"Well I'm from the countryside actually. My family was in charge of a large farm their we grew produce and sold milk and all that. I worked just about everyday to make sure their was food on the table. One day a turbo duelist blew a tire near my house and I helped him he soon taught me all about turbo dueling and It was thanks to him that I wanted to be a turbo duelist. Soon I had to work even more to make my own duel runner and deck back home. I made it from scratch and although my parents didn't want me to be a duelist their was nothing they could say to make me change my mind. Then I ended up here that's pretty much my story in a nutshell." Angelo said with a smile thinking that it was odd his life story could be condensed into a few simple sentences. She now understood why her brother was so cautious of this person, but just because they weren't as well established as their family was no reason to just go and judge as a bunch of heathens. They certainly sounded more honorable than the man her father became, that was for sure. At least Angelo's father probably cared about her. He also had a mother that probably still gave him love and warmth which is a luxury Tsukiko didn't have anymore.

"At least you have a family, Angelo. You should be proud of that, because my family is damaged with our relationship in ashen ruin. Wealth doesn't always mean happiness especially if you're dealing with a bunch of corrupt people. Our family suffered gravely due to corruption within it. I'm sorry but I am not going into details about it. It's not anything you need to know." Tsukiko said as she closed her eyes once again to take a breath and relax her mind once again. Her past was still one big giant labyrinth that she didn't think she could navigate alone and it seemed like her brother had just given up on putting the pieces together so they could continue to try to escape it. Tsukiko's past gripped her tight sometimes feeling like it was the squeezing the life out of her. It was certainly no different from when a succubus gives their prey the kiss of death to steal their life away from them. But sometimes it hit her like a freight train when she least expected it, because of the fact she has a hard time recalling parts about her past.

The last time Tsukiko actually had a conversation like the one she was having with Angelo she recalled is when her mother was still alive. Not only did the death of their mother affect her brother, but it also greatly affected Tsukiko since both children saw their mother as a beacon of hope. Once they lost that light that helped their hearts glimmer through the dark mist that their family releases, they started to slowly fall into the pits of eternal darkness where only loneliness sufficed. Tsukiko's heart was as much in bondage as her brother's heart since they were both shackled down not allowing their emotions to be revealed. The mysterious nature of how Tsukiko conducted herself around people usually brought them many questions which they'd like to ask her. Many of those questions were though ones that Tsukiko chose to never answer, because she didn't feel comfortable talking about them.

Still she was unsure about Angelo's actions. The way he was acting she questioned though she knew that he was interested in another girl completely, but when it came to women he wasn't good with dealing with them. She noticed this when he threw random comments at her without trying to understand her. If he didn't know how to approach a girl then he had a long way before he could get anywhere with Ethel. Every girl had a different way to approach and you didn't want to approach them the same. She found what he said about himself interesting since he did have a nice life unlike her. He had a warm loving family and a place he could truly call home. At least his family wasn't a burden on him like her family was on her. Though she still questioned his logic about women since even though he was good at making speeches he was terrible at dealing with women. "Don't give me that look like I've been blessed with wealth! You don't know how sick I get of people staring at me with that jealousy, because they have no idea what I had to go through while living in this hell I call a family. Let's just say..." She paused a moment as she placed her index finger at her lip and pressed it gently against it as she thought about that thought for a second. The thought of how her family had enshrouded most of her life in darkness is what propelled to avoid most people in the first place just like her brother. "Wealth is not always a luxury."

Tsukiko again heard him say that he only cared about her once again and this time she had quite enough. She was so sick of hearing him say that she was about to puke if she heard it one more time. "ENOUGH!!! If I hear you say you only want to hear about me one more time I'm going to puke!" She paused for a moment as she stood up from her chair and almost was tempted whack him for being an insensitive jerk in her eyes. " What kind of fool do you take me for? You keep on saying you care about me? Do you honestly expect me to believe something so outrageous? You're a terrible actor, Angelo so drop the theatrics and the act. I'm tired of it already. Why? Because I don't think you actually mean those words and that aura around you doesn't fool me. Drop the act already, I'm tired of it. What is your actual motive for getting involved with me? I don't believe that it was just mere coincidence a random person just started to care about a girl's burden that eats her alive to the point where she can barely keep herself contained. I don't understand why you care so much. It's not your problem anyway. What do you care if some girl you don't know has personal problems that she won't talk about? It doesn't affect you one way or another." Again the look of suspicion returned to her face though her tone wasn't as cold as it was when he first met her. This girl wasn't easily fooled by someone who was just trying to be a player or trying to use her for their own personal benefit. If that was the truth then she would dismiss herself since she had no interest in helping him with this girl problem he was having with this other girl.

Personally, she didn't really care since it had nothing to do with her anyway. She was tired of him acting like he cared which was starting to really piss her off. She appreciated the alleviation from earlier, but now he was just trying to push his luck with her. Honestly, she had enough where she was just going to go back to her room. He pretty much killed her mood of wanting to go swim and enjoy herself by then. "You like another girl so please just stop. If you're trying to use me as an example then stop wasting my time. You inconsiderate jerk, I cannot believe you! Just trying to work your magic so you can impress your girlfriend. Unbelievable! You're the worst! I don't need you causing me anymore heartbreak than I've been dealt today. I don't give a damn about who it is either. Why should I? I hardly even know you and now you're just acting weird and making me feel uncomfortable. If you're done pretending to care then I'm leaving. Do yourself a favor and just leave me alone, okay? The last thing I need is some asshole like you ruining what life I have left to live for. People like you make me want to throw myself off the edge of despair falling into the darkness so I can be free." When she finished that statement toward him she took her hand forward almost slapping him then deciding he wasn't even worth that. With a very furious look on her face as gathered up her duel disk on the floor she then took her clothes into her hand as she walked over and pitched her empty soda can into the waste basket. She didn't even bother to say goodbye as she walked away in anger. Apparently, something in Angelo's words caused her to become very frustrated to the point she nearly tore his head off at the end of her statement. Hah, care about me? Don't make me laugh. I can see it on your face you don't give a damn about me. I'm not going to sit around and listen to some pretender who wants to try two weave miracles to impress his real girlfriend. Go find some other specimen for your experiment, jerk! This why I just can't stand boys. Always thinking about themselves and never try to understand or put themselves in the shoes of the other individual.

