Zac had been so absorbed in his work on the cranes that he hadn't noticed it had begun to rain. But, the second he heard the motors whir inside of the bed, he looks up to see Sabine slowly raising on her bed. He takes a few moments to finish his twentieth crane, setting the small bird on the tray next to the bed, then leans forward to listen to Sabine. Hearing her ask him to call a nurse, he chuckles and stands, only to look back down at her as she thanks him for the ambulance. Smiling down at the girl, he says, "Hey, we weren't about to let you die on us." After a moment, he sighs and sits back down. After taking a moment to look at the twenty cranes he folded, he looks back to Sabine and asks, "You feeling alright? You don't feel sick or groggy or weak in general?" In truth, Zac felt awful. He was the last one with Sabine before she went upstairs, where...whatever happened, happened. He blamed himself for what happened. If he had tried harder to follow her, or even tried to keep her from going up at all, she wouldn't have OD'd and she wouldn't be in the hospital, now. That was the most prevalent thought in his head while he was making the cranes.
