In the year 2126, on the 350th anniversary of the US's own Declaration of Independence, Mars sent its own declaration to the UN which the countries that had settled it had made it a part of.  The UN responded by cutting off all shipments between the Earth/Luna system and Mars.  With the help of smugglers, who risked their lives to bring new settlers to Mars and bring Martian minerals and goods to market on Earth and Luna, Mars was able to stabilize as a new, Independent world.

The governments of Earth, who were counting on Martian minerals which were cheap due to regulations to boost their weakening economies had one last idea how to boost their economy.  They would retake Mars and bring it in line, for the good of humanity as a whole.  The people of Mars, however, wouldn't lets themselves, their freedom, and their new society fall, metaphorically, to the sword of a distant monarch.

The various security agencies on Mars decided to come together and work together to find a way to fight the overwhelming might of the UN.  Their solution was simple, they would hire privateers.  These pirates would agree to fight on Mar's behalf, attacking enemy targets and keeping all that they managed to seize for themselves.  The security agencies, in return, would purchase anything extra that the privateers seized but didn't need and, for a fee, would let them use the security agency's facilities whenever they needed them.

That was just over a years ago, and the war is beginning to turn in Mar's favor thanks to the efforts of the privateers.  A lone, battered ship with painted over UN markings slowly makes its way towards Deimos Station, a base built into a moon of Mars. It serves as a base for smugglers, traders, asteroid miners, and privateers.  If any place will have the crew he needs, the ship's captain figures, it will be Deimos.

Now I just need a crew to help me out, and that means anyone out there that's interested.  True, I don't have a lot of money, but with strength and determination, I'm sure we can make it.

Why do you want to join?  (Privateering is a dangerous job.  If you're just in it for the money, that's fine.  I can always use a good mercenary.  But if not I'd like to know about your motivations.)

Equipment: (We have UN standard issue Carbon fiber armor and laser/rail guns, as well as other equipment if you don't have any, but, as custom, or even generic Mar built goods tend to perform better then the generic UN stuff, it would be good to know if you can supply anything useful for your own use.)
