It's how she'll introduce herself even though her parents and teachers will still use Corrine. The Ghost of Caelbury: only behind her back. A stab at not only her eerie appearance but the vain filled shell of a human being that she seems to be. She's aware of it, but tries to ignore it. Queen of Caelbury: Some use it bitterly, some ironically, some are just telling it like it is. Unlike the ghost title, she finds it flattering. Still, she ignores it and she's not 100% how she would react to hearing it said to her face.
Age
17
Gender
Female
Sexual Orientation
Heterosexual
Grade Level
Senior
Social Class
Wealthy: her great grandfather on her father's side was just kinda lucky. He invested into stocks for a home and furniture company. When they won big, he won big--and then used his money to start his own home and furniture company. Wood® Furniture and Interior Design grew so large and so fast, in fact, that it was able to buy out the company Great Grandpa Woods had initially invested stocks in by the time Grandpa Woods was born. Now, Wood® products--not always made of wood anymore--are the go to brand of anybody who's anybody.
Appearance
Slightly above average height for a woman and thin and boy-ish in body shape, Cori could be mistaken for a model if her pigmentation wasn't so atypical. If she's outside during the day, she's wearing sunglasses--not only do they protect her sensitive eyes, they hide the strange violet from public. Also, eyes affected by albinism don't always work as well as normally pigmented eyes: Cori's are no exception. Although rare, she'll wear glasses when she's lazing around the house, but she usually wears contacts to correct her vision. She wears her white hair down, typically at her shoulders with bangs over her eyebrows. She stands at 5'7", but appears taller since she wears heals and weighs in at about 120 lbs. She carries her height and weight with a proud gait--head up, shoulders back, and a serious scowl on her lips. She tends to wear square necklines that pull attention to her shoulders and beautiful jewelry around her neck and wrists, emphasizing her status and sense of fashion. She tends to wear whites and pastels. So long as it seems like she knows what she's doing, she pretty much knows what she's doing. Needless to say, when she's unsure about something, she'll take a chance and give her thoughts in an attempt have some control over what's going on. She doesn't like looking weak or unintelligent in front of other people and enjoys considering herself independent. She comes off as very serious to most people and generally humorless; she tends to carry herself as if she's better than most people. This gives her an air of arrogance and intimidation that is backed by a sharp tongue at people who irritate her. Despite her bad attitude, she's very caring and generous to the people around her. If you need help, she won't hesitate to offer a hand even if she comes off as reluctant to do so. She at the very least knows right from wrong, but tends to give into class and society viewpoints, preferring to stick to the status quo than vouch for underdogs. All this creates a queen bee, very uninterested in screwing up her social life in her senior year. She engages in it anyway, as it's what she's supposed to do.
People: she can sometimes deal with them, but her patience runs thin quicker the less impressive you are in terms of status
The way she looks: she's fine with her body, but the way she stands out next to others makes her self conscious. She would prefer not to stand out.
The middle class normies who decided to attend the school. Scholarships are cute, but she and he family were under the impression that the school were elites--not commoners.

Fears
Cori has a phobia of heights, but closer to her heart is the fear of failure. The pressure of being an only child is great enough, but peers and teachers alike are also sources of stress. She struggles to meet expectations set by others and will set higher goals if she deems the given task too "easy."

*shows up 20 minutes late with Starbucks*
Strengths

Budding leadership skills
Social skills and the connections to get what she wants
Organization: with just a thread, she always finds a way to balance anything life throws at her
Academically, she excels in mathematics.

Weaknesses

Low self esteem despite outwards confidence, leading to hesitation and a thin shell as far as her feelings go
Defensive: her fight or flight response tends to be "fight" so she can easily make a bad situation worse
Hopeless romantic: easily charmed by a handsome pair of eyes, and the badder the boy, the more tempted she is
Immature and sheltered. For all her wealth and opportunities and academic knowledge, Cori is still learning how the world works.

