Richard was just starting to relax when his roommate showed up. To be clear, he didn't necessarily hold any ill will towards this guy, but he was hoping for the possibility of a single room for once, roommates never seemed to end well for him, not once they saw him magic anyway. To most people, Richard was seen as a bit of a freak, and some were even scared of him, not because his magic was necessarily powerful, but instead because it felt dark. It wasn't really a healing magic, it could never get rid of a wound only give it to somebody else. Sitting up, Richard leaned his back against the wall and put on his best friendly face as he bored down at him. "Hey there," He drawled a bit, "Name's Richard Dowel, Year 5 Warlock, 16." He told him, and paused for a second, "Medela, but do me a favor and have the nurse patch you up when you get hurt." He said, hoping it would come across as a joke. He slid down and extended his hand out to shake his, "Nice to meet you." He said, and then looked him over, "So, What's your brand of magic like?" He asked. He knew he'd have to tell him about his own eventually, and it's never done well for him to try to hide it. "I always thought Naturalis was one of the more interesting branches of Magic, Cooler than shooting fireballs or taking to ghosts anyway." He commented.
