"Now that everyone has been introduced here is the sitch. You're here because The Council think you need a little guidance to find your role in our Society. Now I'm not going to feed you the bullshit you're used to about us being better than the shallows and protecting them and blah blah blah. I'm pretty sure you know as well as I do..." He eyed Bob. "That it ain't all it's cracked up to be." 

He half glanced at the other too, who seemed to be getting along rather well. He'd have to keep an eye on that.
