And because nobody has ever truly seen him out in the open, without a single shadow of a doubt that it is him, every AL can safely be assumed to be him. It is actually implied that he is, physically, the size of a regular Marine, but can grow by drinking his own blood. That's why he is such a tricky bastard to kill. Chances are, if you think you've killed him, it's probably just one of his mooks that had a little sip of the good stuff.

When I went to Warhammer World with a friend of mine, I saw a big case filled with 30k Alpha Legions. I asked one of the guys that worked there "So, which one is Alpharius?" he then just waved his hand at the case and replied "Pick one."

It's a popular joke to just state that every single being in the universe, unless proved otherwise, is Alpharius.[/hider]
