<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>
Which one is slightly more important in the event of teamkilling?
Each has their own pros and cons which will influence the Naga over all, together they provide best odds to surviving.
Amaryllis' effects:
1. Matriarch, meaning her ability to progress the Naga into change would be easier and prevent issues like Rebellion from rising. However it will take much longer and tension with Mar's and Lyn's existence does hurt, namely as Mar was once one of her tyros (a high ranking female Naga)
2. She can easily order the Naga not to be aggressive toward Mar and Lyn, but she can't coax the Naga into accepting them fully. So they will ultimate isolate Mar completely which will make things harder for Mar, should that ever happen, to take over all leadership of the Naga. They will act and treat her as an outsider, far worse compared to her banishment.
3. Amaryllis has to consider her people over Mar and Lyn, making choices that benefit them as a whole. While she doesn't fully agree with Mar's actions, she won't judge the Naga completely and will try her best to prevent any harm from the Naga from be falling on them. Including the information that Ssarak has unintentionally revealed with Mar's history. Sadly, she might be the only Matriarch living with the way Chessy is wiping out the Naga, unless the College is persuaded to get involved, and her death might alter the Nage from a Matriarchal system into a Patriarch due to Lyamis' own success. This can lead to several issues associated with rapid change and even a dividing among the race as a whole, possibly wiping them out.
Lyamis' effects:
1. Lyamis, should he live and not the Matriarch, is going to force the Naga into more drastic changes. Their system as mention before will alter rapidly from a Matriarch system into a Patriarch one. Meaning males will gain authority while females lose it, their aggression edging into the way things are done and possibly not the best for a race who becomes violent to rapid changes. This will result in lowering numbers, division among the race, conflict and serious issues with some tyros accepting males as equals or betters. Males who have often been on the lower caste will seek to rise higher and this is something Lyamis has little issue with, believing he can use this to push the Naga into playing a more active role within the world.
2. He doesn't hold as much authority as Amaryllis, even with the impressive impression he's made with his currently group. So trying to get the Naga to listen as well to him as any Matriarch is an issue and won't happen fast enough for him since the race is being killed off at a quick rate. Lyamis would have to press his dominance in the worse way, though he will detour the aggression as much as possible away from his sister and her offspring. Unlike the Matriarch he hasn't gained the right or experience in the Naga's eyes, in addition he doesn't have the whole race over his own family mentality.
3. He would actively pushing for change, which means his chances are best at getting the Naga to fully accept Lyn as well as Mar. He has proven that Naga can and should change to survive. However many will disagree and try to fight him for the role, a fact that can create tension through the race and reject change by a select few.
Does this help any? As for team killing, not sure. Right now, Rtron's attack hit at least a Naga but who it attacks or is turned into Malice is influenced by the students. Example, unless someone actively posts they stopped the arrow heading toward Lyamis or the Matriarch, they will get hit and most likely turn malice. If both die, you fail that aspect of the mission.
