[@twannyman] That is fine for a character and will work perfectly for the RP :). I would recommend doing the following things though:

1) Fire Magic is a type of destruction magic and the mage circle would have taught him destruction magic instead of just fire.
2) If you can, add in a bit more detail about your character's background. 
3) Re-check grammar and spelling. I know this is a slight nit pick but it is still important.
