Civilized or uncivilized: mostly Uncivilized (like a Hermit)
Mundane skills: Byis is a master tracker and has an uncanny spatial awareness allowing him to track a polar bear in a snowstorm. He is a decent shot with a gun and has been known to shoot down birds around his home. Byis's greatest ability is his sparring capabilities, there's a reason why it's abominable snowman and not abominable snowmen.
Powers: Byis has strength greater then his proportionate size allowing him to display amazing feats of strength such as lifting boulders three times his size with little effort. Along with his amazing strength he has very dense bones and muscles making it harder to actually harm him than a normal animal. Byis is also capable of generating cold fields around himself or others, essentially making a certain spot's temperature drop by several degrees. He can also channel the aforementioned power into more concentrated blasts, basically allowing him to shoot snow (or in prime conditions, ice) at enemies. Although not actually a power, Byis always carries around a human made hunting rife for when his freezing powers are ineffective and he can't get within punching range.

History:[hider=Full History] Byis was born into the small sect of Sasquatches living in a cave in the Himalayas a few thousands of years ago. The Himalayan Sasquatchsee were cast out from their previous tribe of 'Squatchs due to their horrible hobby. The SasquatchEd of the Himalayas began calling themselves Yetis to tell themselves apart from their former tribe. Byis was the last Yeti to be born before the group's untimely demise. The Yeti's regularly hunted the primitive humans that lived near their home for sport, much to the displeasure of both the humans and Sasquatchsee. Byis was brought up to think of humans as nothing more then animals and thought that killing them was no different than killing a goat. Byis was one of the weaker of his clan so he didn't regularly get brought along to hunt humans but that didn't stop him from seeing them like animals. 
One day when Byis was much older he managed to get separated from his group while going on a hunting trip that he was rarely allowed to participate in. Due to his lack of experience outside of his home, Byis couldn't find his way back home. He was beginning to loose hope when he managed to come across a human town. Looking for a meal and not a fight, Byis did his best to keep into the small village but was spotted almost immediately by one of the residents. Both were stunned with fear as Byis was a giant lumbering beast and the man was carrying around one of the new 'Boom-sticks' that hunters had told stories about. Neither moved for a long time, simply staring at one another, awaiting their end but when neither was struck down they came to the conclusion that the other didn't want to get into a fight. Suddenly something happened that completely changed his perspective of the human. The human before him spoke. Byis was stunned once more, how could an animal like the human speak his tongue? Byis and the human managed to form an uneasy bond in the few hours that they were together and shared their culture's opposing views on each other's people.
Hours turned to days and days turned to weeks and soon Byis had been staying at the town long enough that everyone was somewhat adjusted to him. He had learned so much from his human friends and decided that what his people were doing was wrong. Eventually he took an oath to stop his kind from killing off anymore humans, permanently.
Byis scrounged up some towns folk and they took to the mountains, looking once more for Byis's home in the hopes to put the Yeti scourge to an end. With much effort and countless man hours the group happened upon Byis's home. The band of men and monster knew that they likely couldn't take the group head on but they did know a way to take out a good chunk of the population, if not all of them. Using the humans' explosives, the group managed to cause an avalanche above the cave entrance, trapping the monsters within. Now with no home Byis was invited to live in the village with the human which he gladly agreed to. As time went on the humans' bred and died but sadly they ultimately died out all together leaving Byis Phrug as the last of the village and also last of his kind.[/hider]
