Just below the calm, homely surface is always a darker side. Perhaps not all of the townspeople know of it, but it’s always there. In the buildings. In the trees. In the soil itself. It waits for the right time to rear its head, but it will, in time. I can promise you that much – you will See it, and when you do, you’ll suddenly be a great deal more interested in the town's history. Of course, you won’t See it right away. You’ll hear of it first, Warnings not to go out in the rain, or snow, without protection. The stories in the figures in bright red hoods. The stories of massacres and the phantoms that lurk under the shadows of the rainfall, wraiths with broken bodies, wailing in pain and begging for death.
Many of the townspeople have gone and vanished out of thin air, leaving a lingering shadow creeping further into town. The scattered inhabitants carry on living a normal life, ignoring the malicious writhing evil on their doorsteps. You, fair roleplayer will be one of these people, be it a traveler, tourist or townsfolk.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Welcome to Glen's Cove!
What is Glen's Cove? Glen's Cove is a roleplay that is inspired from the game Deadly Premonition and the Television show Twin Peaks. I seek to create a hub for roleplayers interested in mystery and intrigue in a setting that is both - well, mysterious and intriguing. Below are several locations which are whereabouts to do specific actions, e.g: "Malcolm visits the Do or Dine! diner, he sighs as he sits down in a booth." I like to think of this weird little roleplay as a twist on tomodachi life :P, there are locations set and characters that will interact in them and the characters set in that location.
--- Location and Settings Glen's Cove is a town that lies in between the Greenvale Forest Park and the Mayberry lake. The town is named so, because it is home to the GlenFord Cove. Glen's Cove is in Washington and is a very small, quaint, but rather charming little town.
Do or Dine! - (Local Diner)
Owned and managed by Randy Fitzberg, he is a very creative and practical guy, he is very people oriented and can bring out the best in other people, but is quite self critical sometimes. This little diner serves as the primary place for people to meet and to eat (Not to meet and eat people)!
A Salt and Battery - (English style Chip-Shop)
Owned run by Phillipa Greene, she lacks any realistic goals and because of this, she is lazy and drinks alcohol most of the time. She is rather outgoing and is able to inspire and motivate others. The little Chip Shop acts like a little fast food joint, perfect for having a quick bite or stuffing your face in with greasy food!
The Drunken Ducks - (English style Pub)
Owned and run by Thomas and Fischer Smith, these twins are both easily insightful, ambitious and love to be the center of attention. They are also both quite poor at being practical and sometimes lack empathy. This little English style pub is a great place to have a few pints of lager and to play darts or pool with a friend or two!
Phillip's FillUps - (Gas Station)
Owned and run by Phillip Greene, he is Phillipa Greene's brother and is usually quite overly dramatic and very eccentric, he is rather fussy and sometimes requires time alone. This little gas station has the friendliest service and is great to buy stuff on the go!
Market Ba$ket - (Grocery store)
Owned and run by Rajeev Chopra, he is very quiet and occasionally likes to engage in small talk with his customers. He is quite happy with the life he is living at the moment but feels like there's always space to improve. This little grocery shop is the main place to buy your much needed groceries for a price that any other shops can't beat!
The Second Amendment - (Gun store)
Owned and run by Ricardo Del Matos, he is very loud mouthed, and likes to please himself before others, he is usually one sided but oddly highly observant and can be a team player when needed. This gun store is the best if you're looking for a selection of guns and a stockpile of ammo to buy!
Great Mountain Yard hotel - (Hotel)
Owned and managed by Rita Oldkins, she is very kind and helpful but independent, unconventional and despises routine. She's also very laid back and is very adaptable. This little hotel is perfect if you want luxury, the feeling of a warm shelter and a plate full of food at the dining hall! The Hotel has 4 floors and about a dozen rooms on each floor.
Fantastic Apartments - (Apartment Block)
This 4 floor apartment block is owned and managed by Richard Fenrick II. He is quite a shadowy figure who doesn't like to engage in small talk, he usually dislikes company and would rather spend time in the Do or Dine! drinking coffee, or writing plays as he is an aspiring playwright.
Glen's Cove General Health clinic - (Medical Facility)
Government owned building; this little Clinic has a wonderful staff which are trained to tend wounds and give prescription drugs if needed!
Sheriff's Department - (Law)
Government owned building; this little sheriff's department has trained officers which look over the little town and arrive to calls of help! The Staff comprises of: Sheriff Terry Mills, Deputy Sheriff Brandon Harrison, Receptionist Morgana Woody-Anne. The staff is usually a little dopy and scramble-brained, but they do like to help out with anything they can!
Graveyard - (Sights)
Owned and managed by Alistair Higgins, he is very misunderstood and because of that he is quite remorseless, insensitive and extremely critical. He is also surprisingly artistic, logical and always thinks ahead. This little graveyard neighbors the GlenFord's cove and has a lovely mood to stroll through!
