[/quote] Essentially, yes, parody characters tend to provide an entertaining but ultimately pointless fight, as they're not created with any serious story-telling in mind. As I reserve the right to choose who I fight, I like there to be at least a half decent reason for a confrontation, because that's what I find entertaining. My sense of humor doesn't really extend to comical parody characters, so they don't really provide me with enough entertainment to overcome the fact that they rarely if ever offer any continuity or gravitas. This being completely unrelated to the actual technicalities of the fight, which aren't important in unranked, but rather solely story driven interests. Not to say I've never tried less serious characters, but I've never stuck with them, as I find they're missing something vital for me to enjoy RPing with them.
