ur listening to a serious sad song on spotify and I Ejaculate Fire comes on right after it.

Anyway, anyone got any movie or tv shows recs, it doesn't have to be on Netflix, but this would be preferred. Genre doesn't matter tbh

Watch the Ken Burns docs. Those are pretty good. I've been using them as back-ground noise to sleep by.

Dunno if you're into anime or not but I've been rewatching Black Lagoon on Netflix recently. Good shit. It's about modern day pirates and the mafia, for want of a better description. Completely ridiculous and over the top.

Fargo (and the movie as well) are already on the list.
By Utopia are you talking about the UK series about the comic? I've seen it but I never finished it, I'll rewatch it.
Orphan Black doesn't really interest me but I'll watch it anyway.

Orphan Black might not have the most original plot, but what wins it for most(myself included) is the portrayal of the clones by the great, and quite underrated as well as underappreciated, Tatiana Maslany.

Also, not sure if it's your thing or if you already seen it, but Breaking Bad. Truly one of the best shows of the 2000s decade.

Yeah the UK series, I think I remember it starting a little slow but the hilarious deaths got me through to finding plot and characters to really like. It has some really impressive twists in both seasons.

Deutschland 83 is not on Netflix, but worth looking for right now too. Whether you like it or not depends on whether or not you like scenes where a character might get caught at any second. It has a lot of them but they're well executed, especially as each one he gets better at it but at the same time his luck seems to be running out. The character arcs are also shaping up to be strong.

This may well be the shittiest in a long list of shitty opinions I hold, but:
Breaking Bad < Better Call Saul

Season 4 was excellent, so much so that season 5 suffered by comparison and tainted my overall impression of the show. But, yeah, I'm aware it's a shitty opinion and Breaking Bad is objectively better, but Better Call Saul has a sense of humour and a tone that I find preferable. Except for the guys with roller skates, they were a serious misstep. If it was just against season 4 of Breaking Bad I'd watch Breaking Bad in a heartbeat, but for the whole show I'd prefer Better Call Saul.
