Perhaps once should take into consideration that in the interest check where we planned the role play it was stated that they were going to make up the warrior code as we went along - with some minor/major deviations from the original series. Not to mention it took generations for the cats to learn what it was that they should and should not do. As for choosing which cats to save, that, my friend, is exactly why [i]Starclan[/i] picks the medicine cats and no one else. 

And I did say I was going to take to Otter right? It's not your place to point out and critisize something that has not yet been decided by the Game Master :)
