So I believe the question of the amount of starters were asked. I don't believe there should be a limit if your Pokemon fit into your background. It's just that through this journey you can catch more Pokemon to join your team too. You don't have to be a brand new trainer, you just have to be a trainer who is fresh and new to Kalos if that makes sense.

Right now you can put a Kalos starter on your team, but it again has to fit in with your background. Or you can just wait until we start the IC to obtain your starter.