History
Corrine Elizabeth was born the first and only daughter to the Woods family, known for the dominance in the interior design and products industry. Her parents--the renowned Quincy Woods and former model Jennifer LeDuc--did not exactly expect such a pale, purple-eyed creature and were mostly ignorant to the pigment disorder until Corrine came along. They learned what they could, of course, and Jennifer pushed her daughter into wearing makeup relatively early. "You need some color, let's darken your eyelashes, a pretty pink for your lips," are criticisms the young girl got a lot. Still, she was never bullied even though she attended public school before attending Caelbury Academy (and perhaps it was because of her mother's attention). So she grew to enjoy school life; outside of public school, she was enrolled in other classes, as well. Partly because they wanted their daughter to live a life rich with music and culture, and partly because Quincy and Jennifer had so little time to actually spend with her. So Corrine was always buried in schoolwork or piano classes or French classes or art classes. Despite all these, she never really had any close friends, and tended to focus on bettering herself than the others around her. Until there was a boy, anyway. She started high school--still in public school--and he was a couple years older. He made her feel special and loved--and beautiful--and dating an older boy of course earned brownie points as far as popularity went. He was the first to call her Cori. However, he and his family were by the Woods' standards, skeezy. Neither Quincy nor Jennifer approved much and they knew the tabloids wouldn't either. So, the Woods packed up and left at the end of Cori's freshman year. For sophomore year, she was enrolled into Caelbury Academy. At the time, she was heartbroken. The move had awakened a demanding brat that her parents could only calm with gifts and money. And, after enough clothes and makeup and new cars, Cori found the strength to get over her lost love. She grew content with Caelbury Academy and found the crowd much more relatable than the drivel at public school.
Favorite memory
Piano recital, she was 12 years old. Both mother and father were there to watch her and she didn't catch either of them on their phone once. She doesn't remember how well she did, but she remembers the beautiful opalescent dress she wore and the pride in her parents' faces.
Least favorite memory
Less because of the fear and more because the whole story is humiliating: he "ran away" the summer her family moved to a fair. When her parents figured out where she was, they called her and told her that her mother would be there to pick her up. So she got into the ferris wheel--and got stuck at the top. When they finally got her down, she was a blubbering mess. She isn't exactly the richest in the class, but Cori can admire her talent in skating and her fashion sense. The girl fits in better than some of the wealthier students in all honesty, and Cori feels like she can call her a friend.

Sylvester Black
"Don't let the peg leg fool you. She finds it easy to look past his limp when she looks like a ghost, too, so she feels comfortable simply talking to the guy. Considers him a friend or at least worthy peer.

Sterling Archer Rochester
"Wow."
There are very few people who give Cori butterflies and Sterling is one of them. He's tall, gorgeous, well-mannered, wealthy. 100% what she wants in a man. But, she finds herself at a loss for words in his presence. All she can do it is play it cool and hope she doesn't look like a total idiot in front of him.

Frederick Conway
"So few guys care about what they wear. He's refreshing."
She admires few male students in their ability to dress themselves, but Fred is one of them. She enjoys his company as well: he's easygoing and doesn't do much to complain about. However, it's painfully obvious when he's in a "mood" and it's hard for her to enjoy somber company.

Nathan Glass
"The guy's kinda sketchy if you ask me."
Cori and Nathan are just similar and perfectly different enough for there to be tension between them. She's not mean to the guy and can respect him some ways--his sense of fashion, his confidence. However, she's curt and short with him.

Albert Nolan
"Ugh, what an asshole!"
Cori will accept Al as an academic student of Caelbury when he starts acting like it. His obnoxious frat boy routine is-- well, honestly, Cori kinda enjoys it. The cocky attitude, the lack of fucks to give, that jawline. But she can't admit that. So she rolls her eyes and stays out of his way. He might be in her class, but she is far out of his league.

Sebastian Gable
"He kinda...just does his own thing?"
Despite considering him an equal in status, Sebastian is kinda...not all there in her opinion. And if you aren't careful, he's violent. Knows exactly what she wants and she won't hesitate to get it."
A rare exception to her apathy toward underclassmen. Cori couldn't have some commoner taking over the throne she was building come sophomore year, so she cozied up to Julia. Confident, rich, beautiful: a perfect heir to the Caelbury throne. However, her fire burns much hotter than Cori's cold shoulder, and she'll be able to stir a lot more interest as a senior, Cori is sure.

Finnegan Alexander
"I don't really know the guy."
A tall and cute underclassman, but his sense of "style" and unrecognizable name makes him irrelevant to Cori.

Maria Cassidy
"Who?"
Some artsy-farsty junior commoner is a little below Cori's notice. At least, as far as Cori is concerned, but it is a small school meant for elites, so ironically the girl's plain face and...style stands out as at least recognizable. As long as Maria stays out of Cori's way, everything should be just peachy.

Bellamy Hart
"Ugh, here we go."
A preppy little junior commoner should be beneath Cori's notice but this girl shines like the freaking sun. In comparison, Cori is a dark storm cloud trying to dull the light a bit, but the girl just hasn't learned her place.
