Honestly, if anyone where to ask him about the events, the police or anything, he'd just look at them, confused. Though, had he not gotten wasted, he would've remembered the alarming events. But as far as his memory went, the events transpired like this: After Tessa had gone to talk with Nina, Austin decided it was time for him to have some fun and relax. He pulled out a flask of Bailey's - he highly doubted they would serve it at the party, and couldn't be bothered asking - and chugged it down, gulping with a satisfied smile on his lips. It tasted kinda weird, and soon after he felt a strange burning sensation in his throat, but figured that they'd changed the ingredients a little, and carried on. Though, he soon managed to bump into quite a few people, and one of them shot him a mother of all looks. "S'rr..." He slurred, struggling to keep his eyes open. The girl he'd bumped into huffed and walked off, shoving him out the way and causing him to fall on the floor. The teen got up eventually, with much difficulty, and stumbled onwards, heading god knows where. The noises and sights blurred into one, becoming like a messy canvas, everything glowing a bright orange/yellow hue. The minutes whizzed by, with him partying and whooping, barely managing to see Jade's little strip tease, much to his relief. He drank and drank and drank, completely forgetting about Tessa, and instead savouring the false joy alcohol (and possibly drugs, he couldn't remember) gave him. But, soon, everything started to turn dark, and voices mute, one by one, like a TV slowly losing power. The last thing he could remember before he spiralled into unconsciousness was Jade screaming her head off.
Austin woke up with a start. The lodge was wrecked, and there were massive cracks and fissures in the ground. There was nobody in sight at all. Not even Tessa. He scrambled to his feet - almost falling in one of the gaps in the process - and sped off into oblivion, the world around him a plain black canvas, decorated only by the stars in the sky. He stopped in the middle of the woods, completely lost, cold, and alone. "Tessa?" He cupped his hands around his mouth and called out. "Tessa, where are you?!" The Brit longed for her to call back to him, to have some sort of company, but all he had beside him was the echoing of his voice. "TESSA!" Now his voice was ricocheting off the trees, becoming a thunderclap worthy of making his ears pop. "TESSA! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Tears began to stream down his face, and he collapsed into a sobbing mess, endlessly uttering Tess' name, in the hopes that she'd find him somehow. He checked his phone, but no signal. "AGH!" Resisting the urge to throw it on the ground, he put his phone back in his pocket and huddled into a ball, wanting to stay warm. The tree branches looked like menaces above him, their bony, black fingers reaching out to grab him by his shirt, and drag him into Hell. And boy did he feel like he belonged there right now. How he just abandoned Tessa and drank booze all night, probably making her hate him in the process. He was probably going to die out here before he could apologize, too. With another sob, he huddled himself tighter and closed his eyes, wanting to wake up from this nightmare.
