Somewhere amid the noise and haste of the packed auditorium, a purple-haired girl stood in a silent observation. Matching eyes scanned over the droves of new students as they huddled had massed together. Their bearer held herself with a casual and discrete presence, practically unnoticed by passerby beyond the passing glance. Not a single person that passed was missed by these eyes; nor did their owner dismiss them as they did. Occasionally stirring to flip her purple-hued hair out of her eyes’ ways, Zena Levinia stood in solemn, ritual scrutiny of her soon-to-be classmates. Each face was committed to memory with little fault. Every weapon that she could make out, however mundane they seemed, were analyzed to the best of her ability. With as much effort, she endeavored to take in as much of the otherwise ambient chorus for the conversations as possible, hoping to glean some understanding of Semblances and other attributes. She broke away from her calculating only when the instructors made their entrances. “Hmmm…” was all the noise that escaped her, a nod of approval at the sight of Yang Xiao Long’s lively entrance. So the legend returns,” she thought. “This will be more interesting than father said.” Casting the stray thought of home aside, she glanced at the massive screen overlooking the auditorium. Upon it, the faces of the new teams of Beacon displayed as they were announced. “So, Team JAKZ? And I’m answerable to this Johnny fellow.” Her eyes cut through the clusters of other students as they departed, catching at least glimpses of her new teammates. “Alright.” She nodded in approval. Deciding that she’d best not be late, she hurried to her assigned dorm. Pulling the door open, she entered the room to find that two members, leader included, were already making themselves comfortable. “I see most of us are already here.”