"Brad." He took the hand that was offered. The poor guy must be terrified; there was no strength to the grip at all. In fairness, Brad did have quite the serious expression on.

And yet, Nathaniel wasn't the only one intimidated in this exchange. Brad was out of his element at this school and while Angelo seemed like an easy person to relate to, Nathaniel was not. And if Brad couldn't relate to someone, he got a bit coarse. "What's with the outfit?" It was hardly school regulation and, judging by the perspiration, definitely a poor choice for physical activity.

"And I don't need to know but I do appreciate my family despite how they don't approve me being a duelist." Angelo said softly smiling as he relaxed and listened to her until she misinterpreted his meaning GREATLY. Angelo just watched her as she went off on him telling him how he was focused on her money and not her and that she believed Angelo was acting or trying make an example of her. This was so off the mark so insanely wrong off the mark! She was about to slap him but instead she decided to leave but Angelo couldn't let this end not like this. Angelo quickly got up and grabbed her arm to stop her and he turned her around to see him so she could see he was serious.

"You really misinterpreted this! I have no designs to make you an experiment or anything you might of thought I was doing. Im no actor and I wasn't trying to act like I care because I do care. I don't need to be in love with you to care about how you are feeling and if you are okay or not. I care if you are having problems because I want to help you even if I don't know you, im just that kind of person who will give a homeless person a place to stay just because he asked for it. My mother raised me to always treat women with respect so if I ever gave you the impression that I wasn't sincere I apologize but im not that kind of person who would try to manipulate a girl. If you still believe that I am the kind of person that would manipulate you then I will have no problem letting you hit me for it but you need to realize that I have been nothing but sincere about wanting to help you. Just because I don't love you doesn't mean I cant be your friend after all." Angelo said taking a breath once he let it all out and explained he then let go of her and waited to see if she would take him up on his offer to get hit for seeming like he was manipulating her or if she would believe his serious tone and understand he meant nothing of what he said to be meant in the way she thought....

At first, Nathaniel was a little thrown off by Brad's question. What did he mean by outfit? He was wearing his Earth dorm uniform. Then he realized that Brad meant what he was wearing under his uniform, and his question made a lot more sense.

"Oh, you mean this." Nathaniel said, pinching the fabric on his dress shirt. "I just figured I would wear something nice for my first day. Although I guess that didn't work out too well for me."

"So Brad, where are you from?" Nathaniel asked. He could definitely pick up some southern roots out of Brad's accent, but he didn't want to make assumptions and end up pissing off someone of his... stature.

"Texas," was Brad's curt reply. Having had his gaze focused on the dress shirt, he had completely missed that this guy was a fellow member of the Earth dorm. Brad could not remember Nathaniel's placement duel, so he had no idea what he played. An Earth dorm duelist could make for a way to earn more points, but...

Brad blinked, feeling his tiredness beginning to sink in. He hadn't gotten much sleep last night, still bewildered by this strange new place. That and he had to call home before knocking off for the night... Probably best to call it a day.

It was at this point that Brad realized he wasn't entirely sure how to get back to the dorm from the shop. "You know the way back to the dorm?"

Texas, huh? Well, that was certainly different than where Nathaniel calls home. Nathaniel wasn't sure if they had much in common other than... maybe liking Lynyrd Skynyrd? Regardless, the mood around them had been pretty awkward for a while now. If Nathaniel can just find a way to leave the scene then...

"You know the way back to the dorm?"

There it was. That was the ticket out. Tucking the packs he had just bought into the chest pocket of his uniform, Nathaniel pointed towards the elevator outside the card shop.

"Yeah, dorms are underground. We can get there through the elevator over there. Speaking of which, it's probably time we headed back. Come on, I can show you the way." With that, Nathaniel headed to the elevator and pressed the down button, expecting Brad to follow. This was a tiring day, and he really needed a shower. He can open up his packs after that.

When she thought she was free of this person who had just infuriated her into a state of cold winter again someone snatched her by the hand from behind. She turned around and slapped them hard across the face for daring to grab her like that. It was unbelievable that this person who grabbed her like that had no regard for her boundaries and just literally violated her personal space. Also bad manners for someone who speaks so highly of being able to talk to women when they have no respect for them. That masculine grab is one reason she could not stand the sight of boys. The fact that they just act on instinct rather than have any dignity for the opposite sex was appalling to her.

When she did slap this person she left a red mark palm print on his face which probably throbbed because she did let him have it with all her might in that one. She noticed she did it so hard that she almost knocked him down. When she gazed more clearly on who it was, it was none other than Angelo who had tracked her down. Seriously what did he want now? To make her life even more miserable than it was? He wouldn't even need to try to succeed at doing that. She was nearly beyond the point of forgiveness already though he might have a small chance at maybe restoring his relations with her. Though she still thought he was dumb that she ran away, because he didn't love her when that wasn't what pissed her off. It was his smooth talk which one would use to charm ladies with to capture them in their web. Luckily, she wasn't a moth that was easily attracted to that kind of flame. Tsukiko slapped his hand away as he could now see a very frigid and cold look on her face which was one that didn't care about anything.

