Viral was waiting for Takeshi to say what he had to say, but he wouldn’t be surprised if Takeshi couldn’t come up with anything after that. He was annoyed at him for ever thinking it was okay to treat him like he was nothing but something to train with. If Takeshi was going to apologise he better to it right, otherwise he was going to get right back to hitting him. While he was talking, he wasn’t saying what he was hoping to get out of him and was simply sounding like he was apologising so that he might be able to do the same thing all over again. It was hardly what he was expecting from Takeshi, but it was also not what he wanted to hear either if this was going to be a one-time apology.

Feeling like he was always going to be in last place was probably something Takeshi couldn’t fix, but the most he could do was force him to understand why he felt the way he did. He was angry at himself for being unable to keep up but Takeshi certainly had a knack for making it worse by setting standards for him all the time. He was constantly pushed to make everything seem worse and it had just got to be enough for him. Not feeling convinced he did tell Takeshi how he felt, but whether he would understand was another question. Staring at him as he spoke he narrowed his eyes, not being able to see past all those words as just an attempt at flattery. There was always a ‘would have’ rather than a definite with these scenarios, especially when they never did play out. Getting annoyed about that already he kept his eyes off Takeshi, only looking back when it tone changed. Staring at him as he made another attempt to try and flatter him he sighed instead, running his hair through his fingers. “…To have strength is one thing, but it was never strength I was using when I was fighting”, he spoke, looking away again, “You always talk about strength like it is the single most important element in battle. It doesn’t matter how physically strong you are. If you are mentally stricken, you cannot win. I find it harder to believe in myself with every loss and your constant analysis of my strength hardly aided matters. Do you even think of me as anything more than pure strength as a reason for me to be called your friend?”

"W-Well then you have better technique than I do! And you're smarter about fighting too! I've been strong but I lose a lot, and I never understood why. I'd get pissed at the fact that I couldn't do anything with all my power, that I'd just end up looking like a complete idiot because I never finished a fight. And I always thought it was weird but I never knew what it was, not until people kept telling me it took more than strength. You knew that all along, but you still had strength. I know it's both of those that make you such an amazing fighter, and it's why I've looked up to you. I didn't know how to get to where you were before, but now I'm determined to. I feel like I have to prove myself to you more than anyone here." It was becoming a little easier to speak his mind as he went, and good thing too. He probably never would have said any of that without being pushed to before, yet now that he had it felt kind of relieving. Yet even for all the opening up he was trying to do none of it appeared to be what Viral wanted to hear.

More reasons to be a friend...? Other than strength, which was a given, there had to be other reasons, right? Furrowing his brow in thought Takeshi went silent for a moment, crossing his arms as he stared down at the grass beneath his feet. Other reasons to call Viral a friend, there had to be more, he knew there had to be more. "I mean... It kind of has to do with strength still, but you've saved me, you saved Shu, you've saved all of us probably at least once or twice. And... Aside from that you helped us with our hunt for the Dragonballs back on Earth. I know you didn't want to, but I really appreciate all you did back then, and I liked having you along, you know? I never had friends really until I met you guys, but I can't think of anyone else I'd want to be friends with than all of you."

There had to be more reason than that, right? It was an okay start but surely he could come up with more than just some sort of debt. "And... I don't know, we're kind of the same in some ways I guess. We both want to fight and win, and we both want to be able to keep something safe by doing it. We're obviously not completely the same, but I guess as I grow up I'd want to be someone sort of like you as weird as that sounds. Back on Earth you always fought to keep the planet safe, and to keep Yumi safe, or Vegeta, whoever. You know what you want to do, and you know who you are, you know... Even if maybe you kind of forgot that with everything going on," Takeshi explained, shrugging slightly before rubbing at his nose, "I like people who know what they're all about maybe, people who don't let others get in their way and they do what they think is right. Even though we've always butted heads I never thought you were a bad guy Viral, not once. You were always and will always be one of the good guys, nothing can change that. I guess that's a reason too, knowing that no matter how rough it gets for you you're always going to be trying to fight for good."

Viral still wasn’t convinced that Takeshi really thought of him as a friend when it was obvious he was fairly well set on only admiring him for his strength. It was rather discouraging and definitely managed to make him annoyed, but at least Takeshi was trying. He didn’t think much of his strength, he was highly aware that just because he was strong didn’t mean he would always win. He would lose when he was blasted away and unable to fight or stabbed and incapacitated. There was literally no need to tell him that he would win because he was strong, he knew he had never won a fight because of it. To have Takeshi think that was the reason he should be winning certainly made him feel inadequate, like the fact his strength continued to fail him in battle.

Not feeling convinced that he was going to be able to get beyond seeing his strength as something better than it actually was he did ask Takeshi if there was anything else he might find to be the appeal behind wanting to be his friend. There had to be something other than admiring him for his strength. It wasn’t only him trying to understand how Takeshi functioned, it was also trying to understand what friendship meant to one another when it wasn’t something he was already fully aware of in the first place. He wasn’t feeling convinced so far though, hearing how Takeshi even sounded confused over his own wording. “So there’s not that many qualities that would regard me as a friend? Do Humans really need that little a reason to be friends with someone? Hmph, a hasty decision…”

While he wasn’t feeling entirely convinced he continued to let Takeshi continue to try and explain himself, further questioning his intentions and why he felt this way. Thinking of him as the same was a little strange, but there was probably more than that. Hearing him out he stared at him before narrowing his eyes, disliking what he was calling him before he let out a sigh. “Good guys? Bad guys? Like that sort of crap exists! I’ve killed my fair share in the past, I levelled entire settlements in the past. For all those years I spent forgotten at Capsule Corps all I could do was watch and listen to the news of people killing one another and the atrocities that they continued to commit! I wanted to kill them so badly and make them suffer for their actions. Is that what you would call a good guy for wanting to kill without a care? Even I don’t know. They’re not the same as me, so I feel no empathy for them. Hmph, I don’t even know the meaning of friendship and here I am demanding the answer from you…”

"Well... Technically I'm not human, so..." Takeshi began, not wholly sure where he was going with that. Finishing off the sentence with a shrug he gave Viral a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of his neck as they fell into an awkward silence. What more could he honestly say? And why did he have to explain why he thought of someone as a friend? He didn't want to keep going back to fighting or strength but that was a big part of it, as was what had been done for him in the past. Trying a different approach he tried to praise what Viral had done since their meeting, figuring maybe bringing up some high points would cheer him up. Or it could piss him off, that too. Though it wasn't a total bust, maybe he could work with that.

