((Collab Post between Letter Bee and Mass City; Post that moves the plot will be coming soon)) Bangor, Maine As Cedric Wessex waited for his flight, he began to have belated second thoughts. Was trying to flee the country really the answer? Would he not be endangering his fellow Star Kids by leaving? After all, there was still room to bargain, right, and there would be rewards for good behavior. So, he departed his seat, seemingly going to a small bookstand, keeping a high level of awareness, watching every shadow and any stranger that was close by. Then, halfway to the bookstore, he spoke, out of nowhere, in a voice that would not be noticed by any passerby but would be picked up by watchers: "I'm Cedric Wessex, and I'm ready to bargain." No one really noticed him saying his statement. Those that did thought he was a kid playing a prank. Well, best to buy a book, then; it was apparent that he should just wait to be nabbed. Continuing his walk, he then bought a biography of JFK once he reached the bookstore, although he had to lie to the shopowner that his parents are nearby. He then began walking back to his airport seat; would the Government really just let him leave the country? "Boy you're making a mistake." said the man next to him. Cedric turned around, fear in his eyes. Turning his face to look at the man, he said: "What mistake?" in a surprisingly mild, yet firm tone. "Running away." replied the man reading a newspaper. "Running away isn't like you Cedric." the man kept his face behind the paper. "I was afraid," said the boy. "Do I have any reason not to be?" he was still calm, but prepared to bolt at the first opportunity. "Well we can take care of your needs." the man said behind his paper. "Tell me what to do, then...but remember that I'm running for it should I see anything suspicious," Cedric was both conceding, yet prepared to withdraw said concessions at the first reason to do so. "Oh, and I guessed that you were tracking me." "We knew where you were going. We put your face into the NSA database. Figured you'd leave via a smaller airport. Got a hit here. Luckily I was near." The man pulled down his paper. He looked like a regular man. Grey hair, a scar on his cheek, and a pair of sunglasses. "We just want to talk." Cedric nodded. "This isn't a secure place. Mind taking me to your leader, then?" Agent Cartwright, which was who the man was, would - perhaps would - be thinking that everything is proceeding the way wanted it. "Sure follow me." Agent Cartwright held out his hand for the boy to take it. Cedric took the older man's hand, letting out a sigh of relief that the business had been settled. "I am Cartwright." the agent led Cedric to his car. "You know my name already, but mine is Cedric Wessex," Cedric finally let down his guard as he sat down on the car seat. The car would drive off to a private airstrip, where Cedric would be taken to a small jet plane, where all his needs would be provided for. A few hours later, he would arrive at Area 51.
