There [i]is[/i] a standardized unit of time in Star Wars.  Presumably, there are Galactic Standard Months, Weeks, Days, Hours, and so on as well. Oddly enough, the Galactic Standard Year is 36[b]8[/b] days.

But yeah, I didn't make it clear, but the Imperial Remnant betrayed the Twin Suns as their contract was technically applied to a now-dead organization. That would mean that the Twin Suns were an unauthorized military force in Remnant territory and, thus, a threat to the system to be eliminated. Hooray for bureaucracy!