"I've killed people too, more recently than you have even. I've stolen and I've killed and lied and cheated all through my life, but I'm a good guy now, you know? And it's different, wanting to kill an awful person, they deserve it. It's one thing if you want to kill some innocent person, its another thing if its a criminal or a murderer." Shu of course disagreed and thought anyone could be changed regardless of what they had done. Takeshi still wasn't completely convinced of that yet, but he was proof enough of how someone could turn themselves around. "Look... Maybe sometimes the stuff we do isn't the best, but we do it for the right reasons, yeah? We want to protect someone, or something, or we feel like we're threatened, I don't know. My point is that sometimes good people do bad things, but that doesn't make them a bad person." He certainly couldn't offer a definition of what friendship was, he still didn't know entirely himself. Far as Takeshi was concerned you couldn't do that anyways as friendships were so different; everyone in their group was his friend, they were just friends for different reasons.

Yumi wanted to try and offer a meaning of friendship herself, but she couldn't come up with much of an answer either. When you thought about it friendship wasn't the easiest thing to explain as it meant so many different things to different people, there was no one right answer really. "Friendship is whatever you decide it is..." she finally spoke thoughtfully, looking over at Viral and smiling at him, "You can be friends because you have the same hobby, or like the same things, or believe in the same things, it doesn't matter. Friends are going to have things in common and things that are different, but they can look past differences and get along anyways. I guess... If you need an answer then that's what I'd say." Maybe it wasn't the definitive answer either as Viral and Takeshi had a history of butting heads, but they were making headway here for a change and perhaps that could change.

If there was one thing that annoyed Viral it was when Takeshi decided to twist the subject onto himself, trying to come up with the right way to approach his issues by making it all about him instead. It made him pretty angry but he wasn’t going to blow up about it during a time like this. He was trying to give Takeshi a chance to explain himself and find out if he was being honest, not just spewing out words to try and make everything better. Staring at him as he continued to blab about himself he soon frowned and folded his arms. Takeshi was an idiot, that much didn’t really change. If any of it was supposed to make him feel better then Takeshi certainly didn’t know much about making it up to someone. Oh well, if Takeshi didn’t want to learn anything about him only to turn the topic around so it was about him then he wasn’t going to bother talking about himself anymore.

Looking away for a moment he only decided to look back to Takeshi when he went ahead and try to make everything better, but it only managed to confuse him. He didn’t think he wanted to do any of that for a right reason or to protect himself, he just wanted them gone for being a disgrace. The only times he was thinking about others when battling was by throwing himself into the fire completely, sacrificing himself for them all even if it didn’t work. Doing such a thing didn’t make him a good person either and what was worse was he didn’t even know what he was going to do with himself after his treatment was done with. “Protecting someone or something…hmph, that’ll certainly be a change. Everyone can protect themselves nowadays”.

Feeling like he was getting nowhere at this point it was Yumi who decided to speak up about the matter, turning to her with a frown. She certainly defined it better than Takeshi did, but even then he still felt confused over it. So someone could hate the other, but so long as they had something in common they could be friends? “Such a complicated matter, it seems. If that’s the case then I don’t know what friendship means to me”, he spoke as he folded his arms, staring down at the ground, “I don’t have hobbies, I don’t care for much and believing in something isn’t anything I can think of. You would think after all those years I would find a hobby. Even when I was allowed to do very little, I still could had found a hobby…” Just getting annoyed at himself now he tried to stop thinking about the pointless waste that was his life, unable to understand why he was so concerned about it. Maybe he had spent too much time being around these people instead of battling, it was only ruining whatever personality he might’ve had before without thinking up unnecessary concerns. Growling lowly he soon huffed, waving his paw. “Why am I even having this pointless talk with you people?? Are you trying to get me to go soft?? Just typical…”

For a second there Takeshi thought he was actually getting it right as Viral seemed to consider what he was saying. When he only turned out confused though the Saiyan groaned inwardly, at an utter loss for how to word this any longer. He was frustrated with himself for not being able to word it correctly despite knowing exactly how he felt; Viral was his friend, he didn't have the words to explain why that was, but that's how it is. Finally Yumi tried to come to his rescue and offer her own explanation to what friendship was, and while it seemed clearer to Viral he was still confused. They could try this again later, he wasn't so sure he had the patience to keep going with this stuff. Letting out a sigh he folded his hands behind his head and decided to drop it entirely, smirking slightly amused when Viral complained about the conversation they had been having. "It's not pointless, makes us closer as friends don't you think? I mean you talk with someone and you know them a bit better, you know? We've never really talked about this sort of stuff, so that's the point I guess."

"We're definitely not trying to make you go soft, we know that won't work." Yumi joked lightly, "I think that's that for now though, we're out here to enjoy the day, not punch each other and get into debates." Perhaps later though she'd try to get Viral aside and talk to him about it, see what he thought. She couldn't vouch for Takeshi's friendship per say but she knew her own to be genuine, and likely Shu's as well. If more people came forward, she reasoned, and shared the same feelings then maybe their friend would be a little more receptive. Or he'd be overwhelmed, who can say for certain? "So... Now that we're done with that, what do we do now? Anyone have any ideas?" Yumi asked thoughtfully as she looked to the rest of their group, everyone else having been awfully silent for most of that. Turning to Shu and T'charrl in particular she gave them inquisitive looks, figuring they might as well let these two make a decision now. Of course if they didn't have anything in mind... "Or Viral, you have any ideas," she added, glancing over her shoulder just to be sure.

Viral didn’t see any reason to be soft towards Takeshi and to give him any special treatment just because he had known him for so long, but when Takeshi just seemed to be unable to come up with a reason that was coherent he felt like giving up, getting frustrated as he was starting to wonder what was the drive behind this. He wasn’t dying so Takeshi wasn’t talking to him because of that, nor was he in any special position that meant he needed a heart to heart discussion. It confused him to the point that he was really wondering if he was trying to hide something from him or if he really was trying to make him go soft. It was so confusing, especially when he had never been spoken to in such a manner before. “Who would want to know me a little bit better? That’s what I don’t get!”