"If you still haven't figured it out then you're really dumb. It had nothing to do with having to love me. It's that stupid carefree smooth operating method you use. Can't you just talk to me normally and drop the player act? Your charm doesn't work on me so give up already!" That cold embrace that was emblazon on her face had returned once again. The iron scowl that froze like an iceberg was back where it was before. That icy gaze which froze the waters over had also come back. Tsukiko once again was back to how she felt earlier which was miserable. "Besides, I don't believe in love. Love ruined my entire life and family so to hell with it! We all know that love is a lie! Believe in that crap if you want, but don't expect me to." Surprisingly you could tell she was very serious about what she just said making her come off as a nihilist in nature. One might ponder why this girl felt that love was an evil that plagued her life when many people found it as a blessing. Tsukiko wasn't going to stay if Angelo was going to continue to talk in that annoying tone of his. Talk to her normally like everyone else and stop treating her like he did because she's a female. She found it very condescending to any female that had to bare such anguish. She actually felt sorry for those who had to tolerate it.

There was no reason to talk to her like that if he liked someone else anyway. But there was certain truth to some of his words. Like the fact when she said he didn't care when he had the audacity to run after her which meant he did actually care. "I don't understand why you care so much? I don't need friends and I certainly do not need a boyfriend. This is why I think boys are just so god damn annoying, because they won't leave me alone." She paused for a moment as she tried to loosen up a little bit. That cold carefree look was still on her face, but she managed to soften her tone just a bit so she didn't come off as so vulgar. "My past is a nightmare, my brother resents me and I don't need your damn help. You don't give a damn about my brother anyway so just get lost! God, I swear you're worse than my father who ruined my entire life and put me through this misery. I just wish it would all just disappear and go away. Everything to just vanish into the darkness. That way I wouldn't have to live this pathetic role one would call life. Death would be a salvation for me. Better than this pathetic punishment that is called living." Tsukiko said as her face began to glower even more than it did before. It was obvious the girl had lost faith and now practically gave up on hope. Her words were no lie since she wanted people just to mind their own business and just leave her alone when it came to her problems. She never asked them to care about her problems nor did she ever ask for their assistance. If she was going to come to terms with her past then she was going to do it on her own. Without the help of her people who would just get in her way. Tsukiko had revealed an important detail about herself. She was troubled by a past which came spinning down like a death spiral closely brushing the gates of hell on its depths into the flames that would incinerate it.

Angelo groaned a little when she actually slapped him so again he must have done something wrong but he made sure not to fall on his knees when she slapped him. He looked back at her to let her explain and she thought that Angelo was being carefree and smooth? Angelo started to laugh at that smiling. She thought he was trying to act like a player? That's just hilarious."I'm flattered you think I'm a smooth talker but I wasn't trying to be at all. The reason I sounded carefree is because I am." Angelo said smiling as she went on to explain more and she said she didn't understand why Angelo cared so much and in truth Angelo wasn't completely sure himself but he could just sense that she was in pain. That was son found true when she talked more about her family and he could understand."I care cause I could tell you were in pain. Nobody should suffer alone. The reason I don't care about your brother is because I'm talking to Tsukiko she is the girl that you know slapped me. Angelo said with a laugh rubbing his cheek "I don't know your dad but it's obvious that you don't have a high opinion of him so I'll just say that I'm not him, I can only be me same way you can only be you. Not a wealthy girl, not a girl that's miserable because of corruption just you. Don't ever say life isn't worth living either cause it is no matter what hardship you go through it will be worth it in the end when life cuts you a break Angelo said wondering if he was going to get slapped again for laughing

Brad shrugged, but he still followed Nathaniel towards the elevator. Brad was not quite sure if he had made up his mind about Nathaniel yet. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but the whole dress shirt to perform physical activities raised a potential red flag. Then again, that likely applied to this whole bizarre school of kids with too much time on their hands.

As they got into the elevator, Brad felt a shiver down his back. Something told him that it would be a bad idea to ever challenge Nathaniel to a duel. He wasn't sure what it was, but the message was loud and clear: win or lose, it would not be worth it.

With that unsettling thought, Brad now found himself in an elevator alone with the guy. At least the day was nearly at an end.

Nathaniel figured that further conversation was probably out of the question. So, standing there waiting for the elevator to drop him off at his floor with not much else to do, Nathaniel figured now was a good time for a little reflection.

His time here didn't start out so great. In fact, it started out in the worst way possible, and it landed him in Earth. Following that, he had started his first day of classes with some pretty terrible clothing choices, something he resolved to fix in the future. The saving grace of his time here had been meeting Camryn and Megan, and being a part of a pretty great Action Duel. Not to mention, a duel that he actually managed to win.

Nathaniel allowed himself to have a little bit of hope. Maybe his luck really is turning around. He felt great. So great, in fact, that he bet he could take on the guy next to him in a duel and beat him every time.

He quickly shook that thought out of his mind, as something told him that might not work out too well for either of them. Plus, the guy looked like he could snap Nathaniel like a twig. Probably best not to aggravate him.

DING

The soothing chime of the elevator bell signaled the two students' arrival at their destination. Nathaniel raised his hand slightly in farewell before heading off towards the direction of his room.

"Well, my room's this way, so I guess I'll see you later."

Haas took a few strands of hair that had fallen in front of his face, then brushed them to the side before answering Cammie's question. "Haas, Haas Mesman! But I don't think you'll be crushing me at all. Let's go!" Haas took the deck from his holder, strapped around the waist, and slid it into his disk. It shuffled the cards automatically before 4000 LP flared up on the display.

