Rose wasn't sure what she should call the man. He was the Doctor as well? Yet instead of wearing a casual pinstripe suit, he had on leather and jeans, so casual and to the point. He babbled for a bit and she did her best to comply with what he wanted. He then let out a cheery, fantastic, and they were off. Rose kept looking to him, trying to figure everything out. "Yeah he is." She just said when he mentioned the other Doctor was quite skinny. "Guess he forgets to eat when he's too busy with saving the day." She had almost mentioned Luna but she quickly corrected herself. She wasn't jealous of that. Why would she be? She just met the Doctor and he then ditched her. No big deal right? Okay, she was clearly still upset with him but now she was with the other Doctor who seemed more goal oriented. That was a great attribute she welcomed at the current moment. The Doctor then tossed her a banana at her request. "A banana?" It wasn't that she didn't like them but she found it odd to just carry them around. Oh well. It meant she could eat something which was a lot better than nothing. "Thanks." Rose grinned and began to peel it. "Gotta admit it's a relief to not be ditched by both of you." She couldn't help but comment as they surveyed the empty classrooms and corridors. "I wonder if the Marauder's Map knows where it is." Of course she doubted it would and on top of it, Harry probably had it and he was long gone. Their next best guess would be to talk to the Headmaster himself but Rose was sure he was busy, probably off looking for Horcruxes if she remembered correctly. So they were on their own. Of course the other Doctor could help them but Rose didn't mind the one she had now. He was very interesting, very different from the other one. And just because she was mad at one didn't mean she had to be mad at both of them. "I'm glad you got everything back." She commented as she finished eating the potassium rich fruit. Rose wasn't sure what else to say. She spotted a trash bin and threw the banana peel away and they continued to look around. How could something be so hard to find? As they checked out the third floor, where Fluffy used to dwell, it seemed the Doctor's screwdriver was picking up a signal. They followed it and opened an ordinary closet and saw the TARDIS parked there. "That wasn't so bad." She grinned and looked at it. It looked just like the other one. The Doctor unlocked the door and they headed inside. "So now that you're retiring from teaching, what do you think you're gonna do? Where you gonna go?" She asked him. It was hard to imagine what this Doctor must be feeling, probably anxiety or excitement or confusion or even a sense of rebirth. She didn't know but she almost found herself envious of him. He had a new lease on life and yet, she felt stuck in place and a bit trapped, bored almost. How had Hogwarts lost its charm? She then realized she wasn't needed anymore. Now that she had done her job, she would probably be taken back home to Mickey and her mum and her dull life. Her face fell and she leaned back on the odd shaped pillar near her. Yes, she missed them but she had barely gotten to see outer space. She had been busy doing wizardly school work and running herself ragged. "I guess I've gotta home." She said, her question to him, having made her ask herself the very same thing. "I'm happy for ya though." She flashed the Doctor a smile. "It's been amazin' here, totally unbelievable." Rose sighed and glanced toward the exit. - - - Luna was afraid she had overstepped her boundaries when she spoke to the Doctor. But then the silence broke and he grinned wide, telling her it was the best news he had heard in a while. She blushed and returned the smile, happy that he had responded well to her idea. It was a crazy one but she wasn't fearful. After that a bit more silence fell between them but it didn't feel weird. When the Doctor began to speak again, she could tell it was a matter more serious than the idea of time travel. They snacked and he discussed what was going happen thanks to him and two TARDIS' being in the same place. He spoke of the danger but not knowing what it would be exactly. He spoke of his most fearsome enemies and said any of them could be headed for Hogwarts at the detection of such a big event in time and space. It was a worrisome idea and Luna knew it was hurting the Doctor. "Whatever is coming, we'll be ready for it." She assured him. "I've got a lot of spells to try out and you have Rose too and maybe the other Doctor now. I don't think things are anywhere near hopeless." Luna said, not at all thrown off by this new collection of information. The afternoon went on and soon it was time for dinner. They headed there together and ended up eating at one large table as it seemed it was the only one in the Great Hall. All other tables, staff included, were gone as it seemed there was no need to have large empty tabled when people could just come together since they stayed at school. Thankfully there weren't many who had showed up when they had, so they didn't