He just didn’t feel he was interesting enough to warrant people wanting to get to know him better. He didn’t have a fulfilling life like the rest, he spent a majority of his life locked up and having random tests conducted on him. Looking to Yumi he disliked the way she was talking almost immediately, staring at her before he groaned and looked away. “Enjoy the day…some enjoyable day it’s been”, he mumbled as he folded his arms. He wasn’t comfortable with talking about himself anyway, so whatever worked for him. He was pretty annoyed with how everything had been going today, but maybe that was the goal of today for everyone else. Everyone was just making him so angry, sometimes to the point of him nearly losing it. He didn’t know how he was going to manage around these people, especially when his anger was still so out of control with no real vent. “What? I’m not even supposed to be here”, he spoke in annoyance, finding it rather irritating that they had come to find him only to not know what to do now that Takeshi nearly had his face broken. “June was wanting lunch, so why not go and get her something…”

"Well... You know, I mean you're our friend and we don't know much about you," Takeshi explained, figuring it was obvious and didn't need much, "We've known each other for what, over a year now? And I figure friends should know a little about each other, that's all." Come to think of it just how much did they all know about one another? Since meeting they'd been traveling near nonstop, and any conversations they had were usually geared towards their journey. What did everyone have for hobbies? What did they dislike? Come to think of it he wasn't even entirely sure what Shu was a huge fan of save for fruit and playing. Realizing just how ignorant he was a cloud formed over Takeshi's head as he sulked, a guilty smile on his face. Looks like he had a hell of a lot of work to do.

There had to be something Viral would enjoy doing, at least one thing in this massive city. The games which the children played years past probably weren't going to cut it, and unfortunately for June that was all she had to work with. Not deterred and certain to make him happier however she remained steadfast, continuing to try and think of something to help him. "Oh, oh no I'm okay for now, honest. I was just trying to think of something to do is all," June said with a smile, waving her hands in a dismissive fashion, "I'm not really that hungry, I can wait until later." She'd prefer to spend time with these kids for now; considering her physical age and their ages though it was almost better to say they were friends rather than her being a parent. That was still terribly strange, being nearly the same age as your own child. Technically speaking they weren't, but if you looked at her and Vegeta for instance you'd assume they might be siblings, not mother and son. That revelation sent a slight chill of displeasure down June's spine.

"If we're not eating just yet then we have time to spare, which means we can find something to keep us busy!" Preferably something everyone would enjoy, albeit that would be no small task. Shu's and Viral's tastes were about as far apart as one could get, never mind everyone else involved. All Yumi knew was standing here twiddling their thumbs wasn't going to find them anything, best to get moving again and look around. Before she walked off though she went to T'charrl and offered a hand to him, figuring he might just need a hand walking considering he was still a little weak. "Let's take a look around town everyone, I'm sure if we look we can find something for us to do!" Some of the city was under repairs but the majority was still open and fine, surely if they looked hard enough they would stumble across something.

"Sure, I don't mind looking a bit, it's a nice day for wandering around," Takeshi agreed with a smirk, raising his arms up in a stretch before grinning at Viral, "We holding hands too? I mean we're friends after all, bonding and all that, you know?" Much as he wanted to keep a straight face he couldn't help himself, breaking into a small snickering fit before shaking his head. Even on the best day he sincerely doubted that would ever fly with Viral, not like he ever wanted it to either. Seeing Yumi heading on with T'charrl and June he started moving as well, but not before giving Shu's side a playful poke and waving him along. "Come on slow pokes, don't want to miss all the fun do we?"

Viral turned to Takeshi and frowned, staring at him as he came up with his explanation. He didn’t think he was particularly interesting so why Takeshi wanted to know about him just made him confused. “I don’t know why you would want to get to know me only now. Even then, I am nothing interesting”, he spoke, shrugging lightly, “Everything you know about me is literally everything there is to know about me”. Even if there was more to him he didn’t think there would be anyone who would ever be interested in it. It just wasn’t like he was being depressive or anything, just his life consisted of helping Vegeta grow up without his parents, be ignored for a couple more years after that and then they met him. Everything else was something he wasn’t particularly wanting to say, mainly because it was probably incredibly uninteresting.

It was probably more embarrassing to say he didn’t know what to do. He just wasn’t used to having freedom like this and was immediately trying to shove the decisions onto someone else. He hardly say it as fair that he was always having to make many suggestions regarding what gets done. He did feel like speaking up about it from time to time, but if he did that he would probably be seen as too much of a recluse and will probably look pretty pathetic at the same time. It wasn’t helping that they continuously made him the decision maker. When June mentioned she wasn’t that hungry he growled lowly before looking to Yumi, relieved that she wasn’t actually asking him what he wanted to do again. If they ever found out he was completely socially inept they would probably all have a good laugh at it for a long time. Watching as everyone was getting ready to leave he looked to Takeshi in annoyance before growing at his little quip, looking like he was close to tearing Takeshi’s face off. “Don’t you dare try to push me or you’re ending your day with more than a sore nose!”

Shu had been sitting grooming T’charrl’s arms while all this was going on, being quite occupied with trying to find anything that might make T’charrl itchy. Hearing that they had everything settled and were possibly leaving now. Takeshi and Viral still didn’t appear to have everything sorted, but at least it was a start. Looking up to Yumi when she walked over to them he smiled and helped T’charrl stand as well, hoping he would feel better soon so they could play rough and tumble again. “Ooh! Where go? What in this place can Shu do?” he squeaked, holding T’charrl’s claw, “We no slow! We just no know where to go. Friend T’charrl still all hurt, remember?”