Tsukiko was irritated by the fact he just didn't understand. The fact he came from such a family which was reputable didn't really help his case since it would be that much more difficult to establish any form of bond earlier. She looked away from him for a moment and wondered if those urges of laughing were actually real feelings? Here was this annoying boy who wouldn't leave her alone and yet he managed to bring in some sense of humor despite being a terrible example for her. Why couldn't he understand that she didn't want his help? She just became more frustrated when he decided he just wanted to continue to talk to her rather than get the point that she had no interest in forming any form of relationship with him. Damn you, are you that stupid? The fact you just won't disappear is making me even more uncomfortable. I hate you and all that you stand for and yet here you are bothering me thinking that you can understand what I've been through? She thought to herself as her eyes were still full of doom and gloom inside them. Her eyes further developed from the emptiness she felt as they became even more fierce than they were earlier. They looked like she was pissed off though the look on her face was one that gave the impression that she just wanted to be left alone.

Everytime she sighed at him it became longer and deeper since she was getting quite fed up with his words. Who did he think he was anyway just to think he could violate her space like that, because he wanted to share her pain. She had no interest in sharing any of her pain with him and he needed to get the hint. He was suffocating his words off optimism like he had a strangle hold of her throat. It felt like the fresh clean error which was unaffected by his idiocy was being blocked by his words which she found rather insulting. He was just ignorant to not respect the fact she was a lady and here he was make a hypocrite out of himself saying how good he was with women when he just didn't have any idea what he was doing. It was obvious by that foolhardy laugh that he had going and that carefree smile on his face just continued to cause her blood to boil within the cauldrons of her own hell she call life. She started her to speak once again in a tone that showed little interest in what he was talking while she scoffed at him. "You actually think you have any right to question me when you have no idea how bad I've suffered? You insult me with your very presence and if you grab me like that again I will do more than just slap you!" She paused for a moment as her tone become even more vulgar before she decided to continue. Her eyes also widened showing more ferocity as she brought her arms up and crossed them together on her chest making them square. "All you boys do is care about you. That's all you care about. It's never about the person you're talking about. It's always you and how can I improve my bonds with this random girl that is suffering. You really are gullible it's not only pathetic, but makes me want to smash this wall right in front of me." She paused for a moment there as she clenched her fist and then brought her other hand up against with her fingers partially curled in as she gestured that she was going to hit the wall with her fist if he continued to bother her like he did.

"Life is worth living? This coming from someone who has no idea what true adversity is? If you experienced what I've gone through I doubt you would use those same words to describe life. Especially when everything you loved was either stolen away from you or is collapsing right in front of your eyes where you are powerless to do anything." She paused briefly as she looked around the room for a moment to see if anyone else was looking. Surely enough, some of the students were watching the confrontation between the two which only made her run her hand through strands of her fluffing them upward into the air before they returned to their position. Her body was obviously griping from this individual who stood right in front of her who continued to use words he thought he was just pulling out of thin air. Yeah, of course you don't care about my brother. You only want to try to impress his sister which is myself and you aren't doing a very good job of it either. She revolted in her mind as she would try to control her thoughts from letting them escape. Letting the cat escape out of the bag just might make him more curious and want to pry into her affairs even further. "There is only one Tsukiko and that is me. I don't know about this imagined Tsukiko you have envisioned nor do I care. I am myself and that is all you need to know. Yet you are too stupid to pick up that I am the genuine Tsukiko who has veiled herself under a mask trying to strive for a normal lifestyle until I achieve what I came here to accomplish. You all came here to become professional duelists, but I, on the other hand, did not come here for that reason. I will also not disclose the reason why I did come here, because you couldn't help me anyway. It's also none of your your business." Tsukiko's tone became more harsh with each sentence she spoke. The harsh reality of this girl's suffering could be felt if you could feel the burn of her flames released by the sheer animosity set off in her eyes like a ticking timebomb.

"It's always easy for someone to just try to ignite the flames of warmth and light within someone's heart when they have lived a life that is nearly perfect outside the corruption and greed which fuels the circle of hatred for many. Of course, you can say how easy life is to live when you haven't lost anything and have never experienced tragedy in your life. Then you think you can move heaven and earth by trying to pull someone out of the depths of the void without understanding you have no experience of being pushed into the dark hole of nothingness that is known as the cruel reality of despair. You have your crux which is called prosperity and you're able to propel yourself forward due to the fact that you had always experienced a life full of happiness. You still have the light known as faith and hope which shine upon you like a beacon of stars in the sky. But you will never understand the void that creeps inside my heart and I'm not about to let you try to understand it either." Tsukiko stated in a very cold and somewhat sinister like tone as her eyes became even more icy as the gaze gave some people chills that ran down their spine. This person in front of her who just tried their hardest to try to understand her was the reason she hated boys the most. She knew that with every sentence he spoke and the fact he went off and said something as foolish as not a wealthy girl, not a girl that's miserable because of corruption just you when he still had no idea that he was confronting the true version of herself which was embracing all the hatred for boys she had inside her body and releasing it on him.

The constant thought of him still not seeing and failing to understand that his smooth talking wasn't getting anywhere with her almost pushed her patience to its limit. She tried to control her hatred which wanted to rage and cause destruction to objects around her though Angelo made it harder to sanction it off. It was hard enough she had thoughts of her past looming around her like a haunted ghost. It was like this ghost wanted revenge for something she did, but that is all it came off as. It wasn't actually a ghost that cursed her though it did feel like one. This made her despise her father more and more since she blamed him for all the suffering that she had to go through. Including the accident that happened during the Semifinals in the World Tournament that was sponsored by her father. She had closed her eyes for a moment while thinking and when she was finished with trying to piece her thoughts together she opened them once again. The light that Angelo saw earlier had dimmed and the flame that was lit on her face was only completely extinguished by the cold nature of her own attitude which enveloped her in a state of coldness. Her rivers within her eyes were all but dried up. The whiteness in her eyes showed signs of red like she had cried for days end and still came to no resolution. Tsukiko eyes showed she was filled with very deep sadness and one had to venture deep into the cave of darkness that were her memories to even understand the girl which she refused to let anyone do. She was about to start with Angelo either. The day was almost over and she decided she would go from a swim another day like the verdict she came toward earlier due to Angelo's failed sense of judgment which impeded her way of thinking clearly. She could sense he cared, but that didn't matter since she did not trust him at all with her feelings. After how he grabbed her and chose such a careless choice of words as well as becoming repetitive she was almost ready to retire for the day and put the events of today behind her.

