Ayaka entered one of the choosing rooms and looked at the items that she had to choose just eight from. Things like the diary seemed intriguing, but Ayaka failed to see the use for at the present moment. Other items seemed dependent on the location you end up as well as weather. 

In the end, she ended up choosing climbing rope, hiking boots, a mysterious briefcase, swim goggles, box that says raft on it, machete, and a belt equipment package. If counted correctly that was seven items. After thinking it over for about a minute, Ayaka decided the last item should be the personal locking diary with quill pen and instructions even though she doesn't see the use for it right now. She figured maybe there will be a use for it later.

After getting that together, she listened to the woman's instructions. Now they had to choose a preparation room where they will be for 18 hours. Ayaka chose a preparation room and the first thing she did was read the General Information Folder. It got into basically being able to choose when to sleep, however, at least 4 hours is needed. That shouldn't be too difficult to do within the 18 hours she'll be in here. Apparently, she's allowed to bring one pet along with her, however, she had to decide real soon which of the three to take and all three of them can be helpful in their own way.

While thinking about if she'll take one of her pets as well as which one, Ayaka started working on getting her personal items