"I doubt that's true, I mean when have we ever actually talked?" Takeshi asked, smirking as he continued, "Before it's always been 'Takeshi you're an idiot, go away' or I've been 'I'm going to beat you and show I'm stronger!', you know? Not exactly getting down to talking about stuff we like. Heck, you said it yourself when I brought up fighting that you're not just that, or you made it seem that way. So there's gotta be more!" And if he was going to be a half decent friend to Viral, or anyone for that matter, he needed to get his head out of his rear and start listening more. He'd have a chance too, they were still going out as a group to find something more to do, giving them all plenty of time for a nice chat. Watching as Shu and Yumi took one of T'charrl's hands to help him walk along Takeshi cheekily did the same for Viral, recoiling slightly with a laugh when he was snapped at. "Okay, okay, it was a joke! Relax bud, I'm not holding your hand," the Saiyan said as he tucked his hands into his pockets, "You don't need help anyways, you're feeling way better than you were. Hell you could probably walk on your hands around the city by now! Not that I know why you would, but you probably could." That might actually be sort of fun, maybe he'd try that with Shu later, as some kind of training... Exercise... Thing.

"Depends on where we go Shu, we'll see when we get there," Yumi responded, looking back at Takeshi and narrowing her eyes at him, "And of course Takeshi knows T'charrl is still hurt. Even he isn't that daft, right Takeshi?" That looked to shut him up for the moment as his face reddened, she'd probably just called him out for forgetting already. Honestly he had the attention span of a newborn baby sometimes, take it out of his focus and he forgot it even existed. Letting out a sigh of disbelief she shook her head before giving T'charrl a smile, playfully tugging on his arm. "I bet your parents would be so proud of you right now, seeing what you've been doing. When we finally get to Kaesstra just think of all the stories you'll have to share with them!" Granted who knows when they would go back, it was kind of a trip even now and there may be other things they needed to do first. What's more Yumi wasn't even certain if T'charrl wanted to stay home or keep traveling with them, either of which was fine so long as it was what he wanted.

"I've been wondering T'charrl... When you learn how to control your power and everything, what do you plan to do? Are you staying with us or are you going home? Either is fine of course! I'm just curious, that's all." She didn't want T'charrl feeling like he needed to be forced into a decision one way or another, he should do what would make him happy. Yumi knew what it was like to be away from your parents for so long, to not see them in ages and wonder perhaps how they were doing. Both his mom and dad should be just fine, she reasoned, they were capable warriors and the war back home had technically ended. He had to be wondering how everyone was getting along after that. Nodding her head once at T'charrl's decision she gave him a reassuring smile, willing to support him whatever he decided. Together or not they would remain friends, her and the others, so where they were had little meaning.

Seriously though, where were they going? They had walked three blocks now without anything to grab their attention and Takeshi was beginning to grow impatient. Going for a simple walk might be nice if he wasn't prepared for a lot more today, anything more than this. Seeing Yumi and the others busy chatting away he let out a long sigh, glancing over at Viral before looking around them. "There's gotta be something we can do to pass the time, anything other than just this..." he muttered, stopping in his tracks as he looked down a side road. There was a building just around the corner that a few Uuonians were taking hammers to, a crane-like machine assisting them in dismantling the ruined structure. That gave him an idea, and with a grin he nudged Viral's arm and pointed to the building in question. "Hey... Wanna go help them break that thing? Could be fun!"

Viral turned back to Takeshi, giving him a glare as he tried to be cute about it. He was very annoying and it was only getting worse from here, certainly managing to really get on his nerves with all this chatter. “I only said that because you an arrogant moron! There’s nothing interesting about me, that’s it”. Just when Takeshi probably couldn’t get any more annoying he proceeded to try and hold onto his hand, snapping back at him angrily while looking particularly insulted. As Takeshi soon started his quick apology he growled lowly, narrowing his eyes before grunting, looking away. “Tch! I’m not a show off like you. I’ve just been on a lot of medicine”. Well Takeshi was being particularly annoying today so that wasn’t helping. He didn’t want to have to be walking around with him all day if this was going to be the case. He didn’t even understand why they wanted to come and see him, seeing how they all did was just standing around asking what he wanted to do whenever they were around him.

T’charrl was pretty alright with hanging around all these people if he had to, finding it to be pretty nice even if things were pretty tense between Takeshi and Viral. He didn’t want to get in the way of all that anger, knowing Viral was carrying around a lot of it. He could feel it emanating from him and knew he had to keep out of the way of that. Maybe the guy really was that stressed out or just trying to hide something like he very often did himself. Looking to Yumi as she talked to him he gave her a smile, looking to his arm quickly before sighing, shaking his head. “Ohhh uhh…maybe. I mean I haven’t really accomplished anything since leaving. I just wonder what everyone else thinks of me”. He didn’t mind if he was away from his parents for a long time, he wanted to accomplish something before he went back again. He would have to make sure his planet was still alright, but regarding its location and hidden status it should be fine.

Oh great, now he was worrying over nothing. He knew his planet was going to be fine and even told himself that just now, yet he was still having panic attacks over everything suddenly going sour over there. Staring at the ground for a moment he quickly snapped back to Yumi, staring at her for a little bit as he thought about it. “I…don’t think I need to go home immediately. I mean…I can contact my parents at any time. My planet has been okay for a very long time and I don’t see anything changing in the future. Even if I sometimes get big and wild, I still am the most useful here with friends”.

Viral was keeping quiet for now, even though he was rather angry at Takeshi’s stupidity and typically arrogance. He was fine with walking along and not caring for what he was supposed to be doing. Keeping his head low as he walked he sighed in annoyance when Takeshi was having a chatter with himself. Glancing momentarily away he frowned when he was instead nudged, rather hoping he wouldn’t be the one who would grab Takeshi’s attention. Groaning he slowly turned to look at what he was seeing, frowning at the sight of it. “What? You just really love destroying things...” he grumbled, not understanding what fun Takeshi saw in doing something like that, “I’m not operating that machine if that’s what you’re getting at! I can’t throw around Ki like you…”

"Sure you have! You've seen a whole lot of worlds, and you've helped us in fighting! Maybe things have been a little rocky, but that doesn't take away what you have done," Yumi said positively, not wanting T'charrl to think his journey so far had been for nothing. "And, well... Considering you put a stop to a war and you're now the first of your kind to travel I would imagine most people on your planet are beyond proud of you. Though I can't imagine anyone is more proud than your mom and dad." He'd come home a hero, there was no doubt about that. She could understand if he didn't want to go back immediately too though, they were his friends and they might not be able to visit him all that often. "I don't imagine Kaesstra is going to be in any trouble, you're right. Besides, if you're having fun then you should enjoy yourself more," Yumi said in agreement, smiling as she placed her hands behind her back, "Maybe tonight we can get in touch with them, if you want? There's nothing wrong with calling to say hi now and again. Might help you relax a little to talk to them."