Angelo sighed taking a deep breath to calm himself from everything she said all about how life wasn't worth living and how he couldn't understand what she has been through. It was true but Angelo needed to see things from her point of view, Angelo leaned against the wall nearby looking at her as he figured out what to say. Nothing he tried so far got her to understand that all Angelo wanted to do was help her and not because she was simply a woman or in pain. It was because Angelo would never forgive himself if he never tried to begin with. "Their is no such thing as a perfect life." Angelo said knowing that got her attention after he tried to talk about looking for happiness, Angelo understood that he needed to try and understand where she was coming from. "Their is no such thing as having a life without pain or suffering because that's life. I had an uncle once he was really nice to me and he encouraged me to be a duelist unlike my father but one day he was attacked by some punk in the street. He died in the hospital and I thought I lost someone who would always cheer me on in the stands as I took to the dueling circuit. My parents don't want me to duel and as a result that created friction between us. Your right I don't understand what you have gone through but I didn't live a perfect life because their isn't any such thing. All we can do is take everyday one at a time and hope for the best." Angelo unsure if what he was saying was having any effect on her at this point but even if he couldn't get through to her all he could hope for was that Angelo was really and truly trying to help her."I want to talk to you because I want to. I have no other motive then that if you want to leave I wont stop you again but that doesn't mean I wont stop trying to help." Angelo said as he finished wondering what she would do now that she heard him actually try to understand her on her own level...

Tsukiko sighed as she was about to leave then it appeared Angelo at least wanted her to hear him out, because he was going to take another approach toward her. She didn't really see any reason to, because the last few times he only tried to look at things from his own point a view. Surely this time would be no different, but something inside her made her close her eyes and think it over. Where she came to the conclusion she would at least hear what else he had to say. It better not be the same repeated nonsense otherwise she was going to leave, because she was tired and wasn't in the mood anymore for people to treat her like some object of possession. "Fine, I'll listen to you. If it is the same nonsense as earlier I am going to leave." She did lighten up just slightly, but still that anger inside of her raged on like a lion. There was no replacing what she had lost and even Angelo's words couldn't bring what she lost in the past back. This was his last chance with her so he better make it good, because her patience was at its limit.

"There is no such thing as a perfect life." Angelo said knowing that got her attention after he tried to talk about looking for happiness. The first statement she heard from him she was a little taken back by. She didn't expect to hear something like that come out of his mouth where her face shifted into a state where she was completely taken by surprise nearly paralyzed by the what he just said. It was very different than what he had said earlier and it was something she agreed with. At least they saw eye to eye that no life was perfect no matter how you live it. Perhaps she had misjudged him and not given him a chance, because she thought he was another one of those boys who bragged about how great their life was and how she would fit in perfectly. "That is not something I expected to hear from you... You aren't trying to deceive me, are you? You better mean those words, because I'm going to hold you to them. If you're any different than the other boys then you best prove it to me. Only then will I finally recognize you as one of my acquaintances. But only an acquaintance. Don't think I'm just going to automatically become your friend, because my trust isn't that easily given out. But, I guess..." She pondered for a moment as he managed to calm the hellfire inside her body that was raging wildly like flames burning on a course toward chaos. It wasn't enough to extinguish the flames, but it was enough to at least calm the raging phoenix that wanted to burn everything in her path to ashes. Of course, that was just a figure of speech for she earlier wanted to cause havoc. "It's a start."

"There is no such thing as having a life without pain or suffering because that's life. You're right I don't understand what you have gone through but I didn't live a perfect life because their isn't any such thing. All we can do is take everyday one at a time and hope for the best." Angelo unsure if what he was saying was having any effect on her at this point but even if he couldn't get through to her all he could hope for was that Angelo was really and truly trying to help her. When he continued she was mesmerized by what he had just said. This time his words were trying to relate to her pain instead of the trust big brother I'll make things better approach. Tsukiko wasn't entirely sure if he knew the gravity of her situation. It frustrated her that he spoke that way, because she did agree with some of what he had to say even though she would openly deny it if he ever asked her. "Then you understand full and well there is no light without darkness? If you didn't, you wouldn't have told me about yourself. You finally understand the separation between you and me now that you've finally admitted that you know nothing about how I've suffered in misery. To be honest, I'm somewhat impressed that you changed your approach. Perhaps you're not as naive as I thought you were. But I still think you're a fool to get involved with me though if you make this choice you best be willing to see it through to the end. Despite all those words I said to you yet you are still willing to help me? You really are an imbecile, aren't you? I guess there's no point in telling you to get the point since it's obvious that maybe there is some underlining truth to your first statement. I still hate you and everything you stand for. That will not change unless you can show me that you are different. Knowing that are you willing to shoulder the burden of my hatred toward you in an attempt to show me that you truly want to see things from my perspective? Remember, I will not forgive you if you abandon me, just remember that and if I find out you didn't mean those words I'll make you sorely regret you ever said them to me. I'm still not sure whether I should trust you or not. I will let you at least come closer to me. But hands off." She reminded him as she wasn't about to let him get too close to her. His words did have significant meaning to them and she could relate, but it still annoyed her though she had to keep it under control. There were students in the room and causing trouble would land her straight in the principal's office. Not to mention the scolding she'd get from her brother later on for getting careless and reckless.