have to pressure of making small talk. Instead Luna was able to talk to the Doctor as well as two other professors who had showed up. Much to everyone's unspoken delight, Umbridge hadn't showed up. After supper, Luna and the Doctor decided to head up to the Astronomy Tower because its view was notorious. And there wasn't much else to do. Luna didn't have anyone and Rose seemed to be somewhere else. As they made their way up the stairs, Luna saw the moon come into view. It was a small sliver but in reality it was all still there, only most of it was hiding from view in the dark shadows of space. She smiled and walked over to the edge where the railing was. If they looked hard enough, the TARDIS could be seen in the thick maze of the woods. She turned back to the Doctor who had joined her. "I know you must feel unsettled and unprepared for whatever's coming." She considered and looked back outside over the vast land that Hogwarts sprawled over. It was a beautiful sight and she would miss it very much. Even so, she wanted to go. It was something she knew in her heart and to meet the Doctor, she was eternally thankful. And just because she would leave, didn't mean she couldn't come back. Luna felt the buried wisdom inside of her coming out. "Do you think we'd be able to go somewhere? I mean before whatever comes..." She tried to ask him. Maybe that was too risky. She didn't know but she just thought that if he got out of his head a little, he might be better focused when the judgement day arrived. "Maybe it's unwise but we could leave at 9 and be right back at 9:01 right? That's how your machine works? Maybe a vacation would do you some good. Is all I meant." She cleared her throat and looked to him, unsure if he would enjoy that idea or not. - - - Harry seemed receptive to the idea of going out. After all, they didn't have to obey any of Umbridge's ludicrous rules. "Okay sure. I'll get my coat and we can go." She said. They had already cleaned up so there wasn't any harm in going out for a bit. She hurried up to her room and shut the door for a moment. She just stood there and thought to herself. 'Harry's here. In my house. And now what?' Her mind was spinning yet at the same time, things were moving so slow. She had Harry all to herself, the boy who brought rumors and drama and danger everywhere he went and he was at her house. She found herself oddly excited. She knew how she felt and maybe this would make things harder but at the same time, it could make things better. So much better. But how? Hermione looked to her cat and just went into her closet, not wanting to keep Harry waiting any longer. Having snagged a red sweater, she headed back down. Harry was ready to go as well and with that, they headed outside. She locked the door behind them and pocketed her keys. "Sometimes it's hard to not use spells for simple stuff when you get so used to it." She smiled a little and glanced down to her boots. She had tucked her wand inside her right boot, just in case. With the attacks and paranoia swirling around them, she needed to be able to defend herself if the need should arise. And she was sure Harry was armed as well. She wouldn't blame him if he was. Actually, she'd be more surprised if he didn't have his wand on him at the moment. But she decided not to bring it up. They needed to talk about school or anything else like that. It seemed like, for the moment, they were safe, outside of everything else that tried to bring them down. "So tomorrow we can head to the library if you want. Or we can go into town and just window shop." She said. Speaking of which, she did need to get something for Harry. She had an idea in mind already. Christmas was only a few days away but what she had in mind would take more time, rather than money. Unlike the boy-who-lived, her parents didn't have a large bank account but she was fine with the simple things. That was something she and Ron had in common, they were used to surviving on a little. Then again, Harry was used to it as well. It was why the three friends worked so well together, they were used to fighting for the important things and people in their lives. They weren't spoiled like Draco Malfoy. As they walked along, she found herself growing more quiet. Something was coming to mind but she didn't really want to get into it. But she still couldn't help but wonder about Harry and Ginny and Harry and Cho. She wanted her friend to be happy and if he was happy with either girl, that was fine, she would back off but she just wasn't sure. Keeping her mouth shut, she folded her arms over her chest to keep warm. It wasn't raining or snowing per say, but there was a mist in the cool air. They got to the park and Hermione quickly took a seat on one of the vacant swings. "I think my parents want to take us out tomorrow night and cut down a tree." She commented, trying to get back to a safe topic. "But don't worry, we're not the family who goes around caroling." She laughed a little and pushed herself on the swing, her toes digging into the most sand under them.