Takeshi certainly didn't agree with that statement, but he was learning that arguing with Viral never got him anywhere. Offering instead a shrug he didn't say anything at first, letting the guy get out what he had to before changing the subject entirely. They needed something to do other than wander around, and what better than something to blow off some steam? Seeing a building the locals were currently demolishing, very slowly he might add, he thought it an awesome way to let them vent frustration or anger or whatever. "I mean if it's broken then why not? It can be fun, and it's a good way to relax sometimes," Takeshi said with a grin, stopping and looking over at the building again, "I won't use Ki, don't need it. We'll just punch the thing down, not like it's going to be that hard with it in shambles, right?"

Hopefully the others didn't mind too much if they took a quick little detour here. Crossing the road and waving Viral along with him Takeshi went over to the building he'd been inspecting, smiling at the locals as they gave him a curious look. "Hey, just uh... Figured you guys might want a hand taking this thing down, yeah? My friend and I can do it really fast if you want." And with minimal mess, probably. Everything would end up in a pile for sure and most of it would be contained, unless they started knocking things around by accident. Would be kind of lousy to damage a good building around it huh?

"You want to break building?" one of the Uuonians asked, blinking in confusion before looking at his co-workers. None of them seemed to have issue with that, so with a smile they shrugged and handed over their sledgehammer to Takeshi, the group walking past him without so much as a fuss. "Be our guest! If you take it down we'll clean, it's just so hard to break it safely. You and your friend are strong though, you'll make it easy!"

"Hell yeah we will, we'll have it done in no time," Takeshi grinned, giving a thumbs up before dropping the hammer and glancing up at the building. No need to use that thing, they could demolish perfectly fine with their bare hands. There were ladders here and there to get up to the second floor, and holes in the walls could be seen every couple of feet; given the fact he could fly he could handle the upper floor, Viral the lower one. Obviously if those people were to keep doing this it would take the better part of the day, never mind how long the clean up would last. Standing to the side he looked to Viral, gesturing to the building with one hand and a smirk. "Well? I say let's get this thing down the only way we know how, pummel it to dust. Want to take the first crack at it?"

So just where exactly should they go after all of this? Half of their group here had some kind of medical attention they should be getting, but Yumi didn't want to make this about any of that, not today. Today was reserved solely for their enjoying themselves and having a day off, she would see to it that it remained that way. "We'll have a lot of fun today T'charrl, just you watch. You and Shu will get to do whatever you want today and we can go wherever we want, there's nothing keeping us tied down!" Yumi said eagerly, giving each of her friends a smile as they walked along hand-in-hand. "And you'll even be able to do something Viral," she continued, glancing back and stopping in her tracks. Wait, where was Viral? Or Takeshi for that matter? Frowning in confusion she released her friends hands and furrowed her brow, not seeing them anywhere on the road for that matter. "Where did those two get off to now? Unbelievable..."

T’charrl gave Yumi a little smile before he let out a sigh, lowering his head. “I guess I have done all of those things. I guess I just don’t know how to feel when nobody else I know from my homeworld knows what it’s like to go into Space. It’s one of these new things that just seems so…out there to me”. It was a little scary, that was for sure, but other than that he really didn’t know how to cope. Maybe he should try talking to someone about it, like asking if he could call his parents or something like that. He had been struggling to cope with the massive change in his life since the day it all started, but he rarely ever talked about it because of many reasons regarding confidence. Staring at Yumi he smiled a little as she gave him some reassurance that he will be allowed to talk to his parents, or at least try to talk to them. “Ohh really? That would be really nice…ohhh but, if they see me like this, they’ll get really upset”, he frowned, moving a hand to his antennae, “Maybe I should wait until I look better…”

Viral was certainly a little annoyed at him being the constant subject in conversations and denouncing his entire past for now was certainly the correct turn for him to take at this time. He was going to be caring very little about his past as well, all it managed to do was depress him considering how much of his life he had wasted being unable to do anything, the rest of it consisting of him being tested on and subject to scientific torture. Whoever would want to hear about that kind of stuff would be the type to enjoy hearing about other people’s misery, otherwise he was just existing because he was not fulfilling his purpose and why he was made in the first place. Having Takeshi drop the subject was good enough for now, but seeing how he was wanting to have him break a building only managed to raise a few questions regarding Takeshi’s output when he wasn’t around.

“Relax? You relax by smashing things…” Viral muttered staring at the building before sighing in annoyance. Takeshi really was out of control and it certainly seemed to be he was trying to encourage violence. Everybody was wanting him to be violent today, it seems, then again he did still want to punch Takeshi in the face even after his violence was discouraged. Looking up at the building he sighed in annoyance before staring down at the short natives as Takeshi talked to them. He really didn’t see why he was being made to work again, but maybe he might get something from this that he didn’t get while smashing rocks with severe weakness.

With the Uuonians seemingly content with handing the job over he gave them a glare as they didn’t so much as give them a thanks, looking about ready to punch them in just for their lack of manners. Coming close to raging at them he instead turned to Takeshi, growling lowly before looking to the building. “You’re even a tool to complete strangers”, he spoke, looking down at the hammer before he picked it up for himself, taking it in one hand, “If you want to see this place pummelled to dust without me just crushing the building with Enki, then I’m using this. If you want to be a savage then go right ahead!” Viral knew it was best to destroy the building from the top floor down, seeing how going for the bottom floor would just mean one of them would be crushed eventually. Walking forward a little he soon bent down before suddenly leaping at the building, taking the hammer in both hands and swinging it in front of him at the stray piece of wall to let himself in.