"I'll let you at least walk me back to my dorm but that is it. I will see for myself whether you are different or the same as the other boys. Do not try to convince me with words. If you really mean what you said then let your actions speak louder than words." Tsukiko decided to lighten up her cold demeanor slightly though she still had a very cold look on her face which wasn't going to go away anytime soon. The girl had gone through so much that it was hard to put all of it in just one conversation. So, he had problem with his parents too? Though I only had problems with my father... She thought to herself as she placed her index finger onto her lip pondering her thoughts. The only reason she was being more reasonable though is she remembered what Ben had told her earlier. She didn't know exactly what he meant by what he all said, but she did know that he was someone who was appreciating her for an individual and not the fact she was the opposite sex which is why he gained her respect immediately. She couldn't do the same with Angelo, because she still had her doubts about him that he would try to empathize with her, because there was the thought he could go back and try to hit on her again which bothered her. She decided she was going to head back to her dorm and despite the scary icy gaze on her face that froze quite a few boys in the room if they got too close she would at least invite him because maybe he was worth her time. "I'm heading back to my dorm. You are welcome to accompany if you want. I don't care either way, but my mother always told me I should give those who show compassion for others a chance. I suppose I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now. Don't take me for granted, dammit! I can change my mind in the blink of an idea so just keep that in mind." Impressively Angelo managed to finally calm the ice queen down and purge the exploding darkness that was almost to spill out of her heart. Her mind was captured by shadows where it was caught in a paradox of solitude since that is the only life she knew after the death of her mother. He managed to break her free of her suspicion and cautious approach which repelled most people away from her and lower her shield slightly so he could understand her better. But this was just a minuscule accomplishment because it would take more than just that to bring the light within her heart back to the surface where she might enjoy herself and smile once again acting like any other normal girl.

Camryn had finished wandering the halls, and was now in her room, lying on her bed. She hadn't really found much of anything interesting; she had gone by the pool initially, but after hearing what sounded like a lover's spat she decided not to interfere. Lord knows that girl needs enough help as it is, she doesn't need me arriving in the middle of that spat with her... boyfriend, probably. She had debated going by the card shop again, but figured it wasn't worth it; Gear Gigant X could wait until she had more points to burn. Plus she didn't even know what pack is was in, anyway. The rest of her trip had just been walking around the school. It had been kinda fun, seeing the place when it wasn't filled with people, but it was kinda creepy, too; Camryn had heard what she was certain was breathing from a darkened classroom she had passed by, even though nobody was in there when she checked. It had spooked her so badly she power-walked all the way back to her dorm room.

After Camryn's impromptu mental review of her little excursion, she yawned hugely and checked the time on her Transceiver. "Christ, is it that late already? Uahh, no wonder I'm so tired. Right, off to bed with me!" She proceeded to go through her whole evening routine, and in just a few minutes, she was in bed with the lights off, staring out her window at the night sky and waiting for sleep to take her.

When he finished talking about his uncle to her she started to talk about he was finally understanding her she started to believe that he was trying to help her. She was impressed with Angelo and that was nice so it meant he was finally making some progress. "Im always willing to help. that's just me" Angelo said as he listened to her and she said that she wont forgive Angelo if he ever abandons her "Then I just wont abandon you." Angelo said with a smile since he wouldn't abandon a friend even if she only saw him as an acquaintance it was better then being seen as an enemy to her. Despite how she was ready to rip his head off less then a minute ago he didn't want to give up on her.

After that she said that she wanted Angelo to show her with actions rather then words which honestly makes sense after all Angelo could talk about he was different till the cows come home but the fact was that he had to prove it but Angelo didn't know what would do that. He didn't know what kind of situation that would come up where he would prove that she had priority to him. Then she surprised Angelo by saying that she wouldn't mind if he walked her back to her dorm and not to take her for granted. If Angelo didn't know better he would have started to think that she liked Angelo, in all honesty she was attractive but Angelo wasn't sure if he liked her that way or not after all in the blink of an eye she was ready to hit Angelo. "I think I will accompany you to your dorm. The least I can do for making you so mad" Angelo said hoping she didn't take it the wrong way because he couldn't let this end this way he had to try and make sure this ended on at least a good note...

When he said he is always willing to become helpful; Tsukiko gave him one of those doubtful looks, because she knew as long as it was the opposite sex he would be willing to help. Of course her brother is male so he would never try to help him. She wasn't at all fooled by that statement he made, because he didn't want to hear about her brother, because he was male is what she thought in head. Though knowing her brother and how he didn't like to be around people she doubted he would want to talk to him either when he called him a peon earlier today during Action Duel class.

A long sigh came out of her mouth when he said he wouldn't abandon her after she had told him that she wouldn't forgive him if he got engaged with her and didn't see it through to the end. The foolish statement he made just a moment ago almost wanted to make her facepalm, because it looked like he didn't remember the conditions to her agreement. It was true, she was going to hold Angelo to every single word he made toward her as he was making her promises which when you broke with her all hell would break lose. Just ask her brother who has seen the fierce and dangerous nature of that girl. He would also tell you when she gets dangerous she isn't pretty at all. Some of that was seen when he blew her off during one of Haas duels and she made him pay for it by forcing him to succumb to her needs. There was no mercy shown when she stomped on his foot repeatedly though Angelo probably wasn't there when she did it. Though strange she chose out of the blue not particularly caring much about him though she did try to pretend to get along with him just to get back at her brother.

Tsukiko shook her head in disbelief when he actually believed that she liked him in the way he was thinking. He was not only a fool, but an idiot to boot to think she would ever see him like that. His smooth talking she found very annoying earlier hitherto demeaning since it not only made her feel uncomfortable, but made him come off as a condescending sexist. Only a fool would think a demon girl like her would be flattered by mere charm. Which is certainly what he was earlier and the only reason she was laughing at him earlier, because he was being as goofy as Haas as she thought he might just be as dumb too. Well... maybe not since she knew Haas had not won a single one of his duels yet. Every duel he had participated in had resulted in a loss and to lose to a dimwit like Cassie who she couldn't stand, because she reminded her of one of those angry fans at ballgames that always tried to troll on everyone else's emotions.

