[@Flagg] Yes, the Firm might indeed be the people Cain got some of his more dubious books, supplies and information from, perhaps in exchange for the occasional freelance work for them (identifying items of an arcane nature - must be cheaper than sending it back to the headquarters - or maybe cooperation on missions that require 'mage support').

I'll have to wait and see how difficult it's going to be to look into the Nyctari's target, but even if that should prove relatively easy, Cain might need Kurtz's help with the Slayer case once he knows where the Calhoun/Blackwood trail leads.
