Profile Form: Name: Jade Felicia Parents: Emerald Felicia and Mr. Peeta Baker. Age: 16 Gender: Male Race: Faunus Weapon: He wields gauntlets that are fitted with tri-blades (sort of like wolverine’s claws if you need the mental picture), these weapons allow him to hack and slash foes with ease, and he can add a little more power to them with different types of dust. His gauntlets have an alternate mode that retracts the blades and replaces it with what can be best described as hand cannons. While they are small in size they pack a tremendous amount of punch, enough to cause serious knockback if Jade isn’t steady on his feet. He can also use dust with the cannon form. Semblance: Jade’s semblance is similar to his mother’s and yet so very different. Simply put Jade can create a vacuum in a fairly large radius around himself, how large it becomes is up to him up to a certain limit. As long as he is conscious and able to concentrate he can maintain the vacuum. In addition to this, Jade is able to breathe within the vacuum as it seems that his body literally absorbs the air around him to create the vacuum in the first place. Personality: While his mother’s whimsical nature has certainly rubbed off on him, Jade is a far more serious person than his mother could ever hope to be. He tends to show far more restraint and less silliness, not to say he doesn’t have a sense of humor. But his mother flies at a hundred miles an hour and sometimes he wishes that she would slow down just a tad. Appearance: Being the offspring of two cat Faunus it was of little surprise that Jade took after them. His hair, tail, and ears are a bright orange, while his green colored eyes are clearly something he inherited from his mother. He stands at about five feet and nine inches in height. Biography: Emerald never found love with another huntress or hunter, naturally she was friends with nearly everyone she graduated, completely her goal of befriending everyone in the school...or at least close enough to everyone. Romance however was not something she found there, even after graduation she never became involved with any of her classmates. This was all for one very simple reason, she fell in love with the owner of Vale's finest bakery. It may have been that he was a cat Faunus like her, or it maybe have been the fact that he always gave her free cake. Whatever the reason they fell madly in love. That love was not to last however, for in a tragic accident Mr. Baker died a horrific death too horrible to speak of. Emerald was devastated, but a part of her lover would live on in the product of their true love, she was with child. Being a single mother wasn't easy, Emerald had to give up being a Huntress for a few years until she felt her dear little Jade was old enough to be babysat, even then she tried to be home more than she wasn't. More often than not little Jade would stay at his Aunt Amy's when Emerald went off on her Grimm hunting adventures. This was how it was as Jade grew up... ------------ The sun was rising in the east, glaring it's pleasant rays into the windows of every home and warming it with utter radiance. This included the window of a young man named Jade Felicia. As the light reached his face he stirred, a yawn forcing it's way out of his mouth as his green eyes began to crack open. "Ah...it's morning...that's nice..." He half mumbled as his brain started to boot up, it always took him a while to start in the morning. He could already feel that today was going to be great, the weather was nice, his mother actually home today, and it was even his parent's anniversary. His eyes shot wide open. "Wait anniversary!? Shit!" He practically flew out of his covers and leaped out of his bed, nearly tangling himself in them and falling onto the floor. While normally the anniversary of your parent's marriage was something you'd be happy about, in this case Jade was anything but. His father had tragically died before he'd been born, and since then his mother always had some sort of serious mental breakdown whenever their anniversary came around. He'd never been able to get a straight answer from his mother on exactly how his father had died so horribly, but whatever happened had scarred his mother for life. Regardless he knew what he had to do, he had to stay by his mother the entire day. Even if she pretended everything was fine, he knew that she wasn't, not today. Jade sighed as he got dressed, his mother worked hard to support him, put on a brave face and used silly antics to keep things interesting around the house. But today was different, today was the day that he needed to support her, when she was most vulnerable. Raising Jade as a single mom hadn't been easy, a fact that Jade was well aware of. But despite everything she had done the best that she could and Jade loved her for it. When life was grim and serious she'd always been there to put a smile on his face, either by just being the goof that she was or simply being there. Today though it was his turn to be there for his mom. His mother was unpredictable to a fault, and this day was no exception to that rule. As he went down the stairs he prepared himself for anything, there was no telling what sort of state his mother could already be in. There was noise coming from the living room, the television could clearly be heard. Jade was surprised his mother was up, that was unusual for her, she was usually one to sleep in when given the chance. Concern was already rising with Jade as he walked into the living room to see his mother...playing video games? Yes he could indeed hear the screams of dying Grimm as some nameless Huntress hacked and slashed through countless foes on the screen. He didn't see the appeal really, didn't she kill Grimm as a Huntress for real? He cleared his throat, "Mom...you're up earily." He had planned to make her breakfast, but by the small pile of potato chip bags on the floor he could she she had already eaten. Emerald's ears perked up as she heard the sound of her son's voice, pausing her overly violent video game to look at her son and give him a smile. "Morning Jade, I couldn't really sleep so I decided to do my job in the virtual world too, it looks like you've been slacking, I'm twenty levels ahead of you now!" Jade couldn't help but sigh, "Mom...have you been playing all night? You know it's bad enough when I pull all nighters but when youdo it's just embarrassing." Seriously, anniversary or not it was hardly the sort of behaviour one expected from a someone's mom. Emerald let out a gasp. "Are you calling me old!?" Oh no, not this again, Jade tried not to roll his eyes as he prepared for what he knew was coming. "I'm a very young twenty-nine thank you very much!" "Mom, you've been twenty-nine for the past five years." "You're as young as you feel!" Emerald exclaimed triumphantly, Jade knew better than to push that particular issue further. So instead he sat down next to his mother on the couch as she handed him a controller. "Aren't you about ready to crash?" Jade inquired. "I won't feel bad if you want to sleep." Emerald scoffed at that. "Hell no! I'm fully awake and ready to kick your butt!" Jade rolled his eyes at that, she clearly was sleep deprived and yet wanted to prove she was still in her twenties. And so they played, and when they got bored of slaughtering Grimm they moved on to card games, or whatever came to mind. Eventually Emerald did tire out, and as she lay on the couch, her son sitting by her head, she looked at him with an expression of sorrow and fear as her eyes began to glisten with tears. "Jade...don't you ever dare become a baker...it's not as safe a job as it sounds." Jade grasped his mother's open hand, rubbing it tenderly as he looked at her. "Don't worry mom, I'm gonna do the safe thing, and become a Hunter, just like you." With those final words she smiled, before closing her eyes and letting her consciousness fade into bliss.