Before Tsukiko left with Angelo to return to her dorm she at least put her shorts back on so she wouldn't get cat calls toward the perverted males who made up a small quantity of the academy. She decided she would leave her blouse off, because she was just going to change out of it anyway when she got back to her room. She was extremely disappointed she didn't get one chance to go swimming as it was a chance to relax her spirit which was exhausted from Michelle's duel earlier. One which she didn't want to talk about either and hopefully Angelo wouldn't dare ask her something like that unless he wanted to get whacked with her fan for being a pest. The entire time Tsukiko said hardly a word which was not uncommon. The girl didn't really talk much when she was like how she was right now and probably now that people saw the true side of her it just might be a better idea to remain the way she was instead of pretend. She could thank Angelo for that since he annoyed her enough to bring out that tsundere side of her which she masked under a fake personality she created so she could at least accomplish what she needed to. Thanks a lot, Angelo. Now I can't go back to how I was otherwise people will think I'm a raving lunatic. Not to disagree that I looked like one a moment ago, but they will know that I was faking that whole bit. Dammit, this sucks... Now I'm going to have boys horde me, because I don't want them to be around me. That idiot Hayato could have saved me from this humiliation too. Oh well, naught I can do now, but accept what has happened. She thought to herself as she tried to distract herself from saying really anything toward Angelo as she started to walk in the direction of the elevator.

"What a long day... glad it's over with... Now I can soak in the shower and reflect on what happened though I would like to forget about what just happened a moment..." She was about to finish that statement when she was mumbling toward herself as she pushed the button to wait for the elevator to open. She wasn't sure if Angelo was beside her or not since she wasn't paying much attention. She was hoping the next day he would be bothering Ethel again rather than her. She had enough to deal with than having another boy acquaintance trying to see what she was up to. Besides, didn't he like that girl? Or did he just have some infatuation for girls who were tsundere? On the wall her eyes caught interest to a fantastic art piece which she adored. She smiled brightly and laughed as she enjoyed seeing the piece. She remembered her family owned pieces like that. Particularly her mother who adored any art that was well crafted and this one was no exception. "Pretty... This piece brings back so many fond memories. It's so beautiful that it inspires my mind." She said as she stroked the picture though couldn't touch the actual thing since it was behind glass to protect it which was good since she wouldn't want to see something so magnificent get ruined.

Dark as a raven that streak across the moonlit sky during the night over the shimmering waters that flow through the river gently. The thought of that beautiful phrase brought light to her face where she smiled just gently for a moment at the thought where she saw a picture of what she thought on the wall and hoped Angelo did not catch glimpse of her smiling like that or laughing a moment ago. She didn't want to give him any indication that she ever smiled since he would probably attempt something really stupid that would annoy her anyway. "Such a gallant and picturesque moment which demonstrates such a beautiful aura in the architecture of artistry. I wish I saw more elegant pictures that are atmospheric as this one." While she waited for the elevator to arrive she enjoyed the artwork of the picture she saw on the wall. One thing she couldn't resist was beautiful scenery and another was fantastic artwork by a renown and brilliant artist. She wish she knew the name of the person who made this masterpiece as she would want to meet him someday. The scenery in the picture captured her heart and eased her mind soothing the tense darkness that ran rampantly inside her heart. The girl's heart wasn't completely darkness and those smiles and laughs were authentic. There was radiance in all of them as the girl's light started to show in her heart. Too bad she didn't show this side all the time. But when she did she looked almost like an angel that that was heaven sent.

The elevator dinged as it finally had reached her floor and the doors opened wide letting her into the small space it had to offer as it would take her straight to her dorm. She had returned back to normal where her cold look returned to her face and the gloomy gaze in her eyes which screamed agony from the sadness she felt. Even one thousand sunshines wouldn't rectify the suffering she felt and erase the despair that was deep within her soul which devoured the light that shone toward her happiness leaving her only the rainy nights of loneliness. "You were looking weren't you? I expect you to forget what you saw. I just like artwork so don't get any ideas." Tsukiko said coldly toward Angelo reaching behind her gripping her fan as she pressed the button to take it down toward the Earth dorms so she could return to her room and head to bed. She wanted to see her brother about something, but decided it could wait until tomorrow. Tsukiko was keeping an eye on Angelo closely in case he tried any ideas if he saw her like she was a moment ago. It was true that she didn't want Angelo to remember what he just saw a moment ago if he did indeed just see her like she was when she was adoring that picture she saw on the wall. She kept her eyes focused on him though she would listen to anything he would say while the elevator was taking her toward the floor toward her dorms.

Hayato arrived at his desk and looked at his luxury item request sheet and started to think about what to request "I don't know if they will allow this but i guess I'll have to try" Hayato thought to himself as he put in Bokken into the request sheet "I can't allow myself to get rusty after all... Maybe I'll find a sparring partner... it is a duel tower so i doubt it..." Hayato concluded but didn't scratch it off his list as he wouldn't want to be seen without one for too long and noted "A copy of Dungeon Dice Monsters" as his last item, He has a copy of it at home after all "Maybe I won't find a opponent but hey it'll be a little bit more like home if i have it around" Hayato laughed at the idea of finding someone to play against.

