Name: Victoria Hemmingway
Known on the seas as: Vic the Succubus
Age: Although she stopped keeping track, she’d be roughly 27
Title: Captain of her ship, The Black Star
Appearance:
Brunette hair, often worn under her hat. Slim, athletic build. She sported a simple overcoat normally only for battle. Besides her hat, she matched her crew: breeches to the knee with stockings to secure them, a loosely fitted white linen shirt, and a scarf belt. She didn’t believe in the way of her predecessors, that they had to distinguish themselves from the rest of the crew through fancy attire. She did, however, display a few rings she had stolen on her fingers.
Personality: Life on the sea had hardened Vic. She had killed more than she can count, and she watched her men get impaled in bludgeoned with no second thought from their murderer. Although she had a definite sense of humor, Vic usually remained stone cold in her demeanor. Her best friend on board, Darrel, was the one she spent her time with on their off days.
History: Before Vic found the sea as her home, she lived in England with her single mother and three younger sisters. After her father died, her mother turned to working the streets in order to make a living, often leaving Vic responsible for the little ones. After years of being the acting mother of the family, she had enough and packed her bags. Not having a plan or knowing where to go, she saw a ship with black sails at a dock in her city and instantly felt like that was where she belonged. She signed up to be a crew hand. 5 years later, Vic had worked her way up in the rankings and became the captain’s right hand. She earned the name “The Succubus” as she’d often use her sex appeal to either get information or to keep herself from getting killed, but end up killing the men after she got what she needed. Once her captain had passed and she took his position, she and her crew began sailing wherever they could in a money hungry quest. They were thieves. Criminals. Murderers. And Vic couldn’t get enough; her hunger for blood almost matched her hunger for wealth.
