So, during my hiatus, I've had a lot of time to procrastinate, and during my deep and profound procrastinations, I've had a lot of time to think, so I did.
What I propose is a game in which we build a world to roleplay in, (big locations and lore in the distance, or perhaps towns and dungeons wherever they become relevant.) we all GM our party(ies) on quests and plot arcs of our own design. There will be badass, there will be adventure, there will be money, and bodily fluids of most every kind!
The thing, though, is that this world, no matter what we may put in it, is all fantasy genres combined. The likes of King Arthur will fight alongside the likes of Wong Fei Hung. Pirate villains will do battle with Furusiya heroes. Skalds and Ronin alike will do battle with dragons, youkai, and eldritch monsters. This is a place where all worlds collide, which, I suppose would be the appeal, as opposed to a normal sandbox where a streamlined sort of single-genre world seems to be the unspoken rule, eclecticism is encouraged. High magic and low-renaissance technology is where it's at.
Who's interested in this?
