Well we lost Robin Williams, David Bowie, Alan Rickman and Lenard Nimoy among others. I mean the fan made and produced Star Trek films are more original, interesting and well written and performed than the actual cannon ones. 

Anyone seen Star Trek: Of Gods and Men? That was well done unlike Into Darkness, only good thing about that movie was Benedict Cumberbatch.
