The Collector piloted the Tardis through space, not really looking for a particular location. He landed it in London because he usually always did. As he did, he placed a call from the phone inside the Tardis and called up Clarissa.

"Hey, Clarissa, it's The Collector. I am bored and in need of an adventure. You in? I'm in the square, meet here in 10."
