[@pyrak] Well, I've been thinking about having the Avatar world be at the early stages nuclear-equivalent technology and the advancement of spirit vines as an energy source would fit in with that pretty well.  I don't know if anyone will have developed weapons of mass destruction yet, but there will definitely be some stuff powered with spirit energy.