Shu was fair ready to do whatever it took to have fun today, feeling like he deserved at least a little bit before he might end up getting all depressed again as he remembered the inevitable. It was nice to be with T’charrl even if he was clearly struggling, at least for a little while before he should go and rest or something. Smiling up at Yumi he looked back when she did to see Viral and Takeshi was gone too. Tilting his head he looked up to Yumi again, bouncing on his toes a little. “Ooh! Takeshi take Mister Viral?” he squeaked before he heard a loud bang, his eyes quickly looking around as he held onto T’charrl’s claws with both hands, “Was that weapon?? I don’t like bangs!”

"Well... I mean it's a little scary sometimes, not knowing what to expect. It's always scary when you go into something you know nothing about," Yumi spoke thoughtfully, nodding to herself. She knew plenty well enough how hard it could be to do things you've never done before, having made several big changes through her own life. Her desire to go off and learn martial arts for instance hadn't been the easiest of choices. Leaving her parents behind, people who would have supported her if she stayed home, that was something which bothered her for a long time. "We'll have to find a way to help you with that then, unless you think it's something you need to do alone? I get that sometimes people need space to sort things out, so if you need room then just tell us," Yumi added with a smile to T'charrl, "But know we're here to do what we can do, however much or little that might be. Like I said before to Viral, friends are there for each other, that's what we do."

It was obvious Viral needed some outlet for all that anger, and smashing things was a pretty good outlet. So was sparring, but he'd been struck enough and had no desire to end the day looking all black and blue. The building wasn't going to mind them laying into it too much he supposed, made it much more convenient for his face then. "You say that like it's the only way I relax, which I don't..." Takeshi said a bit defensively, dropping the sledgehammer he'd been handed, "I mean... I like to exercise too, or spar, or eat, or play around, you know... Other stuff." Not that breaking stuff like that wasn't a decent way of relieving stress; there were boulders nearby his home back on Earth he used to break whenever he needed to calm down, and there were likely still chunks strewn all over the ground. Letting Viral take the hammer he headed inside of the building, humming as he glanced around at the ruined interior. "Savage? Hey there's one hammer and two of us, what if we both didn't want to use it, would we both be savages?" Takeshi pointed out before heading for the stairs, "I'm gonna go break stuff up here, I'll toss it into the alley outside. Just uh... Shout if you need a hand or whatever."

It wasn't until they got about a block away that Yumi realized they were missing two, namely Takeshi and Viral. Her first though was perhaps they had gotten into another fight again, yet there was no sounds to suggest as much. When they got into arguments their voices alone could be hear plenty far away, never mind if fists started flying. "But take him where? Why would they-" Tensing as the loud bang echoed down the road Yumi's ears immediately tuned into what was happening, hearing another one a few seconds afterwards. Feeling Shu's hand leave her own she looked at him hiding with T'charrl, frowning before glancing back at June. "Watch them please, I'll be right back." Running back along the way they had come she began to fear they really were fighting, and just when things seemed to be getting better too. She was going to have to break it up, both Viral and Takeshi would be mad and neither Shu nor T'charrl would be able to have fun. Sliding around the corner on her feet Yumi expected to find someone throwing someone else around, instead furrowing her brow seeing some Uuonians sitting on the roadside, sharing a drink and laugh as the banging continued. Walking closer she looked at the source of the sound itself, eyebrows shooting up in surprise seeing Viral and Takeshi taking down and ruined building. Well... That was different.

Like Yumi, June was concerned those two might be fighting again. They certainly didn't look to get along too well and leaving them alone wasn't the best idea it seemed. If they were fighting then she wasn't going to be able to stop that, knowing she'd at best just get in the way of it. Instead then she did as asked and stayed with Shu and T'charrl, giving each a reassuring smile as she stood behind them. "I'm sure whatever is going on Yumi will take care of it," she assured them, placing a hand on each of their shoulders, "There's nothing to be afraid of, okay?"

T’charrl gave Yumi a nervous smile before sighing, staring down at the ground. There was certainly a lot that caused him to feel scared over but he was sure if he could just muster up the confidence he could get over it all eventually. If he could find some focus them maybe he would be able to be as confident as everyone else was with all this travelling stuff. He wanted to get better and learn how to conquer this power that had sent his kind into ruin before, he didn’t want to end up like that. Staring at Yumi he smiled a little before sighing, giving a nod and looking away again. “I think being alone is sometimes best because of what happens sometimes. Everybody freaks out so that can be embarrassing twice as much. I’m already scary enough as it is. Not sure if I am going to have the same uhh…be the same…as everyone else…”

Viral didn’t see how this would possibly help him but he was going to go with it anyway, seeing how he didn’t have anything better to do. The most he would do would be go back to the base, sit around and wait for Aito or Vegeta to see him again. Just because he had been told he had freedom didn’t mean he knew what to do with it. He had never been taught what to do when there was no war, no conflicts and nothing of important to protect. Nobody needed his protecting anymore, anyway, everyone was fully capable of looking after themselves. Landing where he wanted to be he only took one quick look around before he started smashing with the hammer, swinging it around using both hands as he continued his assault on the building. It was aggravating that he couldn’t find anything better to do other than toss this hammer around while a bunch of ungrateful aliens sat outside when this was their job. He just wanted this done with, but he still couldn’t help but smash the hammer on the same place every so often just to make sure the chunks were completely crunched into dust.

Shu was pretty scared, he hadn’t heard such a loud bang like that and what was worse was it continued, sounding out like gunfire. He was scared of guns, everyone in his clan was and that still passed on to him today. Frowning when Yumi let go of him and went off to try and find Takeshi and Viral Shu looked up at T’charrl before turning to June who spoke to him, staring at her before making a quick glance to her hand. “Oooohhh…but Takeshi gone! Left me behind…what if forever today? Noisy bang! He say he wouldn’t leave me, but he’s gone and what if someone shoot at Takeshi??”

"Really? Because I don't think you're scary at all. In fact you're soft and kind of cute," Yumi said with a smirk, reaching up and playfully tapping the side of T'charrl's head with a fingertip, "If you think you're scary then it's all up there. Shu isn't afraid, I'm not afraid, Vegeta or Viral aren't afraid. The only one that might be is Takeshi, but then he's afraid of tiny little bugs too, so he's just a baby." Basing yourself off of someone's phobia obviously wasn't going to work out so T'charrl shouldn't think too much on it. Besides they had actually managed to speak with one another and sit together earlier with no problem, maybe it was getting better. "You don't have to be the same as everyone else though, that's the thing. If everyone was always the same then it would be so boring!" Nodding to herself Yumi was certain T'charrl was fine as he was, now if only he could see it too.

