – although he is a true ladies’ man, he is afraid of breaking their bones due to their (generally) lower bone density. He is also chivalrous, which was drummed into him from an early age. He is a bouncy and happy person, ever-smiling but also quite vain. He’s used to the ‘good life,’ and luxuries. ~ He's a bit of an idiot. Sometimes he doesn't completely read when people want to be left alone, and can be very annoying to others. He's quite loud and rambunctious, but in a good-hearted sort of way. ~ Copen eats a lot. ~ He has a strong German accent.
