A short boy, standing at only 5'4".  Izzy's diminuative stature is balanced out by his athletic build and untamed hair.  He is usually seen wearing a carefree smile or, when faced with a challenge, an intense grin.  Though rarely anything but happy, Izzy wears his heart on his sleeve, his emotions betrayed by facial expressions and posture.

[b]:Backstory:[/b]

Raised in Canalave City, Izzy grew up in near constant contact with sailors from faraway regions.  A young and inquizitive Izzy often pestered visiting seamen for stories and information about the other regions and their Pokemon.  Through the years, his hunger for knowledge and adventure only grew.  Like many other trainers, he departed his hometown on his tenth birthday to begin his journey.

Though a decent trainer, Izzy never had his sights set on being a Champion -- his desire to explore new lands greatly trumped any inclination to challenge gym leaders.  Still, along the way in his travels, he managed to earn himself a few badges.  While traveling in Hoenn, Izzy heard tell of a school in the region hailed as a perfect place for learning.  Seeking yet another experience, he signed up as soon as he could.
