Not surprisingly, Morty didn't really understand any of what Rick and Flembrop were saying. Sucro-geneticist? Carbonyl refurbulation anomers? He was still stuck on what a geneticist was. Of course, he wasn't going to fill Rick on that, though he was sure the old scientist already knew that Morty's fourteen year old brain was lost. Still, all he did was nod and lift his hand in greeting to Flembrop. He trailed alongside them as they ventured deeper into the sweet world they had just stepped into. Morty's attention went from the chocolate ground, to the butterscotch lake, then zipped up to the jellyfish he just barely caught sight of. "Whoa," he breathed, then took in a deep breath through his nostrils. Mouth-watering smells swirled together, not individually identifiable to Morty, but created a delicious aroma altogether. From above, a few gumdrops were jostled from their branches by the caramel squirrels. They bounced off Morty's head, making him look up and see the colorful, chewy looking critters that bounded out of sight. He smiled brightly. Out of all the places he had been, all the nightmarish worlds he had been dragged to, this was a much welcomed surprise. "You know, Rick, I gotta admit that I wasn't sure about this place before. B-But damn, this is awesome!" Morty caught another fallen gumdrop and popped it in his mouth.
