Ahsoka Tano, Eastgate City, Arcadia-2 It had been quite the long day in the city that the group had found themselves in. Ahsoka had managed to find one of those machines, and had exchanged her credits for the local currency. Being one of the few people in the group with any significant amount of money (or so it seemed), she had nonetheless been more than willing to help purchase rooms to stay in for the night, to tide them over until they could better settle in here. After settling in she had taken some time out to meditate, to think on what she had seen and done. There was a Sith Lord back in the world she had come from, and as someone of the Force she had a responsibility to do something about it, even if she wasn't a Jedi anymore. Of course, she could just imagine what Assaj would say about that, but she would have liked to hear it in person. Instead, she could only roll with her own instinct, combined with common sense. Eventually though she had turned in for a good night's sleep. She didn't need to deal with exhaustion in a situation like this, and it had been a busy day. So she enjoyed her rest, but nonetheless she was awake before the strange rapping on the door hit her room. Rising to her feet, she strode over to the door and opened it with a smile, revealing Light knocking on everyone's doors. "Good morning," she said to her companion. "Have you had breakfast yet?"
Ruiko Saten, New York City, Arcadia-1 "It's over. I won't let these twisted experiments go on any longer!" "Mikoto, don't!" *Crack*booooom Ruiko's eyes snapped open, heralding a gasp for breath as she sat up. The nightmare lingered in her mind, that blazing cauldron of electricity and metal, the final battle which she had escaped as the artificial espers Dr. Kiyama had made (herself included) tried to hold off the combined forces of Judgment, Anti-Skill, led by Misaka Mikoto herself. Looking around the room that she was in though, her terror began to fade, her breathing returned to normal, as she remembered where she was. Nova's Palace, resting up after the trying day. When she had found herself here, met aliens, been taken to New York City, and.... Her eyes widened as she grabbed for the nearest pillow, focusing as she applied Aero Hand to it, sending the object flying across the room to hit the wall. A smile blossomed, the girl fighting back tears in the corners of her eyes. It had happened, it was real. Even though the Level Upper had worn off by now, she still had access to her Esper abilities, just like Nova had said he would do. She hadn't been imagining it or been lied to after all. With that confirmed she rose to her feet, picking up clean clothes from the dresser in the well furbished room (which coincidentally was stocked in clothes she liked to wear. It seemed someone knew her taste). Donning the garb, she headed out with a spring in her step and a hum on her lips, ready to find breakfast, or to find Nova and see what was planned for today.
Ba'al and Teal'c, Caracas, Venezuela The Jaffa and Tau'ri had done quick work, widening the portal and preparing Caracas. The city was now an armed fortress, equipped with defense turrets, beam weapons, force fields, fighters, traps. If anyone tried to attack the city, they would find it a hard nut to crack. But Ba'al doubted that anyone would be so foolish. At the moment, most of his attention was on the vessel that he was on. They had finally widened the breach enough to get a Ha'tak through, the large vessel hovering above his base. This would serve as the flagship for his fleet here, and he was confident that it would perform well. After all, it had been extensively modified with his own knowledge and the technology recovered from the various Ancient outposts that he had found, as well as Atlantis. Surrounding it were several Al'kesh, as well as lighter vessels. This was the fleet. "Are we ready to go," Ba'al asked from his command throne, looking down at Teal'c, who stood at the controls for the Ha'tak. He was confident in his First Prime, and knew he would fly them without issue. Teal'c nodded. "Yes My Lord," he replied succinctly, confirming the status of the fleet that had been arrayed here. It hardly matched the largest of Ba'al's fleets, but for this simple mission it would do quite nicely. Ba'al was sure of it. A nod from the Goa'uld then, sitting comfortably in the position that he was currently in. "Very well. Set a course for New York City. Time to meet this 'God-Emperor', and show him the power of a true god." Ba'al was not one to negotiate from a position of weakness, and it would be well worth the wait, as far as he was concerned. "As you command." With that the vessel set off, Al'kesh flanking and following as it headed north towards New York City. Time for a long delayed meeting.
