I dunno about you guys, but I believe that there is no such thing as absolute originality. Unless you're capable to churning out something out of completely nothing, even the most talented writers have to get their inspirations from something/somewhere/someone that are [i]already in existence[/i].

Also, there are things called "common sense", "social norm", "humanity" etc. that are the cage to our creativity - in which many people have tried to break them, but we still continue to live our lives within the walls of these rules.
