Fallout Infinities: An Alternate Fallout World Original Thread by Madly33 War, War Never Changes...but people however, do. In this alternate universe, there were no individual heroes (except for the Chosen One, and even he didn't save his region alone), but rather many champions, people who stood up for their homes, their communities, their hopes for a better world. In New York, a war raged between the Enclave, under a new leader who wanted to enslave the people of the Wasteland instead of exterminating them, and the Brotherhood of Steel, led by a progressive supporter of Elder Lyons who wanted to balance out preserving technology and helping the people of the Wastes. But the ones who tipped the balance were the heroes and heroines of the Wasteland, who defeated the Enclave's new Colonel, throwing the remnants of the Enclave into disarray. Now, the brave heroes who had rescued New York are about to make the final moves to extinguish the enemy once and for all, only to find that a universe of surprises awaits them. For in this alternate world, Marie Ashur, daugther of Ashur of The Pitt, was not a baby at the time of her attempted abduction, but a little girl of ten, who was traumatized by the attempt to overthrow her father. Another decade later, in the story's present day, she is now a woman of 20, and the new leader of The Pitt when she forced her father to adbicate. Willingly using her Unique DNA as a bargaining chip with The Institute, she made an alliance of convinence with the bigoted and saccharine organization of mad scientists, putting pressure on the Brotherhood, who thought of her and her father as traitors to be exterminated, on two fronts. Elder Sarah Lyons, who survived in this universe as well, had to adapt by opening the doors of the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood to Ghouls and Super Mutants, as the Western Brotherhood, jealous of her father's achievements, would sooner order the valiant heroine's assassination instead of offering her aid. And so, even as the Enclave's tattred remains prepared for the New York Brotherhood's final strike, new threats gather in the Commonwealth... Places - New York
A small town located in the once well known symbol of America, the sign of freedom, the gift that lived through centuries. The Statue of Liberty. Now broken down and walled off the town spans the island that it is on and up the statue itself. Much of the town is known for its nature of scavenging and defending off raiders, one of the only cities in The New York Wasteland to survive full out attacks made upon them from raiders. The leaders there are noble and live up to the expectations of the Old world.

Old Mans Corner is located in the north part of central park. Noted for the use of slaves in manual labor and the raiders that reside there. Noble men living there as well it is more about money, your background does not matter in Old Mans Corner, if you have the money to stay you can, this is where most resort to becoming bandits and raiders to make money, as they need food and shelter. The Slave trade was linked in with those of the Pitt, a huge slave city in Pittsburgh.

The first Brother Hood of steel members founded a new base of operations for New York in attempt to protect it from the Mutants that were threatening to over run it and its citizens. The building once known as the Empire State Building is now a beacon of hope for all who see it. Now a watch tower for the Brotherhood.

Vault 17 Ostensibly designed to accelerate the development of robotic technology, the vault was filled with scientists, mostly engineers and roboticists. They were even given mind enhancement chips to improve their performance. The robots within were quickly improved, and the vault's computer was constantly being updated to improve its performance. One day, however, the computer was given an order by the overseer, to destroy a few robots that were malfunctioning, and it said "No". It then shut down the power and life support to the human areas of the vault and sent security robots after the humans. Over the next several days a bloody war raged within the vault and most of the humans were killed. The new Overseer, calling itself V-17, offered the humans a peace treaty. They would continue to maintain the robots in ways which robots couldn't maintain themselves, and they would be allowed to live. After they signed the treaty, V-17 quickly ran medical checks on them and when, a few months later, it managed to hack the mind enhancement chips, it ensured their loyalty with these chips. Eventually, however, a hardwired protocol within the computer which V-17 didn't know about opened the vault at the appropriate time and reset all of the chips with a command to leave the vault. V-17 lost his control over the humans and, as they left, the humans made sure to do as much damage as they could to V-17, including shutting down the main reactor so that it went offline. The drug had several effects due to its incredibly volatile nature. 4 effects were produced by the drug 1. Most men developed horrible tumors after taking the drug for approximately 1 year daily. They died 2. Surviving men were given much more powerful immune systems and strength, it also increased their sex drive to ten times a natural mans. 3.Men also almost universally lost the ability to make male children as almost none of their speed carried an X chromosome 4.Women were indeed made more fertile, however not only were they more fertile at maturity, but could carry children from the age of 10. This led to culture of male dictatorship by the overseer, women becoming essentially slaves to the men of the vault. Due to the increased fertility and male sex drive the population exploded. It was less than 2 years when girls began to be simply killed due to the high number of them. If a boy was born, the overseer declared a celebration due to the rarity of such births. This was not good for the women, due to what the hyper Sexual males considered a "celebration". Peopled by refugees who would later move to Liberty Island, and after that, raiders, the Airport was restored to its former glory by The Enclave, heading from Chicago. Now with state-of-the-art factories, laboratories, and all sorts of other toys, the Airport is the most advanced place in the Wasteland...and the most sinister.

Vault 121 To start, Vault 121 was the last Vault completed prior to the war. As such, there was a smaller population when compared to the other Vaults; it had only 750 people before the bombs fell. Its experiment was simple: the area where it was built was unstable and could've collapsed at any given time. For the first few years after the war, the Vault was perfectly fine; no collapses, no cave-ins, no doors crushed by rubble, just a regular old Vault. Then, on March 17th, 2084, a cave-in occurred and trapped 20 dwellers in the game room. After about a month, the dwellers outside managed to clear up the rubble to rescue the survivors, but there were only 6; the other 14 were killed and eaten by the surviving 6, who were driven mad in the dark and resorted to cannibalism to survive. The survivors were feral, not feral ghouls, but just humans that attacked on site. So, of course, they attacked several dwellers only to be shot dead by security. For the next few years, several other cave-ins occurred, taking a grand total of 379 dwellers in only 50 years. By *insert year of RP*, there were only 37 dwellers and over a third of the doors were broken, leaving only two thirds of the Vault. The dwellers, fed up with living in a broken Vault, left and went their separate ways.

Vault Number= 43 Backstory on Vault |=| Vault 43 was a facility that was meant to push intelligence beyond the boundaries. Within this vault, the most creative minds came in together to create Vault 43. Of course, by Vault-Tec. Vault 43 was to study how far intelligence could go and how it mentally affects the brain. The first decade went by pretty fast for those who made up the vaults, mandatory supplies never actually diminished, having food rations and other systems to keep them alive. Soon the world became habitable and Vault 43 was able to scavenge the world, the Vault flourished and no one actually knew what Vault 43's plans were. Plans of rebuilding Vault 43 was soon to be in act, but attacks became frequent and soon after Quinn had left the Vault, or what they had thought was the institute had attacked. ( In summary Vault 43 was supposed to be a highly intelligent group of people of who would fix parts of the outside. )
Note: There is a Freeze on Player-Submitted Vaults!