Hearing the smashing of stone and brick Yumi was spurred on back towards the sound, fearing Viral and Takeshi might be fighting again. She expected the absolute worst to be coming of those noises, so when she found the two boys demolishing a building together she was just a little bit puzzled. Tilting her head to the side with a baffled expression she stared before turning and approaching the Uuonian sitting around, pointing back over her shoulder at the building. "Er... Any reason our friends are destroying that building?"

"Oh, they offered! We spent all day taking another down, was just starting this one! If someone offers to do this work we let them, no skin off of our bones," one of the Uuonians said with a laugh, raising his cup before taking a long drink.

"Work hard, not to mention dangerous. We might end up collapsing the building on ourselves if we're not careful," another interjected, "But your friends are strong and its safer for them, so we let them! We'll thank them after they finish too, but right now we're catching our breath, enjoying our selves."

After waiting a moment it became evident that the sound wasn't someone fighting but something else entirely. Wanting to be present in case her help was needed then June eased T'charrl and Shu forward, a hand on each of their shoulders as they walked. She couldn't fight, but if something had gone wrong maybe she could offer some ind of help. "Takeshi is your brotherm isn't that right? He's never going to leave you then, family sticks together Shu," she answered kindly, her mouth pulling into a frown and her brow furrowing in confusion towards the end. "Shoot him...? I... Who would shoot him? No one is shooting, those weren't gunshots honey." At least back on Earth she had been around guns much of her early life, she knew exactly what their firing sounded like. Maybe guns on this world were different, but she didn't think that was the case. When they found the building where Takeshi and Viral were working in she smiled with relief, lowering herself so she was eye level with Shu and pointing towards the front. "See? They're helping take down a broken building, that's all. Though... I don't know why they are."

As Viral pounded away at the first floor Takeshi was having his own bit of fun upstairs. He knew nothing of demolition, yet even he figured out taking the walls down too soon was going to end badly. To that end he opted to handle the roof first, and once that was finished he could break the walls in. Finding himself a window he blew out the frame with a kick and flew up to the top, hovering above as he inspected the roof itself. It looked like one big piece, but when he punched a hole through it he saw several wooden beams in a lattice like pattern, with larger sheets of wood above and below them plus some sort of foam in between, insulation probably. How the heck should he get rid of this stuff? Shrugging to himself Takeshi made a larger hole before easing himself part way into it, and with his hands on the lower section he lifted, managing to peel up a large piece of the roof all in one go. Smirking to himself he then carried it to the edge and dropped it down in the lot below, watching as it crumbled under its own weight. "Having fun down there Viral?" he called, grinning as he glanced over the ledge.

T’charrl stared at Yumi for that brief moment, looking to her hand before letting out an odd squeak when she touched his face. That certainly managed to embarrass him, but not in any way he thought was negative. She was certainly trying to make it out to be something he was just imagining, but it wasn’t as if saying that would stop him from feeling that way. He did appreciate Yumi trying, but he felt it might be a case of trying to mask the truth. Even he was scared of himself, he didn’t even know if this was his true form either. Sighing lightly, he watched as Yumi gave him her last words before running off to see what the commotion was, giving her a smile before he looked down and away in slight, momentary confusion. If she was confronted with his ‘true self’ up close, then would she still say such a thing with such confidence? He couldn’t be sure nor did he want to test it. He had been trying hard to keep himself under control and to lose it to prove a point would only undo all that hard work.

Shu really didn’t like being left by himself like this, even if by himself meant he was without his brother. He felt much closer to family than he did to friends so having his family disappear caused a fair bit of distress, especially when it was without warning. Takeshi just went without telling anyone with Viral and if there wasn’t loud bangs Shu would probably be a lot less stressed. Making anxious little noises to himself he stared up at June who tried to comfort him, staring up at her. “Not shooting? Ooohhhh…it’s loud and scary noises…” he spoke, looking ahead of him. Maybe he was just scared of big loud noises, or maybe it was just the whole thing with everyone being too calm about certain noises that would cause an alert anywhere else. Finally arriving where Takeshi and Viral was he looked up at the building, staring at it but flinching whenever a noise came from it. “Ah! No know either! Why building? No know really...but it’s noisy…”

Viral was just hitting whatever he could that didn’t cause the building to shake too much, finding the destruction of everything around him to be a lot more satisfying than anything else he’s had to do lately. Nothing was going to turn out well for him later on so this was as good a time as any to get the anger out. Destruction was what he was made for, there was no denying he wasn’t made to kill and even though this wasn’t killing he still took great pleasure in destroying. Getting really into the tearing down of structures and walls without causing the building to completely collapse on him he glared up at Takeshi who only interrupted his work, bending down slightly before jumping up to his floor. “You’re too slow! Move faster you damn slacker!” he shouted before he started swinging the hammer at the flooring and wall around him, looking like he was trying to destroy as much as he could before the building would collapse.

He was so meek and timid, was this normal? She'd expect a small child to be afraid of loud noises but someone Shu's age? You didn't need knowledge of psychology to tell something was seriously amiss here, June would have to remember to mention this to Aito later. For the time being she would have to do whatever she could to help keep him calm, at least until Takeshi returned. Odd that his brother had run off with Viral to take down a building like that, talk about spur of the moment decision. They were busy at it too and making good progress which hopefully meant they wouldn't take long on their random job. "Well... Sometimes when buildings are damaged you can't fix them. Or... It's so damaged it's easier to take it down and build a new one," June explained, smiling kindly as she rubbed at Shu's back to soothe him, "I'm going to guess your brother and Viral were asked by those men there," she continued, nodding towards the Uuonians, "And they agreed to do it for them. Either that or they just randomly decided to take down a building, which seems a bit silly, don't you think?"

