Oh shit, it wouldn't be that a Essosi slaving Queen, the slaving equivalent of BP when it comes to fucking up other people's coastlines, is in Garland's court? And she happens to be offering her services....shall we say, Alerie isn't looking for his armies to be directly bolstered? I can't give the game away, but let's just say, there is more to shipping than longboats. Like I said, Garland isn't experienced, but he's fucking lucky, and he's sharp, like much of his family, they are brought up to embrace the things that make them so good at outmanuerving and outcasting everyone, keeping to their own noble traits whilst quietly pricking everyone else. In the same way Garland never claimed the throne and is actually completely content with nobody saying "We're allied to you", he got "Well, go on then" instead of what Tyget recieved, he's willing to - and his sister, perhaps is willing to escalate this. And going to be balls deep in what is going to arguably be the greatest ride of anything, ever, since Danaerys mounted Drogon.