Greenvale forest park and GlenFord's Cove - (Sights)
The forest park is wonderful to have a stroll through and have a hike to see the wonderful scenery. The GlenFord's cove is a sight to see, it has a narrow beach with some lovely little interconnecting caves to walk through, perfect for spelunking!
--- The Occurrences Throughout Glen's Cove there have been varied paranormal disturbances and weird phenomenons. There are two types of occurrences: the Unsound, and the Night walkers The Unsound: The Unsound are also known as Shadows, Demons or Phantoms. These Shadows; These fiends have human forms but can be hugely disfigured. These Shadows are called so because they are the echoes of deaths from the past.
Night walkers: This mysterious phenomenon occurs at night. Warped and misshapen humanoid figures creep into town from the Greenvale forest park and roam the night, just after dusk, loitering on the streets and bringing misfortune and harm to those who it encounters. These creatures usually wear tattered and unkempt clothing, although they seem as though they were once human, they act like feral and territorial beasts.
There are many other strange and mysterious things unaccounted for, perhaps you would be the first to discover terrible and twisted phenomenas?

(Sorry for the plethora of hider/spoiler boxes! I thought it was the best way to keep information under a specific heading. :P)
Name: Lucas Harry Walsh Alias: "Prince Harry" Age: 30 Gender: Male Clothing: Lucas is generally suited, usually with a blue tie that amusingly counters his partners. Typically, he wears a black double-breasted suit with grey stripes, along with his pair of black, thick-framed glasses. When he's relaxing, Lucas still generally sticks to button-up shirts and nice trousers, generally sticking rather formal with his outfits. Place of Residence: Great Mountain Yard Hotel, Room 22B History: Born in Manchester, England to a single mother, Lucas spent the majority of his childhood in the UK. Growing up in a relatively peaceful suburb, Lucas was given a simple and enjoyable childhood as his mother worked incredibly hard at two jobs to ensure that they were able to live happily and without want in their apartment within the city. Lucas spent his education in the UK until roughly eighth grade, Lucas and his mother eventually moved to the United States, as his mother had gotten engaged to her American boyfriend, who she had met during his time in Manchester for work. Living with his new stepfather, Lucas was not particularly happy about moving at first, and as a result separated himself from most of the other kids in the early days of his high schooling.
Generally picked on by other students for his 'nerdy' appearance and attitude, Lucas did little and made almost no effort to go against his tormentors, spending far more of his time staying in class or the library to work, than engaging in sports or generally socializing. He was still relatively fit, however, and while Lucas never participated in any of the sports clubs at school, he kept up a regular fitness regime, with the assistance of his step-father, a Personal Trainer, who he slowly developed somewhat of a begrudging respect for. As a result of his own physique, Lucas avoided any particular physical altercations from his bullies, despite some goading on their part, and his tormenting usually remained as little more than mocking and teasing, which he learned to ignore. He held a relatively low respect for a number of his fellow students, but did not despise all of them, A few individuals gained Lucas' respect, and even trust, and quietly, he developed somewhat of a friendship with them. Devoting a great deal of his time to his studies, Lucas did quite well Academically, and graduated as one of the top students.
Using his good grades, Lucas went on to Harvard, where he studied a politics degree, particularly focusing on international security and relations. During his time at Harvard, Lucas took on many internships at government organisations, including the Department of Defense. Finding a great interest in the work he was doing, Lucas applied for a graduate program for the FBI in the final year of his degree, and after a number of tests and interviews, he was selected to take part in the program. Eventually passing the year-long program with a pair of other entrants, Lucas gained a full-time position in the FBI, partnered with David Hennings. The two made numerous investigations together, and would have been sent to the Red Seed Murders at Greenvale, but were instead sent to Glen's Cove to investigate the strange occurrences in the town. Personality: Lucas acts rather differently to his partner. While overall professional and set on the task at hand, Walsh has been noted as being somewhat of a play-boy, in the younger years he spent watching old spy movies, he clearly held more of an interest in the women than anything else. He is generally a fairly charismatic and friendly individual, and regularly cracks jokes at unnecessary and even inappropriate times. He gets along with the majority of those he works with at the Bureau, but some have had issue with his being somewhat unorthodox. Fears: Lucas is terrified of swimming in large bodies of water, he's fine with a bath or a spa, but when it comes to a large pool, lake, or the ocean, he panics. Likes/Dislikes: Unlike his partner, Lucas adores black coffee. He appreciates fine dress and dining, and is particularly a stickler for both fine wines and whisky. Lucas hates beer and cider, and cannot stand the taste of tomato. He's also not particularly fond of insects with more than six legs.