Hayato shortly after sorting out everything decided to take off his dorm clothing and simply put on his Black T-Shirt again and his jacket wondering where Hayate could be "I should ask around for a bit... Hayate wouldn't hang round a bastard like Shinrei that long... right?" Hayato thought to himself walking around the dorm area's asking where she could be most of the answers being "Haven't seen her and got shrugged off there was a person who said he told someone who was carrying someone who looked like her to go to the old building but even if Hayato wanted to go there it was far too dangerous to go there without his bokken otherwise he could fight off some of the wild animals "thanks for telling me anyways... have a good night" Hayato said to the student and scratched his head "I sure hope Shinrei knows what he is doing there..." Hayato thought to himself grabbing his D-Ciever mostly looking at his friend list "Leander is my first friend in the friend list huh... i feel like it should be Hayate instead" Hayato put that thought into his head and walked back to his room and looked for something in his pocket just to find out that it isn't there "hmm? did i put it in my other pocket then...?" Hayato thought to himself as he started to search his left pocket which was empty and remembered he emptied his left pocket when he handed the locket he found to Tsukiko "That will have to wait until tomorrow... i'm not in the mood... Hayato concluded his search and walked back to his room to have a early night

Hayate looked at Shinrei "Hey were you listening..." Hayate said to Shinrei as he noticed him space out a few times and suddenly decided to slap the man in front of her "are you there?" Hayate asked as she had gone back to rambling about how strong Blue-eyes is compared to everything else and snapped her fingers "I know! You hungry right? Hayate said grabbing her bag "If your hungry you should say so Shinrei!" Hayate said with a rather concerned voice pulling out one of her homemade lunches mostly containing food that are easy to preserve in hot locations"It's a bit late for lunch... but if you don't eat often you'll get sick you know!" Hayate said to Shinrei almost scolding him even though she doesn't know for sure if he was hungry or not but noticed how late it was getting "You should show me the way back when your done eating... It's fine if you don't finish the food but you should at least eat something..." Hayate said looking up at the sky and its stars commenting about how wonderful the sky could be also suggesting that she would even suggesting she would blindfold herself to keep her from visiting Shinrei

Whatever people were doing, it'd have to come to an end soon enough. Beeping could be heard from bags, pockets or even hands depending on where everyone kept their D-Ceever. On it flashed the announcement to go grab dinner, which some had promptly ignored and instead settled to sleep. The thing itself was uneventful, having a basic hot meal with no exceptional qualities about it. Whenever that was finished, THEN it was actually time to go to bed. Students poured down the hallway to their dorms. Some took a shower before going to bed, and others just crashed and fell asleep. It seemed the luxuries people had ordered for weren't there, except for Maisy's Jack Atlas body pillow... For one reason or another. Night went by peacefully, though a few footsteps could be heard. Most likely they were of security personnel.

Day Three.

The next morning was announced with something that some students had already come to dread. "EVERYBODY GET UP!!" rang loud and clear, blasting off the ears of most students. Even Akemi had to suffer through it again, if she'd do a double take she'd notice her speaker having been fixed already. It seems escaping that wasn't much of an option. A routine message for students to come get breakfast was sent out, and some had to get up grouchily. Surprisingly, though, a few choice students would have a message on their new D-Ceiver. More specifically, every first year that took the Turbo Dueling course. The message was long, official and utterly boring. Though one thing was of note: The subject. Apparently, they'd have to take manual riding lessons for the entire day. This would happen every week on the same day, where the entire day was spent on Turbo Dueling Lessons.

Breakfast itself was at least different from the past two days. Various cereals and cornflakes were on offer today, each in a huge tank. You could open the 'Valve' so to speak to have whatever you wished for pour out in a bowl. A line was given so you could pick up a bowl and spoon, and whatever you wanted to eat was up to you. Those who couldn't handle any of the flavors due to medical reason could order something else by talking to the Cafeteria staff. At the end were various types of milk to fill the bowl with, and a few other non-soda drinks for those who deemed necessary. And like, three tanks of coffee after the previous day showed only one gets torn through in less than twenty minutes.

The students had a bit of time to grab a bite and socialize, though it wouldn't take very long for the D-Ceivers to receive class schedules.

Haas had pretty much planted face first into bed as soon as he'd arrived back at the dorms, and as such, rolled straight the heck out when Melchior's pleasant voice rang in his ears. "Ow, Ow, Ow..." Haas rubbed his neck after the contact with the floor, looking around dazed. He was awake, sure, but not completely. Haas looked down to see he hadn't changed out of his uniform, mentally facepalming when realizing he forgot to take it off. "Ah, damn... I can't wear this now..." Haas muttered, then sighed. He jumped on over to the closet and took a second uniform, then a few things to shower. The guy locked himself up for a bit, but didn't spend too long on the shower.

After drying and dressing himself, as well as put away the shower gear, Haas locked up and made their way to the cafeteria. It was pretty crowded, but he took a simple bowl of honey-sprinkled flakes mixed with some standard ones to lessen the taste just a little. The bowls weren't amazingly large, but large enough to fill the average stomach. Not really any people the guy knew were around, which was a little disheartening. Has just took a seat at one of the empty round tables, keeping an eye out for people whilst eating.

Ethel was sleeping peacefully with plushy in tow, that was, until Melchior broke that peaceful sleep. She groaned upon waking up, feeling groggy after the not so subtle wake-up call. The bluenette took a look around her room, noticing the beeps of her D-Ceiver in the corner. "...Ugh." she complained, throwing her legs over the side of her bed to check it. With a quick swipe of the thumb, the screen lit up with the new message. And entire day of Turbo Dueling... Looks like the girl had her work cut out for her. Ethel turned it back to sleep, then walked over to the closet to take her clothes. She took out her first hoodie again, feeling like needing something easy to switch out in case there'd be riding suits. After a quick shower and some applied makeup, Ethel went off. She walked a little slower intentionally once getting inside the main hall of the dorms, wondering if someone of note was going to pass by...