Funny how much time they must have put into building this place only for it to be destroyed in moments. He and Viral had only been at the job maybe five minutes and already the roof was largely gone, the walls being broken down and much of the furniture removed and piled up outside. Peering over the edge to see where the Beastman was at he stepped back when Viral jumped up to his floor, raising an eyebrow at his insult. "Slacker? Hey, I'm making sure the roof doesn't come down on us!" Takeshi said defensively, pointing up to the final few spots still hanging, "Unless you want to be a pancake I'm going to keep doing it too!" Jeez, he was really getting into this. Watching as Viral decimated the walls around him he let out a sigh before shrugging his shoulders, flying on up and busting free the final bits of the wall. With that now completely cleared he stood opposite of Viral, looking over the wall before him to decide how to take it down. He didn't have a hammer like Viral did, so just his fists? Clenching his hand he glanced at it briefly before grinning and throwing a punch, easily shattering the wood surface and busting a sizable chunk through. "Hope they don't mind some splinters!" he laughed, turning his body and throwing a kick to break yet another portion off, stepping back as some came loose and fell to the ground.

"They're... Having... Fun?" Together. Viral and Takeshi. Having fun. If Yumi weren't here to see it she'd not believe it, albeit she wasn't believing it even now. Sure it wasn't exactly jovial or all laughs and they barely seemed to be talking, but when they weren't arguing with one another that qualified as getting along in her books. Rejoining the others on the sidewalk she smiled in amusement while placing her hands behind her back, looking at Shu and T'charrl and nodding towards the building. "Never seen this before huh? People taking down a building?" she asked, reaching up and tapping one of her ears, "I heard you Shu, I know it's got to seem strange, someone breaking a building. All you need to know is your brother and Viral are doing these people a favor, even if it seems a little scary."

Shu was feeling a little stressed out now that this was happening, but it probably didn’t help matters to have so much on his mind. He wanted to be calm and just watch the building get destroyed, but it was hard when it was so loud and could possible hurt them. He wanted Takeshi to be okay and for Viral to not hurt himself, but hearing all those noises made him incredibly nervous. Frowning, Shu looked up at June as she simply explained what was happening, hoping he could better understand what the process was and why Takeshi and Viral were probably safe. Looking to the men sitting at the side he sighed, lowering his head momentarily. “Not silly. Silly Shu for thinking it was a bad thing. Always thinking of bad things happening. Shouldn’t think of bad things happening all the time, but then they do and it’s bad and then feel stupid for not thinking it won’t…”

Viral was not wasting any time in swinging his hammer and trying to decimate this place. He saw no reason to slow down and causing destruction was managing to take away some of his stress, even if it was just only by a little bit. He didn’t get to exert his energy in a destructive manner anymore because they were trying to fix everything else wrong about him. Everyone probably didn’t want him to have a violent nature, but if they didn’t want that then they should’ve never made him in the first place. He was made to fight and he couldn’t find any other outlet so it was all coming out at once. Not even putting any thought into how he swung the hammer or what direction the rubble went in he continued to crush whatever he could to pieces, the floor crumbling and almost giving way if he wasn’t being so precise in what he was smashing. “If you so much as get a splinter in me, I’m driving this hammer into your head!”

Shu didn’t really like how loud everything was and was finding himself moving closer to T’charrl as if trying to hide in his fur. He just didn’t like the noise it made, all it did was remind him of some pretty bad things that he couldn’t quite pinpoint right now. Staring at the building for a moment his eyes soon went to Yumi, bouncing on his toes a little. “They are? Not just wanting to destroy? Oooh, they no fighting either again”, he spoke before sighing, raising his shoulders, “Oooohhh, hope they finish soon before bad thing happens. What if Mister Viral accidentally hurts someone? He would feel bad all day and night! Or maybe Takeshi hurt someone..”

"Oh Shu... You can't predict things are going to happen honey, no one can. If something unexpected happens it's not your fault, and worrying constantly doesn't change things," June continued as she got down on one knee, smiling as she placed a hand on Shu's. "My mother always used to tell me that if you worry, bad things are bound to happen. You also miss all the good things because you're only looking for the bad, understand? Things will happen in life that we don't like, some you can change, some you can't. If you spend all your time expecting that though then you can't enjoy yourself. If you can accept bad things will happen, and that things get better after they do, life becomes a lot easier." She certainly knew a thing or two about misfortune, dying was about as bad as it got. Sure she had a second lease on life now, but it just didn't feel the same as before. Yet she was alive, and whatever might have been lost in her time gone could now be replaced by new, exciting things. Life was like a book for her, with new chapters just waiting to be written.

In spite of this being nothing but mindless destruction Takeshi was rather enjoying himself. Were it just him here he might even use Ki and blast apart the building, but with Viral alongside him and other people around it was a no-go. That was fine though, punching through walls was a decent workout he supposed. Stepping back as one of the walls collapsed in under its own weight he grinned triumphantly, looking over his shoulder when Viral snapped at him. "Good thing I got a hard head, you know? Won't hurt me any!" he joked as he rasped his knuckles on his scalp, winking before walking over to another wall. "Splinters aren't the worst thing you could get here, I mean the whole building could come down on your head! Not now it won't, but that beats out little splinters." Standing at the middle of the next wall he reared back a fist and threw it clean through the wood, shattering it and punching again to break another hole. As he was freeing his hand he let out a wince and shook his arm, glancing down at his finger and pouting as he spotted some wood sticking out of his fingertip. "Oh damn it, I got a splinter!" he cursed, trying to pluck it free with his fingertips.

Everyone else seemed reasonably okay with what was going on, everyone save for Shu. He looked borderline panic stricken because of the noises even if there was no danger with them. Smiling sympathetically she moved over to the two boys and gently took Shu's hand, pulling him against her stomach and keeping him close. "No one is close to the building, and they won't hurt themselves, they know what they're doing," she reassured, lifting her hands by either side of his head, "And if you're so frightened by the noises, maybe I can do something to help?" Worth a shot anyways, she knew parents did it for children when they went to fireworks shows. Placing her hands over Shu's ears she made it a point to keep him against her for comfort if need be, smiling down at him all the while. "T'charrl, is the noise bothering you at all? I... Don't know how your hearing works, it's not painful or anything is it?" Admittedly with her ears it was a bit uncomfortable, but she was making due and managing to drown it out.
