Close, she was so close. Genevieve's heart pounded, muscles starting to burn with each deep breath as she ran for the salvation that waited for her. She was, of course, aware of the other girls, but for the moment she had to focus on herself, then she could worry about everyone else. Not normally a decision that she would make, but her fear was overwhelming her better nature, and it was just common sense as well. No one could blame her for that, right? Then suddenly the girl was gone, sending a bolt of terror through Genevieve. Was she leaving? After warning them and promising them salvation, was she going to abandon them now? It seemed too cruel to be true, and indeed it wasn't. Her vision was drawn away to the side, to see the girl dispatching the shadows with ease, first the ones to the side, then her own. It earned a sigh of relief, but she knew that she couldn't stop. Not now, when they might still be in danger. Who knew where else the shadows were lurking in this twisted place. So she ran on, headed towards safety as best she could. But while she was safe, others weren't, and it wasn't hard to hear the sounds, and see the carnage as the girl near her was bit into, even though she was saved by the girl who moved like lightning. The creature remained, and the girl yelled back to them, words which she seized upon and held to like gospel for now. In this situation, she had no reason to ignore what she was saying, and so she didn't. "Are you alright?!?" she called, rushing over to the injured girl, and helping her to her feet on the side of her body that was uninjured. "Here, let me help you." With that said she would do her best to help her forward, towards the direction that she assumed was the west. Now she could only pray that they could get out in time.
