Also, name doesn't really make or break your government. The Holy Roman Empire was basically a confederation despite its name. EDIT: You don't nessicarily need them to be a certain name. You could have them be something like Tribal Guard or hell, go back to native american roots and call them Braves. I'm willing to help if need be for names and military units, I rather enjoy doing that sort of stuff ^^
