The rankings I listed there are from highest to lowest (obviously, with Fleet Admiral and Admiral being above Vice-Admiral. I also forgot to include Lieutenant between the other two Lieutenant ranks). Possibly worth noting: Donquixote Rosinante was a Commander rank and Helmeppo is currently a Lieutenant Commander. Rokkaku, the man who first accepted Coby into the Marines during the Romance Dawn arc, was a Junior Lieutenant.

Oh, sorry, I was unsure if you were talking about what rank he used to be, or what rank his parents are. It doesn't really matter too much. So yeah, go ahead and stick with Junior Lieutenant. Really, any rank below Captain is fine for his parents.
